After Yibo had processed the shock from the morning a bit, also thanks to the encouragement and comforting words and actions of Zhan, Yibo had been able to get rid of the rest of his frustration at the training when he was practicing with Emily again for their performance together. He was still frustrated and angry because his great-grandmother's necklace and cross had been stolen from him, but he was feeling better.

During lunch break, he called his mom and told her about the theft of the necklace and the precious cross. To his surprise, his dad was also home and so he could tell him about it right away too. His parents did not react angrily, but were sad. For one thing, their son had been robbed, and for another, they could not understand how anyone could steal such a sacred symbol without fear of God's punishment.

During this phone call, Yibo felt that his parents had now become even more extreme in their beliefs than they already were. Actually, as he realized at that moment, they had always been like that. But it got worse when his mom had almost been killed. Therefore, the conversation had become very connected to their faith.

Since Yibo grew up with this strict faith and at least his mom always connected everything that happened in the world with God or the work of the devil, this was nothing new for him. Sometimes it bothered him, sometimes it didn't. On this phone call it bothered him, even a lot. Because he didn't want to talk to his parents about God and his punishments for sins, he just wanted to tell them what had happened.

Nevertheless, the phone call ended with them praying together and his mom asking God to punish the thief. Afterwards, when Yibo called his brother and told him about the theft and about this strange phone call with his parents, his brother explained to him that their mom calls him almost every night to pray together.

After the phone call with his brother, Yibo thought that it was only noon and the day had already been so crazy. He wondered what else was going to happen on a day as strangely crazy as this one.

When Yibo finally went to the cafeteria for lunch, he saw Zhan and Alessia sitting at a table in the very back of the room. To him, it looked like the two of them were discussing something. When he picked up his lunch and sat down at the table with his friends, they excitedly told him that Zhan and Alessia were fighting because Zhan had rejected her in the morning and sent her away.

Yibo had already guessed it, because he knows Alessia well enough by now to know that she doesn't put up with that kind of thing. In his eyes she is a scheming diva who always gets what she wants. And when things don't go her way, she goes completely crazy. Well, normally it would bother him now when he sees her and Zhan together. But after Zhan made it clear to him that they are not a couple, it didn't bother him anymore. Besides, they were fighting, so everything was fine. At least with Yibo!

"I um..." Yibo began after Cheng finished telling why Zhan and Alessia were fighting. But he didn't finish the sentence because an announcement came over the loudspeakers from the assistant of the director.

"Dear students. After all the events and the unrest that is going on at the moment, the director and all the staff have decided to throw a party for you. With this they hope that the tempers will calm down a bit. The party will take place tonight. You are asked to dress in white clothes, because the motto of the party is: dancing in the black light. The party will start at 8 pm and end at around midnight." Explained the assistant.

Most of the people in the cafeteria cheered loudly. Only a few seemed disinterested. There were also cheers at Yibo's table, as his friends were very happy. Yibo himself did not cheer, but was also happy. It would be the first party ever for him. And after everything that had been going on lately, they needed this party too!

After lunch, Yibo and Emily hurried back to the training center. They had signed up for one of the training rooms for two hours and they had to hurry to get to the training room on time before someone else went in. If you are not there on time, you are out of luck if someone else went into the room in the meantime.

Because the competitors are very strong, Yibo and Emily didn't waste a second of their precious training time before they had to sit in a lecture hall for two hours after a shower. Actually, they wanted to train again after that. But after they learned about the party, they decided against it, so as not to be completely exhausted and too tired in the evening.

When the two arrived at the dormitory, they asked if they had received any mail, as they did every day, and Yibo was given a small box by the housefather with his name on it. He immediately opened it and could not believe what he saw. He took out the contents. A small note on it said, "Sorry." And his necklace with the golden cross!

He immediately showed it to the father of the house and wanted to know who had left the box for him. But unfortunately he did not know. And the student who was supposed to help him that day had not even shown up for his duty. According to the house father, the small box was already in Yibo's drawer when he distributed the mail to the students' respective drawers.

Of course, with the necklace and cross back, Yibo had to let the two police officers from the morning know. "Really? I never noticed the engraving." Replied Yibo in amazement, looking at the engraving. "That's really strange. I've had the cross for so many years and had it in my hands all the time. But I never noticed the engraving."

"Maybe a sign from God?" Asked the other police officer with a grin.

"Yeah sure." Replied Yibo shaking his head. But then he had to grin as well. Now that the necklace and the cross were back, his mood was at its best again.

After he had informed his parents and his brother, this time only in a short message, about the reappearance of the cross, Yibo concentrated completely on preparing himself for the evening and the party. For him, that meant he would borrow a bicycle from the father of the house and ride it to the hairdresser and buy some new clothes from his savings. This is because he has no white clothes in his closet in the dormitory.

The visit to the hairdresser was quickly done and to the fashion store Yibo did not have far to go, because it was at the end of the same street from the hairdresser.

When he entered the fashion store, cheap clothes of good quality, he caught sight of a person he had not expected to see. Zhan! And this one had seen Yibo immediately when he came into the store. "Well, I guess you need white clothes too, don't you?" Asked Zhan.

"Mn. So do you, I see. Did you spot any nice clothes?" Yibo wanted to know.

"Not really. I just grabbed a white shirt now and some white pants. But I'm thinking maybe I should go to another fashion store. Here, unfortunately, the selection of white clothing is very limited and restricted."

"Where is the nearest store?"

"I think about 1 kilometer from here."

"Mhhh, maybe I should go there then?"

"Will you take me with you Yibo?"

"How did you get here? I came here by bike."

"So did I. I borrowed it from your house father. Shall we ride together?"

"I'd love to." Yibo replied. Zhan neatly put back the clothes he had picked out earlier and then the two set off on their bikes to that other fashion store. Once there, the two quickly found what they were looking for. They bought the same clothes and Yibo even had enough money left to afford a pair of white shoes. They were just very simple shoes made of fabric, but they would be enough for the party.

As the two of them stood outside the store by their bikes, Zhan asked, "What do you say if we don't head back right away yet? We still have a few hours and I thought maybe we could go out for ice cream or I don't know, a hamburger or whatever you're in the mood for."

Yibo didn't have to think to have an answer for Zhan. He already knew it before Zhan even finished his question. "Sure very much. A hamburger sounds good. Besides, it doesn't cost much and I can afford it just fine."

Zhan was completely stunned when Yibo told him that. Yibo told him every detail. How he had it in the mail, what was written on the note, and what the policemen said and did. Zhan listened to him intently, which Yibo enjoyed very much. The two didn't even notice how time passed until Zhan's cell phone rang and an enraged Alessia wanted to know from him where he was now and when he would be back.

The two were back at the academy an hour before the party. Yibo thanked Zhan for the lovely afternoon and meal, who hugged him and told him they could do it again, then Yibo hurried to the dorm and his room. He styled his hair, put on his new white clothes, and helped Youn, who had also just returned from a date with Wooseok, with his hair styling.

Ready for the party, Yibo entered the big gymnasium, which had been specially prepared for this event, on time at 8 pm. What else will this crazy day have in store for him?
