For two weeks, Yibo waited for anyone other than Zhan, his in-laws, or the boss to praise him for the arrest of Xian Chu. True, he realized that as a secret agent, he could not expect to be praised ceremoniously in public. But he had still wished for praise from someone higher up. After all, this was his first solo mission, since Zhan could not be with him in time because of the accident. Besides, Xian Chu was wanted worldwide and was even on the wanted list of Interpol! And he alone managed to arrest her!

And then, when Yibo had already given up hope, he and Zhan were called to the mayor's office. And there Yibo received not only praise from the mayor, but also an award and a very special gift. Namely, the mayor made it official that the marriage between Yibo and Zhan was legally registered and recorded in this country. And that was a million times more precious to Yibo than any praise in the world!

When the two got home, their families were already waiting for them. Yibo immediately ran to his mother and patted her big round belly. "Hey little sister, your big brother is back and he has great news. As of today, ZhanZhan and I are officially registered as a married couple in this country. Isn't that great? Don't be too excited about it though. Stay with our mom in the belly. You can congratulate me later. But now you have 7 weeks left." He said grinning with one ear pressed to her belly.

Ever since Yibo found out about his mother's pregnancy, he could hardly wait to meet his new sibling. He got even more excited when he found out he was getting a baby sister. Since then, he talked to his mother's belly every day and told his little unborn sister everything that happened to him.

As always, the belly bulged where Yibo pressed his ear to it. "Oh what's that? Your little foot or your fist?" Yibo asked with a laugh, tapping his finger against the bulge on the belly.

"She's not even born yet and she's already totally crazy about you. As soon as she hears your voice, she starts kicking and punching." Said Yibo's mother laughing.

"Because she knows how fond I am of her already." Replied Yibo giggling and kissing her belly.

"So how was that? Your marriage is now officially registered?" Yibo's mother asked. Zhan and his parents joined them.

"Yes. The mayor took it into his own hands. And even better, we could even adopt children if we wanted to."

"And do you want to adopt?" Zhan's mother asked.

"Maybe someday. But not yet." Said Zhan.

"Exactly. I've only started working as a special agent and I'm having a huge amount of fun working with my husband. Whether it's acting as a trainer at the academy in disguise or in the field like recently. We still have a lot of plans together. And no children fit into them. But later maybe, in a few years or so, we could think about it." Explained Yibo.

"That's the spirit. Go ahead and have a good romp. Enjoy your life together as a couple. And someday, when you're ready to share your love, you can think about having a child." Said Zhan's father. Yibo's father agreed with him. The two's parents have become good friends over the past few months. And Yibo's parents just recently helped the two buy a house in the family's village and even got them the furnishings for the house.

To celebrate, the families of the two held a barbecue with all the family members. Everyone had a great time at the celebration. And as Yibo lay in Zhan's arms under the starry sky that evening, he smiled thinking about how everything had started between them. Happily, he looked up at Zhan, pulled his head down to him, and kissed him. "Do you know how happy I am? Do you know how much I love you?" He asked him.

Zhan gently caressed Yibo's cheek, kissed his forehead and replied, "You are no less happy than I am. And I love you no less than you love me."

Yibo nodded. "Exactly." Smiling, he pressed Zhan's hand to his chest and played with Zhan's wedding ring. "It was love at first sight then. I saw a photo of you and fell head over heels in love with you. Sometimes I still can't believe that you and I are married now. And you know, I still love you as much today as I did then. Even a little more now."

"You know it was love at first sight for me too. From the beginning I knew that I wanted exactly what I have now with you. To hold you in my arms under the stars at night, to call you husband, and to fall asleep holding you in my arms every night."

"I will fall asleep in your arms for the rest of our lives. Because there's nowhere else I want to fall asleep but in your arms."

"Good, now come into the house with me. Let's shower and go to bed. Tomorrow will be a busy day at the academy. And before we go to sleep, I'd like to cuddle with you a little more."

"When you say cuddle, I hope you mean sex, right?"

"Of course, what else?"

"Oh thank God. I was afraid you really just wanted to cuddle. Then I'd be really worried about us."

"Haha and why?"

"Because we said every day means every day!"

"And I haven't forgotten that."

"Fortunately, you haven't. Because I still insist on it."

"Oh really?"

"Of course. It's your own fault. If you weren't so good at spoiling me and taking me to paradise sexually, things might be different."

"Mhhh, no I like it the way it is."

"Me too." Replied Yibo laughing and lunged at Zhan kissing him so that he ended up lying on his back with Yibo on top of him. "You know no one can see us here, right?"

"I know. Why do you ask?"

"Because I just remembered that we've never done it out here before. And I think we should finally make up for it tonight."

"Are you sure you want to have sex out here on the lawn?"

"Yes, I'm sure."

"Good, let me get you out of your clothes then." Said Zhan with a grin and began to undress Yibo. That night they didn't sleep in their marriage bed, but spent the whole night outside under the stars and finally fell asleep there.

🛫⏱7 weeks later...

Like every evening when Zhan and Yibo returned from their work at the academy, they first stopped at Yibo's parents' house. Especially in the past few days, since Yibo's father was still in the hospital after an appendectomy and Yibo's heavily pregnant mother was home alone. But unlike the past few days, Yibo's mother was not waiting for the two of them on her front porch.

Worried, the two ran to Yibo's parents' house and called for Yibo's mother. Only after calling out for the third time did they hear her calling from the bedroom. "I'm here." She called out in a tortured voice.

Hastily, the two ran upstairs to the bedroom and found Yibo's mother lying on the bed. She was in severe labor and was all alone. Yibo and Zhan, who had both taken a birthing class especially at the request of Zhan's parents, immediately jumped into action and prepared everything for the birth of Yibo's little sister.

"I'm so glad you're here now to help me." Said Yibo's mother.

"Luckily in time mom." Replied Yibo. His parents had asked him and Zhan to assist in the birth when the time came. It was the explicit wish of both of them.

It should still take an hour until Yibo's mother got the first contractions. Yibo held his mother's hand while Zhan sat halfway between her legs, ready to help the baby come into the world. When she had another pressing contraction, Zhan said in a gentle voice. "Now push. I can already see a part of her head."

She pushed as hard as she could. Then another pressing contraction and another. When the next pressing contraction came, Zhan said, "One more push as hard as you can and you'll have it."

Yibo sat behind his mother, reached his hands for her to hold onto, and breathed along with his mother until she pushed. Zhan pulled the little Lan (orchid) out of her. "You did it." Said Zhan and had tears of joy in his eyes.

"Yibo, please cut her umbilical cord." Said Yibo's mom exhausted and relieved. Yibo cut the umbilical cord and took a sucker to free her nose and mouth. Since she wouldn't cry, he gave her a little pat on the bottom. She cried and Yibo cried happily with her. Then he handed her to his mother and put her on her chest.

"My little sister Lan, I welcome you to the family." Yibo said and hugged Zhan while sobbing. "She's so cute and so tiny."

"Yes she is Bo." Replied Zhan.

After a few minutes of Yibo's mom cuddling with Lan and kissing her, Yibo took his sister into his arms. He kissed her forehead and bathed her together with Zhan. Then he dressed her, cuddled her for a moment, and placed her in his mother's arms. "My little Lan. Now finally your big brother can see you, hold you and kiss you. He's a great big brother and loves you very much. Just like your daddy and I love you." She said.

Yibo laid down on the bed next to his mom and sister and stroked Lan's black hair. "Out of all my siblings, you are the sweetest. I love you my little Lan. And your brother-in-law, my husband Zhan loves you too. But for now, get a good rest. Your birth was exhausting for you and mom. And you and I still have plenty of time to get to know each other better." Yibo kissed his mom on the cheek and his sister on the head, then left them both to sleep and called his father to tell him the happy news.

Two hours later, one by one, the other family members came to greet the new family member. Yibo made sure everyone's hands were washed and disinfected before letting anyone into his mother and sister's room.

Later, when silence had finally fallen, his mother asleep and his sister asleep in her crib as well, Yibo snuggled up to Zhan and said, "I want one of those, too."

"What do you want?" Asked Zhan Tired and confused.

"A baby like that. I don't want to adopt. Can't we find a surrogate and have her carry our own baby?"

"I thought you still wanted to wait?"

"I want to. I'm not saying I want a baby now. But in a few years, I want to have one. And when that time comes, I want us to have a baby from us."

"All right. Anything you want my love."

"But you had to want it too ZhanZhan."

"I want everything you want. You know that. And to be honest, I already know whose sperm we're going to take."

"You do?"

"Yes."

"And whose? Yours or mine?"

"Your sperm. Because if we're going to have a baby carried by a surrogate, it's going to be one that's yours Bo."

"And why mine of all people?"

"Because a baby of yours will surely be cute and talented in everything. This baby will be a fighter and can accomplish everything."

"But it would be the same if it were yours."

"Bo, I have the last word in this matter!"

"Oh ho. The Lord has put his foot down and this is how it's done."

"Exactly!"

"All right. I'll go along with that. What do you say? Can we go home?"

"I don't think we should leave your mother alone that night."

"What now? I'm tired and I don't think I can make it through a night watch and then work in the morning."

"Then we'll ask my mom if she can watch your mom. Because I'm tired too."

"Great idea." Said Yibo and called Zhan's mom. She immediately agreed to watch Yibo's mom. So Zhan and Yibo could go home, make love in the shower, and then fall asleep happy and exhausted.

And with that, another day in Yibo's adventurous life ended. And many more incredible, fantastic and exciting adventures await him and his dream man. Whether as an idol, a dance coach or super secret special agent. He was ready for anything and was looking forward to everything the future had in store for him.

In the end, his life turned out quite differently than he had always planned. But Yibo is just happy about that. For a better life than this, he can not imagine. Because with Zhan at his side, Yibo is absolutely convinced, there can be no bad days. Because what could be more beautiful and important than to be forever in the heart of the man you love and are loved by?
