Kanichiwa mina! Happy Valentines day! *(If you would like to read a romance novel for valentine's day,  I wrote a one- shot novel on Valentines day called," Bitter-Sweet Love"!)* ;)

Guess what? It's time for yet another update! Yay! :) I'm a newbie here and I am a huge fan of manga and anime! ;) I hope you enjoyed my story so far! >~

I made up all my characters in this novel, however, if you find my character similar to another character...rest assure, they're different! ;)

Suki, the snake demon, slowly wrapped her glistening snake body around Sakura as Sakura held her breath. As Suki's mouth opened, green glowing venom dripped onto the dirt ground. Suki's slithering and hissing filled the oak tree. Even the rodents that scurried on the ground didn't move. Sakura dared not to move a muscle for the demon could kill her in an instant.

"What is so good about being th destined one? I can't even save myself in a situation like this! Not to mention, no-one told me what my awesome powers were as the destined one," thought Sakura as she shut her eyes closed.

"Hmmmm...Oh, I see,destined one. You're too scared to do anything! Ha! You're pathetic," hissed Suki with a metallic, yet stringy voice.

"You're so boring! Even that scum Kai was more fun to toy with," exclaimed Suki ad the other half of her body slithered back and forth.

As Sakura began to open her eyes, the snake demon's tail touched her delicate face.  Sakura shivered as Suki's tail touched her cheek. The sensation from the touch felt like a billion electrons being released on her face. Sakura tried to dodge the touches, however, she was still wrapped in Suki's cold, scaly body.

"Amusing! You're trying to dodge my tail...not that it'll work though! You'll just be another meal for my stomach, " said Suki as her tongue licked her mouth.

*At the mountain*

As the snowflakes fell onto pure white ground, the wind howled the mountain's secrets and the owls continued to hooted their song. Tired from walking miles down the snowy mountain, sweat poured down Ayame, Aki, Hiro and Kai's face as they panted.

"Ugh! This is taking forever," complained Aki as he huffed in the cold," Don't you have some sort of magical tele-portation power Kai?"

"Yeah, Yeah! That would be so useful! My manly feet are half frozen already," exclaimed Hiro dramatically while waving his arms here and there.

"First of all, no! And second of all, only ninjas can do that with their jutsu! So, why can you do it Hiro?  You are a ninja, right," snapped Kai as he rolled he black raven eyes.

"Oh, yeah! Why didn't I think of that? That is like the most basic thing to do of all jutsu," said Hiro sarcastically.

"Oi! You guys stop arguing! While you guys were arguing like MONKEYS. I, the most intelligent and powerful ninja ever, summoned a portal to your oak tree," said Ayame as she presented the portal with pride.

"Are you sure it won't malfunction,  like the time you turned me into an idiotic fox, " asked Hiro as he eyed the portal.

  "Well, I don't want to walk either, so I'm taking a heroic, courageous risk! If I die, I shall be known as the ....," Aki tried to say.

However, Ayame didn't like all the chit-chat and she pushed the three into the glowing portal.

Inside the portal was like a mystical illusion. In the portal, there was only empty space filled with colours of the rainbow. The only physical, solid thing that allowed them to walk was one long, creaky, bridge connecting Ayame, Aki, Hiro and Kai to a outer door.

After walking forever, the four finally made it to the exit. As they pushed the iron door open, rays of sunlight filled the portal. The four never knew that they would miss sunlight so much. The rays were bright, comforting and warm.

"See, I told you it would work," shouted Ayame with pride.

"Yeah, sure! I bet if we stayed there any longer your jutsu would've collapsed, Miss. Know It All, " said Hiro.

"Now, now you love birds,  calm down," shouted Aki as he hurried the two towards Kai.

After walking for a couple of minutes, a grand, old oak tree came into view. It was so big that five generations of a family could fit there!

"Holy macro! I can't believe my eyes," exclaimed Ayame with awe.

"Yeah, yeah, I get it, but I better go now. You friend is probably still inside. But beware, Suki, the snake demon lurks inside. She is more powerful than she looks," warned Kai as he disappeared into sakura petals.

* In the tree*

As Sakura's life was on the line,  Suki opened her mouth wider and wider as she approached Sakura. " I'm done for," though Sakura as she shut her eyes closed as tight as possible.

" Hahaha! You're mine," hissed Suki as her vemon dripped faster by the second.

" Oh, gods of the heaven, now would be a really, like really good time to save me somehow, " muttered Sakura.

Then,  suddenly,  Sakura's body began to glow. Time stopped for a moment and Sakura's body was envoloped in a golden blinding light.

"What is this," shouted Suki as she tried to avoid the light.

Slowly, Sakura's chestnut brown hair turned to silver. Her once dark brown eyes turned blood red and even her yukuta changed into a short, pink, laced kimono-like dress. In her hand was a beautifully handcrafted katana that had a Cresent moon symbol on it. Power flowed out from the sword into Sakura.

"I am Sakura! Ruler of the great dragons and wielder of the almighty Kiri katana. I am the reincarnation of the half-demon princess Kayu, " exclaimed Sakura with confidence.

How did Sakura know what to say? How did she know that she was a reincarnation of princess Kayu from the famous myth?

It was like someone had guided Sakura's arms as she swung her magical katana towards Suki.

Slash! The snake demon was slash in the heart and as Sakura landed drom her jump, Suki immediately collapsed.

Astonished by what had happened Sakura just stood there looking at her sword which as now covered in black demonic blood.

" What have I done? I just killed a demon...," stuttered Sakura.

As Ayame, Aki and Hiro ran inside the oak tree they saw Sakura with splatters of black blood on her face and sword.

" Oh my goodness! You've awakened," shouted Aki.

What will Sakura do next? Will she accept the fact that she is the destined one? How will Ayame, Aki and Hiro think of Sakura now? Stay tuned to read the next chapter of " Into the Past "!
