Valentines Day Auction

***Imagine the dress red and it's the one in this chapter. Enjoy! Let me know what y'all think!***

Mel was so excited for the February activities at the club that she started talking about it as soon as we made it home from the club that night. Sinful Delights were going to put on a Valentine's Day Auction for all the members at the club. The Gems of the club would be auctioned off to the highest bidder for a date of the winners choosing in the following weekend.

It was the only month the club was open twice for the winners to collect their prize on the actual Valentine's Day.

I understood what the money was for that Sir left me. Mel told me all the Gems had to dress to impress. So I took the money he gave me and went shopping for the first time without Mel. I felt like Julia Roberts from Pretty Woman, awesome, really.

I went to the most expensive shops New York had to offer. If Sir wanted me to look spectacular, then I was going to stop at nothing to give him what he wanted. Finally, Versace gave me what I wanted.

It was gorgeous! A deep red off-the-shoulder trumpet style dress. It had a lace front with a super short thigh silk dress underneath. There was a split in the front of the dress stopping at the end of the silk. It had tea cap hanging sleeves and a small train.

I felt like a different, sexier woman in that dress. I paired it with sky-high black and red stilettos and a small black clutch purse. The price for all three could have paid half of my tuition for a year.

Mel was understandably pissed when I walked in that night with my bags from my shopping trip. I figured she would be, this was the first time I went on my own, but as soon as she saw the dress, she shut up.

More like gasped so hard she started to choke! All was definitely forgiven after that!

Mel made both of us take extra time getting ready that Saturday before we went to the club. She made us both enjoy the fun of helping each other wax everything. Along with so much extra lotion for our skin.

She fixed my hair in waves falling down my right side. With my eye makeup glamoured and overdone, she finished with a night red lipstick to match my dress.

Mel handed me a box with a deep red bow tied around it before we walked out of the apartment. She told me not to open it until we got to the club, then we headed down the stairs to the taxi.

The lobby of the club was already starting to fill by the time we walked through the door at our usual twenty minutes after four. We made our way through to Duke's desk then I opened the box.

It was a deep red velvet mask. It had a lace covering that matched the lace on my dress. The mask also had black accents incorporated into the design. The silk straps that tied it together almost shimmered. The mask was simply to die for. I don't know how Mel did it!

Mel tied the straps keeping the mask firmly in place, then we both went into the main room of the club. Gone were the New Year's decorations from last month in its place was a banquet.

There were couches and chairs all scattered around the floor facing the stage. There were tables along the wall with finger foods and drinks.

There were even generic junior high paper hearts and decorations hanging from the ceiling. Even a banner over the stage saying 'Welcome to Sinful Delights' Love Auction!'

Mel lead me as fast as my tight dress would allow behind the curtain on the stage to the already gathering crowd. She took us to a lady who was barking orders to find where we needed to wait. She sent us to the fourth room down the hall and said someone would let us know from there.

When we got in the door, Keri, a girl I'd met a few times before, came over and explained what would be going on. Since we were the Gems from The Hole, our group would go last.

The order of which each person would be auctioned off was on the board on the far wall. Keri gave me a sympathetic look before she left us to talk to the next person coming in.

Mel and I walked up to the board with a sinking feeling in my stomach. Mel didn't have it so bad, she was fourth on the list to be auctioned. Me on the other hand, I was dead last. With a note on the side, 'New Girl Goes Last.'

I seriously felt like I was going to have a panic attack. With our group being last, there were three others in front of us. With 12 people in each plus the 11 before me in my group, there wasn't going to be anyone left to bid on me.

Almost a vain thought, but it honestly scared the shit out of me!

I didn't speak much to Mel after that. We moved to a small couch in the room and sat for the long wait. I barely paid attention to the growing noise I could hear from the crowd out front, or the bell signaling the opening of the club doors.

Instead of the music coming on, an MC came over the speaker. We sat listening as it started and each person was auctioned off to the highest bidder.

The MC announced a large part of the proceeds raised tonight would be going to charity so the amounts were ridiculous. The first group raised a combined million dollars, while the second doubled it with two. The third group was too much to keep count.

An hour and a half later, the first person was called in our group. My nerves went through the roof. The crowd were still loud out front, almost making it worse. When it came time for Mel's turn, I didn't want to let her go.

I sat there with my eyes closed and sent a silent prayer up to whatever God was listening. This was the craziest thing I'd ever done and no one was going to save my sorry ass from this mess but me, but I had to try! When I finished, I felt a calm sensation settle over my body and a sense of peace.

When the woman who was giving orders earlier told me I was next and showed me where to stand, I was still feeling that calm. As soon as she pushed me past the curtain to the spotlight on center stage, it evaporated like a fog.

I turned my eyes toward the left where a masked man in a suit held a microphone telling the crowd about me. He was motioning with his head for me to face forward and walk, but it took me a moment to understand. I turned like a deer in headlights to face the crowd.

I closed my eyes and blocked everything out. I listened to Sir's words from last time for encouragement and took a deep breath. When I opened my eyes, I gave everyone my best smile then strolled around the stage.

Thinking only of Sir and the show I was putting on for him.

I finished my walk with me back in the center of the stage posing with all my curves on display. I had a coy smile on my face as I looked about the crowd trying to figure out where he was.

The announcer finished my bio and started the opening at $5,000.

A couple in the front row were quick to raise their paddle, accepting the bid. A man with salt and pepper hair raised the bid, then another couple raised his.

The three paddles continued to rise so fast. Before I knew it, the announcer said the bid was at half a million dollars. Before he could say anything else, a new paddle came up in the very back.

  "Two million."

I knew that deep voice anywhere. It was him. I stretched my neck the best I could to spot him, but a group of people blocked my way.

A gasped silence fell over the crowd. That was the most money in a single bid tonight. The announcer didn't waste a second and screamed, "Sold!"

I left the stage in disbelief and went back to the room to wait. When the auction was over, I was to pick up directions from whoever bought me for the next week then I could go home for the night.

Now that I knew who bought me, I didn't have near the fright about this as before. I was just disappointed I didn't get to see his face.

Mel was back in the room when I made it back. We talked until the auction finished and everyone was gone almost an hour later.

Mel was purchased by Mr. Boone and couldn't wait to see what he had as a surprise. When we received our letters at the end of the night, I kept my note sealed until we got home.

As soon as we walked through the door, I gave Mel the excuse of being tired and escaped to my room to read the note. It was the same bold script from before. Strong, like the man.

  'My Sweet,

Next weekend you will know what it's like to really be mine.

Wear the same dress as tonight and meet me at the club at noon.

Leave the mask, you won't need it.

     Till Then, Masters

P.S. You looked like a candy apple tonight. Did you know they are my absolute favorite? I can't wait to have a taste!'
