(Izukus backstory part 12)

There they were..

Todoroki and izuku were up on stage along with all of class 3-A and 3-B being called up to receive their hero licenses and diploma..

Izuku wasn't Sure he wanted to be a hero anymore and Todorokis mind was running wild with dark thoughts

What if's
But's
How's

So many questions
So little time to answer them

And yet, they still walked forward when their names were called

Izuku was valedictorian and a few months prior... before everything happened
Before all might- no.. his father figure died and his mind broke into hopeless shards of insanity he has wrote his big speech that was supposed to end off the year and set them on their paths to become hero's

"-and now.... izuku Midoriya with this years valedictorian speech!"

He got up and walked over to the podium- speech in hand

Except.. he never read it
He tore it in half and took a deep breath ready to speak his mind

"I don't think I would have made it this far without the constant support I have.. my mother, principal nezu, the teachers, my friends, they all helped me get here.... I don't know how good of a hero I'll make but I'm aiming for the top! Kirishima, kacchan Todoroki.. even all m-might,
They believe I'm destined for greatness
The thing is...
I've spoken with the devil
I've looked him right in the eyes before and decided my destiny
I know I'll be great! I'll make it to number one and always strive for the top! I'm gonna try to be the best of the best and I know my classmates and any future hero's will all do great as well.."

Everyone clapped at his speech
Some had tears in their eyes as he spoke
But what they didn't know was that when he said top... he wasn't talkin About being the best hero....
oh no

He loved to be feared
He loved the desperation in those students eyes when they realized he was stronger

He loved the feeling of showing those who were fake their place in society

He craved that power again and he knew that's what Shoto meant when he said he was going off grid after graduation

When his son debut as a villain it would be the biggest fuck you Shoto could ever give his 'father' endeavour

Izuku and Todoroki had a plan
After graduation
After everyone was asleep
They would both sneak out at the exact stroke of midnight and leave nothing but a note

This was there final goodbye..

Everyone had received there diplomas and gone home

It was 10 o'clock at night in the Midoriya household and Inko Midoriya was doing the dishes

Izuku had just flushed all of his pills down the toilet and decided it was time for goodbyes

"Hey mom?"

Inko turned off the water from the sink and looked up at her son with a smile

"Yes sweetie?"

Izukus eyes started to tear up and he hugged his mother as if she would disappear at any moment

"I love you"

"I love you to honey"

Just as he pulled away he gave his mother a small kiss on her forehead and whispered the last words she would hear from him

"Goodbye.."

(Aaah! The backstory is almost over! I've decide to change all of the chapters names from
(Backstory~#)chapt name* to
•(BCSTRY)chapt name• because it's shorter
I'm gonna put the numbers of the backstory at the start of the chapter so it won't get confusing
Anyways like I said last time after that backstory is over before I get back to the normal plot I'm doing an extra chapter explaining what happened to tomura mamagiri dabi and toga so y'all won't get confused later on in the original future/villain deku plot)
