* Third person perspective *

As they walked to the rustic yet grand shrine, the wind rustled making the shrine bells twinkle. Birds of different species gathered on the magnificent willow trees that swayed as they sang their gorgeous soft, melody.

"Ugh! Who's idea was it to go to an old shrine,"exclaimed Ayame as she flicked her hair back.

" I hate to say it.....but it was your idea, Ayame, "whispered Sakura.

" No, no! Me? I would never be bored to the extent where I would do this,"snapped Ayame as she flung her arms in the air.

" Okay, chill,"snickered Aki as he stepped towards the shrine. " I'm going to open the door."

" Sure, whatever you say,"said Kai. " I just hope nothing ridiculous happens."

" Ridiculous? Oh, never mind, " said Aki.

  As Aki creaked the door open, dust from the floor flew up into the air. Although it was bright outside, the inside of the shrine remained midnight black. Not even one ray of light was able enter the dark shrine. It was as if an invisible barrier was put around the old architect. Then, suddenly, bats as black as the black holes in the galaxy flew in the speed of light out the shrine. As the bats swirled up into the afternoon sky, the area turned dark. Flames ignited in thin air as the blazed around Aki, Ayame, Hiro, Sakura and Kai.

"Who goes there,"a loud yet squeaky voice exclaimed.

" I-I-I don't know what's happening,  but I think that we shouldn't have  opened that door,"stuttered Sakura as she shivered.

"Good job, Miss. Know It All! That's so obvious,"shouted Ayame as she unsheathed her sword.

" Aki, I don't think this shrine likes you,"said Hiro.

" No kidding! Now what do we do,"asked Aki. " Ummm, Kai? What are you doing?"

" What? Oh.... those flames are caused by a demon from the shrine, so I was trying to find it."

" Why didn't you say that earlier,"exclaimed Ayame. " Well, it doesn't matter now....."

Suddenly,  a figure zipped across the shrine. " I said, who goes there?"

" Hello there! My friends and I.......,"Sakura began to say.

"Leave!"

" Why, "snapped Ayame with fusteration.

" Because ummmm, "the voice began to say.

As Sakura walked towards the voice, she found a young girl in a kimono with fox ears and a teenage guy who had fox ears as well.

"It was you two who did all that magical stuff,"exclaimed Sakura, "Well....at least I think so."

"So what if it was us? What are you going to do about it,"sneered the guy.

The guy who was probably the girl's brother looked about 18 years old, and no description is needed to describe his looks. He was simply hot. The girl looked about 12 years old. She had dirty blonde hair that was tied up into a pony tail with some string. Although her fair skin was smothered with bits of cinder, she was a ravishing beauty without a doubt.

"I'm not trying to......never mind. Umm, I'm Sakura and  my friends and I would like to tour your shrine,"said Sakura with a sweet smile.

" You're just probably a thief. Go away would ya,"growled the guy.

" But brother, we never get any visitors, "sobbed the girl. "Can't she come in?"

  Then, soon enough, everyone else ran over towards Sakura. "Oi, are you okay,  Sakura..........Ummm,  who's that,"asked Aki.

" Oh, the people of the shrine.....I think,"replied Sakura.

" Are you an idiot, Sakura? You just ran away! What if you were kidnapped or something? I won't be able to get free stuff from the king then! Or even worse, I would have to find another sore of entertainment, "exclaimed Ayame as she dashed over to Sakura.

" At least you're okay,"said Kai with a sigh.

  " Are you guys just going to stand there,"asked the guy.

"Maybe. Why,"asked Ayame. "Oh, and what's your name mister?"

"The name's Hiroshi and this is my sister, Kana,"replied the guy.

" Okay..... Well, Hiroshi, we're trying to find an orb in this city, so we need to go into that shrine of yours,"said Ayame bluntly.

" First of all, the shrine isn't mine. It's Master Kohato's shrine. Secondly, I don't care what you're trying to find,"snapped Hiroshi.

" Fine! It's not like we need to go sight seeing in that old shrine anyways,"sneered Ayame as her anger raged.

" No! Please, we really need to go into the shrine. You see, I'm the destined one,  and I need the orb,"pleaded Sakura.

" Hey, has anyone noticed that were talking to demons? Do I need to spell it out for you? They're DEMONS," yelled Kai as he pulled his sword out.
