Chapter 46 - Future plans

A moment ago, they were making progress in their investigation, finding out how the politician could afford his expensive birthday party when he had no money. With this money, the politician's business partner ensured that a large shipping container could enter the country unchecked by customs and be picked up by its recipient. They all sat down in the living room, with Yibo sitting very close to Zhan on the sofa, clinging to his arm. "It's nice to finally meet you." Said Zhan's mom as she handed Yibo a glass of water.

"I'm happy too." Replied Yibo shyly.

"You see honey? Our son really has good taste. Yibo doesn't just look so good with makeup on. He's cute and handsome without makeup, too. And his eyes tell me he's very smart too." Said Zhan's father proudly.

"And you are still embarrassing me. Did you think our son would fall in love with a guy who looks like Quasimodo without make up?" Zhan's mom replied.

"Quasimodo? No make up in the world could turn a Quasimodo into a Wang Yibo!"

"Well, that was just an example."

"Stupid example. Completely over the top."

"Oh come on. Don't act like a teenager just because your favorite idol is here."

"He's our son's boyfriend. And yes, I like his music."

"I like him and his music too! But I'm not freaking out just because he's here now."

"I'm not freaking out either."

"See? You have nothing to worry about. My parents are both your fans. Big fans, even." Whispered Zhan in Yibo's ear. Yibo giggled sheepishly in response.

"Oh how cute you guys are together." Wondered Zhan's mom.

"Told you, didn't I? I said watch out, someday we'll see those two together and they'll look cute together." Replied Zhan's dad with a grin.

"Yeah, yeah you said it before. I know." Sighed Zhan's mother.

"Well anyway Yibo. We are very happy to have you visit us today and meet you."

"Thank you Mr. Jiang." Yibo replied still a little shy.

"I have to thank you. You can call me Fengmian. Or father. Whatever you like."

"And you can call me Ziyuan or Mother." Offered Zhan's mom.

"Thank you father and mother." Said Yibo with a grin.

"Hah this is nice. Our sons are finally happy again and have great partners." Said Zhan's dad.

"So you already know that Cheng and Haikuan are a couple again?" Wanted to know Zhan.

"Mn. They were here yesterday afternoon and told us. Finally, everything is fine now." Replied Zhan's mom.

Zhan and Yibo nodded. Yibo was exactly of the same opinion. Finally everything is good again. And finally they are all happy again. And while he was thinking that, he had to think of his father. Was it time to reconcile with him, too?
