The Shadows Strike

So there's Bakugo.

Again.

Huffing, puffing, cursing up a storm, like a walking bomb on the verge of detonation.

Not as if he knew any other way.....

It was the next day and for some reasons I decided not to do anything in the night at all besides lay out some more traps and see where Aizawa and Vlad are staying. Aizawa as always in his damn sleeping bag. I wonder if it is his second skin by now.... or if he was just living the life of a hobo cause he in reality was one and loves it....he must be ritch....

Bakugo: What the hell is going on?! Aizawa's gotta be screwing with us. He took out Kirishima, Kaminari, and Sero all on his own? There's no way.

Ah, Kacchan.

You're so close, but still so far.

It's cute how everyone thinks Aizawa's behind this chaos.

But hey, keep underestimating me, that's part of the fun.

I watch as Bakugo stomps around the clearing, face twisted in frustration as the rest of us are sitting there in the group listening to him. For obvious reason, class 1A and class 1B couldn't join as a huge big group but split up in 2 groups just like our classes. His palms crackle with small explosions, reflecting his rising temper. He's beyond furious now. Kirishima was supposed to be his backup, but with Red Riot down for the count, Bakugo's feeling the pressure.

And by "pressure," I mean he's about two more minutes away from blowing something up. Maybe even someone.

Bakugo: Listen up, losers! We can't just sit around waiting for Aizawa to pick us off. We have to go on the offensive! If we keep playing defense, we're screwed.

Sato: But we don't even know where he is! He's probably watching us right now...

Probably watching?

Oh, buddy.

I am watching.

And you have no idea.

I shift slightly, making sure I stay out of their attention line of sight. It's almost too easy. They're rattled, and who could blame them? In their minds, Aizawa's the ghost in the woods, creeping up and taking down their strongest members without breaking a sweat. And all they can do is try to guess where he'll strike next.

But here's the kicker: it's not Aizawa. It's me. Bored little Midoriya, pulling the strings from the shadows, all because I thought this war game needed a little extra spice.

Now, what's the plan?

I've already taken out Kirishima, Kaminari, and Sero.

Some others from class 1b....

Easy peasy.

But that was just the warm-up.

We're going for something a little more... theatrical this time.

The rest of the class is huddled together, frantically trying to come up with a plan. Poor guys. They're so stressed, so tense, and so hilariously wrong about everything. I can't help but grin. I mean, they're going up against me, the guy who's been analyzing hero strategies since I could walk. And they think Aizawa's their biggest problem?

Adorable.

Bakugo: We need to split up. If we stick together, we're just giving him more targets.

Iida: Bakugo, that's exactly what he wants. Splitting up means we're vulnerable.

Oh, Iida.

Always the voice of reason.

Unfortunately for you, reason doesn't work when your opponent doesn't play by the rules.

I lean back against the wall, I'm perched in, considering my options. I could take them all out now. I have enough traps set to cause chaos for the rest of the class. But that's not the point. No, this isn't about eliminating them as fast as possible. This is about watching them squirm, watching them doubt every step they take, every move they make. This is about turning this war game into a psychological game, where I'm the only one who knows the rules.

Alright, let's start with the next round of eliminations.

Without their knowledge, I started to walk away... I wasn't the only one. Todoroki as well as Tokoyami started walking away too. I think we all kinda disperced after Bakugo and Iida started to scream at each other and for Iida that is a brand new level of annoyance in his voice.

Anyways, I spot Iida and Tokoyami discussing strategy, completely unaware that they're walking right into my trap. Now that I am back outside in the woods, I was unstopable. Tokoyami's Dark Shadow is out, scanning the area, but I've been careful to stay in the shadows myself. No need to trigger any alarms just yet.

I chuck a small stone toward them, just enough to get their attention. Tokoyami turns toward the sound, and as expected, Iida—ever the loyal class rep—charges forward to investigate. He doesn't even realize he's tripped the snare until it's too late.

In a flash, Iida's yanked off the ground, suspended upside down by a vine rope around his ankle. His glasses tumble off, and he swings helplessly, his arms flailing as he tries to reach for something, anything to cut himself loose.

Iida: What—what is this?! A trap!?

Ding ding ding!

You're catching on, Iida.

But you're still missing the bigger picture.

Tokoyami rushes to help him, but I've already set my next move in motion. A tripwire, cleverly hidden under a pile of leaves, sends him sprawling forward into a net. Dark Shadow roars in protest, but there's not much it can do when Tokoyami's tangled up in my web of tricks.

And that's two more down.

Nice and neat.

But we're not done yet.

No, we're just getting started.

I drag them both over to the clearing I've set up for the grand reveal. It's a perfect spot, right in the center of the forest, with just enough visibility for the others to find their fallen comrades after I basically knocked them out..... yeah falling down is one thing but then getting hit right by the back of their neck, painful indeed. I've got to give it to myself—my attention to detail is impeccable.

Now, how to arrange them?

Iida's already hanging upside down...well was.... let's hang him back up, so let's leave him like that then..... Tokoyami... let's prop him up, make it look like he's standing guard, except, well, he's unconscious.

I tie them up in such a way that, at first glance, it might seem like they're still on patrol. But a closer look reveals the truth. They're out cold, captured, completely helpless. It's a beautiful sight, really.

The heroes are going to freak out when they see this.

Especially Bakugo.

He'll be furious.

He'll think Aizawa's toying with them, and that's exactly what I want.

I climb a nearby tree, perching on a sturdy branch to watch the show unfold. From here, I have a perfect view of the path they'll take to reach the clearing. Sure enough, a few minutes later, Bakugo and the others come crashing through the underbrush, looking for their missing classmates.... I mean I guess he had an open bill with Iida to settle... no one was missing me yet and honestly I also saw Koda going into the woods alone so... meh!

And here comes the cavalry.

Bakugo's the first to spot Iida and Tokoyami. His eyes go wide for a split second before they narrow into slits of rage. His palms crackle with explosive energy, and for a moment, I think he's going to blast the whole forest apart.

Bakugo: AIZAWA!!! You think you can mess with us like this?!

Oh, Bakugo.

You're barking up the wrong tree.

Literally.

Mina stumbles forward, her pink skin pale as she stares at the scene in front of her. Sato clenches his fists, but even he looks unnerved. They all do. And that's the best part. The confusion, the fear—it's setting in. They're starting to realize that this game isn't just about strength or numbers. It's about who can outthink the other. And right now? They're playing my game.

I mean, look at them.

All they can do is stand there and stare at the carnage.

It's beautiful.

Almost poetic.

I now wish I had blood with me....

Oh what a nice detail that would have been....

Mina: This... this is bad. Really bad.

Sato: We can't keep letting him pick us off like this. We need a plan.

A plan?

Ha!

Good luck with that, guys.

You don't even know what game you're playing.

Bakugo's pacing back and forth like a caged animal, explosions popping off in his hands as he mutters angrily to himself. He's on the verge of losing it. Good. That's exactly what I want.

Now, what's my next move?

I could take a few more down, but that might tip my hand.

No, I need to draw this out a little longer.

Keep them guessing.

I lean back against the tree trunk, smirking to myself as Bakugo continues to rant and rave. The rest of the class which were around 5 people are starting to panic. They don't know who's next, or where the next trap is going to spring from. And that's the beauty of it. They're completely in the dark.

Honestly, it's almost too easy.

But hey, I'm not complaining.

I'm just here for a good time.
