Nova's POV

I left his office as soon as severus said he wanted to speak with him, being around one devil is more than enough.

I got bored of staying indoors so I decided to take a walk in the forest letting my thoughts flood my mind.

At this point I had almost given up on happiness, I'm looking for a reason to live but can't find one. The other day I talked like I was ready to dive into hell but with all he has told me today who the fuck I'm I kidding. I'm sure he's just gonna use me for blood supply and sex then kill me when he's had his fill.

And its all my fault, if only I ignored the sound I heard and went back to bed, if only I didn't ask for his help in the first place and survived on my own, if only I fought not to go with my fosters, if....if only I held on to my parents hand a little longer.

"Don't gooo!!" six year old me cried as I blocked the door. Both my parents crouched down with a smile wiping my tears

"We will be back soon baby, we just have work to do" dad said.

"It's not fair its my birthday you guys always work you're never home you don't care about me" I cried even more.

"Of course we care about you baby" my mom spoke staring at ground looking for what next to say"thats why we do all this work, its for you to have a better life".

I grabbed both their hands before speaking "my life is already perfect I just want you guys in it thats all I'm asking for pl..please don't....don't leave".

I saw how they struggled to hold back tears but all my begging was futile. They pulled me into a tight hug making me feel like this is the last time I'll see them.

"Take care of her, we will be back soon" my dad said to the nanny to which she nodded in response.

"No no no no no!!" I screamed at them.

"We love you" they said in unison with a sad smile. I stared at them with pleading eyes but they didn't budge. I slowly let go of their hands and ran upstairs but not without hearing my mom sniff.

I went to my room slamming the door before climbing into bed and burying my face in my pillow crying.

I watched from the window how they went into their car and drove off

"I hate you" I whispered.

Through out the day I stayed in my room, my nanny brought me food but I didn't eat, my friends came over but I sent them home not in the mood to celebrate anymore. I kept looking out the window from time to time to check if they've returned but no luck.

It was 9pm and they weren't back, I was starting to get worried. I went downstairs and picked up the house phone to call them but each attempt went to voicemail.

"They will be back soon" my nanny tried reassuring me but I ignored her and went to watch TV. I scrolled through different channels until I saw one that caught my attention.

The remote dropped out of my hands as my body went numb

"Breaking news there has been a terrible accident down oakmere road, the car has been damaged beyond repair and the bod-". My nanny quickly switched off the television but it was too late.

"Thats mom and dad's car" I mumbled.
"Don't think like that nova I'm sure its someone else" she said patting my head.

"Then why aren't they back yet?" I asked as a single tear slid down my face.

"I'm sure they are stuck in traffic don't worry your parents are fine".

I tried to convince myself of that I really did. We stayed in that position until the phone rang drawing my attention, I quickly ran to it before my nanny could stop me.

"Y-yes" I stuttered as I picked the call.

"Is this the Fawn's residence?" The man asked over the phone, I could hear lots of noice in the background

"Yes it is I'm nova fawn, Christian and lisa Fawn's daughter"

He sighed before speaking, "Hello child, is there an adult with you at the moment?" before I could answer my nanny snatched the phone from my hand.

"H-hello?" She spoke with a shaky voice.

She covered her lips and spoke quietly so I wouldn't hear what she was saying.

I watched her face, cautiously searching for any change in her expression.

Her eyes suddenly widened struggling to control her hitched breaths as she gripped the phone hard for a moment before dropping it back. My heart was beating fast hoping my negative thoughts won't be confirmed.

She stared at me and gulped hard, We shared eye contact for a while before I slowly looked away from her understanding what just happened.

I quietly went upstairs, my nanny followed me and pulled me into a hug

She kept crying but not a single sound escaped my lips.

"Its okay to cry nova" she spoke with a broken voice. She kept talking but I could barely hear a word she was saying, my heart was pounding so fast it hurt, everywhere was becoming a blur and slowly creeping into darkness.

I fell to the ground struggling to keep conscious as I heard her faded voice scream my name.

The sound of a twig snapping pulled me out of my flashback. I didn't realize I was crying until I wiped my face with my palm.

It was at that moment I noticed it was already night time. A sigh escaped my lips as I turned around to head back but the house wasn't in sight. How far did I walk, if not for the moon I would have been in complete darkness.

The sound of another twig snapping and footsteps caught my attention

"Who's there?" I shouted as my eyes searched the vicinity

"Well well if it isn't his little human" a man with brown hair dressed in all black came out of the shadows.

"Who are you?" I asked in freight. It took time before I registered what he said, his little human, is he talking about hunter if so that means he's not human.

"You're like him aren't you?" I asked after he didn't answer my first question.

"Bingo" he said with a smirk before whistling.

"What are you doing?" The fear in my voice screamed as five other men appeared out of nowhere.

"If we can't hurt him physically we might as well take something from him". He nodded his head to the five men as if giving them orders and I knew what that meant.

My legs moved before my brain could process it. I ran with no sense of direction, my arm grazed against a tree causing it to bleed out, I hissed at it but that didn't stop me.

"HUNTER!!" I screamed at the top of my lungs holding my bleeding arm. I screamed again before stopping in my track. My eyes searched for him but was only met with those five men surrounding me.

I was about to scream again but a hand suddenly circled my neck shoving me against a tree with brute force. I whined in pain as the man's grip only tightened. He ripped off my dress leaving me in my undies. He licked his lips about to remove my bra.

"Hunter" I murmured one last time before the man's head was separated from his body spilling blood all over me.

I fell to the ground my hand against my throat catching my breath before looking up to see the man's head in Hunter's hand.

"I've been wondering where you guys were hiding" Hunter said throwing the guy's head away, he looked at me with a worried face then anger when he noticed my ripped clothes.

The other four men went into beast mode but hunter didn't, instead he rolled up his sleeves revealing monstrous veins.

A sigh left his lips before speaking.

"This is going to be messy"
