Common Habits Of Teenagers
Most common habits of teenagers are :-
Binge watching - binge watching is a very common habit of teenagers, they just keep researching their favourite series which causes problems such as :
Bad back posture - as the series could be a long one, we watch TV continuously as web series are made addicting, due to this, sitting on the couch or bed while watching TV makes your back pain, as we sit in a bad posture sometimes which we even don't feel but it shows its effects after a while.
Bad eyesight - watching TV for a long time can damage your eyes, and it is said that eyes are connected to the brain. Once your eyes are damaged, it also slowly damages your brain in someway.
Depression - the people who spend a lot of time with their phone or watch a lot of TV are said to be depressed, as they get lonely and they don't pay attention to people and don't talk too much. People get depressed because they don't have people around them to help them (with their mental health).
Obesity - people who watch more TV have obesity, because they eat and drink while watching TV, and since they spend too much time watching TV, they also spend a lot of time eating. When eating gets over limits it brings you obesity.
Procrastination - teenagers have a habit to procastinate, which often results in smaller grades as you often leave the work undone and try to complete it later, but you never do, because you forget about it. You don't even study thinking you would do it later and at the end, you study in a hurry leaving many important things.
Laziness - laziness results in obesity, depression, eyesight problems, and health problems. Laziness can make your body weak and increase the chances of severe health problems that can shorten your lifespan. You don't connect with much people which, being a teenager, is a must, you even don't go out with friends when they invite you and later on think that you are a loner and that brings anxiety and stress.
Overeating - teenagers eat lot as their bodies undergoes many changes through the age of puberty. Extra food gives you energy which is much needed but in other ways it causes you trouble by high cholesterol which causes heart problems due to arteries, sleeping problems.
Lack of physical exercise - due to many reasons like watching too much TV, using your phone, being lazy, and many more results in the lack of excersise, you often forget that in teenage which is the age of growth you must have a timetable which should include physical excersise for 15 minutes at least. You should never forget the importance of the physical excersise in your routine. It's okay to skip it once or twice a month or more due to some reasons but not including it in your routine can be dangerous and can be a problem not for short run but for long run.
We teenagers have various habits, some good, some bad. But it depends on us. Today, let's discuss some good habits most of the teenagers usually follow. This is just my personal experience and I don't assure you that all the teenagers have these habits 😂��😂.
So let's begin.
Punctual to attend online lectures even though we may wake up late😂.
→ This happens with me everyday and I've even heard my friends saying this numerous times that even though they got up a bit late and were only half awake, they attended the lecture on time. 😂.
Following a routine.
→ I guess we don't have an option when it comes to this because our school, college, coaching classes, tuition, etc etc, actually make us follow a routine 😂.
Adjusting with siblings.
→ Younger or older, we really try our best to adjust. Right guys? I think this is actually a valid point. Even I adjust with my younger brother all the time though we may fight everyday.
Handling friends, social media and more
→ We are always trying to create a balance between our studies, exams, friends, social media accounts, etc etc... and I guess this is a really good habit.
Living life freely
→ Though we may have mood swings, or sometimes we are supposed to be mature or sometimes we just act like kids, being a teenager is one of those times when you learn to live freely.
TOP HABITS SHOULD BE FOLLOWED BY TEEN PEOPLE TO LEAD A HEALTHY LIFE.
Most of you have come through the fact that
'Health is wealth', heard stories about them, some have personally have experienced it.
As legends say it is indeed an important phrase for every human being.
Here I list out some important tips to lead a healthy life that can be practiced in any part of life. Following them from the teenage will guide you through a successful and healthy life.
1. EARLY TO BED AND RISE EARLY IN THE MORNING
This has been a repetitive phrase read in most of our books and hearing from our parents. Why does the phrase hold so much importance? Here is the reason, early in the morning, plants release oxygen in a high quantity which is important for our metabolism, due to lack of sufficient oxygen and proper sleep of 8 hours is efficient for the proper functioning of our human body. Going early to bed will provide you with much time for sleep and reduce mental stress.
2.YOGA
The practice of yoga has been thought to date back to pre-Vedic Indian traditions; possibly in the Indus valley civilization around 3000 BCE. Practicing yoga during the early morning includes many benefits such as improving your breathing, keeps your muscles and bones strong, Increases blood supply to the whole body, and yoga under proper supervision helps people who desire to lose weight. Practicing Yoga along with meditation reduces mental stress, anxiety problems, increases concentration, solves sleeping troubles and researchers have found that they increase your thinking capabilities and aid you in major decision making.
3. Reading books
As being a part of Wattpad, we have no restriction on reading books. Here I will list the importance of reading books
i) Builds imagination
ii) Enhances Vocabulary
iii) Improves concentration
iv) Induces Creativity.
4. Eating healthy foods.
During this fast-paced environment, we are compromising with our food habits and deliberately leading us to toxicity. Eating greens, vegetables and fruits became an essential part to maintain health and expect longevity of life. Consuming greens or vegetables in daily food will help you have a proper blood production and strengthen your bones and muscles. Having fruits at regular intervals enhances your energy and keeps you active and fresh.
5. Planning and execution
Having a pre-planned schedule before any work will aid you to score better results and to improve on your mistakes. It saves your time and avoids procrastination. Gives you enough ideas about your shortcomings and ways to learn to deal with them.
We all make plans but the real picture comes when you fail or find yourself lazy to follow the schedule. This is where people fail to reach their goal.
Here are some tips to avoid such conditions:
*** While making a schedule provide yourself with enough time for each work. So that you can work free of anxiety and the thought of working won't fear you.
*** Take enough breaks between every one hour. Remember to limit the break up to 15 minutes. Switch to any form of writing you're willing to do. Avoid using gadgets which will distract you during those fifteen minutes.
*** Before beginning every schedule, take 15 minutes, find a peaceful place, close your eyes, observe your breathing, teach your mind about the importance behind the work or the schedule, and how much it means to you. By doing so you are planting an idea to your sub conscience, as you begin to work, whenever you start distracting yourself, you have your sub conscience warn you and inform you about the importance.
*** After completing each day's work, summarize your work, rate it and make the feedback of yourself, make your plan for the next day. This will lessen your pressure in the morning.
