" But dad ......I thought to wear ma's jewellery....it will suit the saree too ".

Reena pointed towards the box which had her mother's jewels but Rajendra Desai was not in mind to allow any of her request.

He was convinced that she will try to escape and was determined to get her married without any more embarrassment.

" You will be wearing the ones sent from your in-laws.......it is mrs Bhairya's heirloom jewels so you are wearing it .......end of conversation!".

He left the room giving her no chance to place any more request to him for the function.

Reena wiped her lone tear and looked at her mother's jewels, the only thing that she had her mother's essence.

She looked at the mirror and started to wear the bangles. Indhu who noticed her friend's emotional less face, took a bad and kept her mother's jewels in it without Reena's knowledge.

If Reena is not going to stand up for herself, I'll do it for her !!.....she set her mind as she went to hug her friend.

The staff in the mansion came inside the room and informed about the arrival today of cars from the Bhairya mansion.

Indhu who was going to accompany her friend was stopped at the entrance, since Rajendra Desai wanted to be presented with Reena and suspected that they were still upto plans to ruin the wedding.

Reena didn't utter a single word, as she sat by her father, with her stepbrother being seated in the front seat .

After few hours, the car finally reached the mansion. She saw few people already gathered through the window.

Reena was shocked as she found her father opening the door for her. She held his palm to get balance, while he held her wrist in a tight grip.

" If you try to pull any stunt there , I won't think twice before killing you!!......get that in your mind!!." He warned her and then placed a kiss on her cheek as he brought her towards the people who had gathered for them.

They were none other than Rocky's grandmother, narmadha and few other relatives from the groom's side , prepared to welcome her.

They did aarti for Reena and led the way inside the mansion.

Reena's father was called to check few preparations for the ritual, while Reena was just gazing around the mansion.

She knew that Rocky belonged to a rich family, but now she can see that he is filthy rich.

She saw various preparations being made across the mansion, with a mandap being already set .

She also saw few guests arriving and narmadha went to greet them leaving Reena with Rocky's grandmother.

Reena felt quite nervous and looked behind her to see whether Indhu had reached the mansion.

" Reena !!...... don't be sad beta!!..... you'll never miss your home, I can guarantee it !!"

Reena just passed a smile to her ,and kept looking for Indhu.

Reena looked shocked as Rocky's grandma asked others to continue their work and then went towards a corner of the room.

" Janu , bring them here !!".

" Yes dadi ma!!". She heard a sound of a girl as she descentes from the stairs, with a box.

It Reena few minutes to realise that it was none other than jai's younger sister.

" Hello bhabhi!!......I'm really sorry that I couldn't be there for the aarti !!.....but Bhai wanted me to-"

" Zip your mouth janu !!..... don't spoil your bhabhi's surprise!!!!".

" Yes ....yes !!......here dadi ma!!." She forwarded a box to her and left the hall.

Reena was shocked as she held her plams in her grip , but she knew that she doesn't have the right to ask any questions and remained silent.

" These belongs to Rocky's mother!!...... though I don't favour my son , she was the best bahu( daughter in law) I can ever have.

But now she is not here to welcome you but I'm sure that she would want you to have these !!.......these are a symbol of her blessings beta !!....I would be happy if you wear them too !!.....shall I??".

Reena just noded, as grandma made her wear the bangles along with others being careful not to hurt her

" Reena, you don't know how many days I have waited for this !!.....jus a few days more, then you'll be an official member of the family too !!".

Why is she so happy about this??.....did Rocky say about us ??

" Ree!!"

Reena finally relaxed seeing Indhu beside her.

" Reena......you look really sad beta !!....is there anything bothering you??".

" Yes dadi !!......she misses her mother!!".

" Who is this beta ?".

" She is my friend Indhu !!".
Indhu took blessings from her and opened her bag to reveal a box.

" These belonged to Reena's mother and she wished to wear thses for the ritual!!".

Indhu opened the box and forwarded it to dadi ma, while Reena was glaring at her friend.

" These are a perfect match for your saree!!....why didn't you wear this beta ??".

The heirloom jewels from Rocky's grandmother.

" But dadi ma you had sent the jewels along with the saree , so we thought to wear them !!".

" No beta!!.....that it a ritual in our family to present the heirloom jewels for our bride confirming the alliance!!!.....it was meant to be a present, but I didn't want you to wear them !!".

Dadi ma looked at Reena and careessed her cheek.

" And nothing can cheer a woman than her mother's presence!!".

If you both need any space , I have a room personally prepared for you !!....this is the key !!". Indhu took the keys, while Rocky's dadi ma left to check the preperations.

Rocky was impatiently waiting to see Reena when he heard from janu that she had reached the mansion. He looked at the mirror for a last time and practiced his speech.

He have also planned more surprises for her but first he wanted to have a talk with her and clarify the misunderstandings before they get officially engaged.

Rocky saw Reena smiling as Indhu made her wear some jewels. She looked absolutely breathtaking in the saree ,but what got his eyes was his mother's favourite bangles in her wrist.

He almost zoned out for a moment, admiring her as she is officially going to be his bride from today.

When he was about to take a step towards her, Rocky saw Ria walking towards them . He knew that she might spoil his plans and dragged her to a corner.

" I think that they are genuinely happy for you Ree !!".

" I'm not sure Indhu!!".

Indhu finally tied the hook but found Rocky approaching them .

" Ree don't act wierd!!.....but Rocky is coming for you!!.....I'll be back in a minute!!".

" Indhu wait!!". Reena turned her head to spot him but didn't. When she looked closer she found Rocky in a traditional attire and with a girl??

When Reena noticed she recognised that she was the same girl, with whom he cheated her.

All the emotions and nervousness changed into anger , as she realised that he is still with her after all thses years.

Why did he accept to marry me if he wanted to be with her ??

And I finally thought that there could be some changes but no !!.....he will never change!!

Reena averted her eyes as she saw the girl being more closer to Rocky. It made her to remember the past , when she had went to his restaurant to meet him , but when went to his room......no their room.....he was with a girl .

At first she thought maybe it was the girl who was trying to get intimate with him but no a few seconds later she regretted ever loving such a man.

They were so lost in their moment that they were unaware of her presence. Reena shut the door in anger and left crying which has got his attention and after a few more steps she thought he'll run behind her and ask for forgiveness but no !!.....he never came!!

" Ree !!.....you had the keys with you right!!!....I need them !!".

" What's the hurry Indhu??".

" Just don't look at that direction!!".

Reena say tears forming in indhu's eyes and she knew what could be the reason. Indhu got the keys and went to the room while Reena saw them.

Dadi ma was caressing Anu's cheek and they both took blessings as a couple. Jai forwarded his palm for her to hold and helped her with the saree too.

Reena was happy for her bestfriend, because she knew she was a gem of a person. She can never be her !.....she knew that.

But still in the corner of her heart, she had bit of Envy too. She wanted this above all in her life.

A man being with her as her support, guiding her , making her happy and atlast, being loyal to her.

Her eyes went back to Rocky who has now had the girl pushed to one of the walls and Reena immediately moved her eyes back unable to see the scene in front of her eyes.

She wanted Rocky to be like Jai , afterall they are still cousins, but that's where she was wrong, Rocky can never be Jai, and she will just be his trophy wife and nothing more .
