The Wedding
I'm sorry I was gone for so long, guys, but I have once again returned! Also, my birthday was on Wednesday, October 10, so that happened.
Alexander's P.O.V.
A picture of Y/n, dressed in a long, flowing wedding dress and decked with beautiful jewelry, walking down the aisle on our wedding flooded my mind. Just the thought of seeing her gorgeous smile and knowing I could wake up to it every day... It's blissful...
But while there is a side of me jovial, the other side is screaming internally. I'm tense, staring at my sweaty and nervous reflection in the mirror set before me. I look quite dashing but... What if I mess up the vows? What if I trip? What if someone claims the wedding shouldn't happen? WHAT IF SHE SAYS NO!?
"She's not gonna say no, Alexander, she wouldn't have agreed to marry you, you goofball," I heard John's annoying voice say from behind me as if he had read my mind!
"Do you have mind-reading powers or something?" I chuckle nervously, "You weirdo..."
He shakes his head and plops down on the chair beside me, "Y/n and you are going to make a great couple... I-I just know it..." I thought he'd be happy but... Now that I study his expression more closely... He seems... Heartbroken?
Then again, he did kiss her first that night... He probably has feelings for her. But I wouldn't blame him, she's absolutely perfect! I'm getting jealous just thinking about how unfairly perfect God made her.
"Hey, my dude," I place my hand on John's shoulder comfortingly, "You have my permission to flirt with her."
"I'm sorry, what?" He asks obliviously
"I know how you feel about Y/n... And I know feelings can't just disappear in a snap of a finger so... You have my permission to flirt with her. But if you get too touchy, I will personally kick your white ass to China. Understood?"
His once shocked expression is replaced by a soft smile, "Yeah... I understand. Thanks, man. And congratulations-"
Just then, Hercules, who had begged to be our flower girl, bursts through the door, "IT'S TIME!"
Lafayette enters the room, his eyes instantly locking with John's. For some unknown reason, John's eyes widen in shock and he quickly avoided the French Baguette's glare, much to his annoyance.
"Come on, Mr. Hamilton, Mrs. Hamilton awaits at the altar!" Hercules nudges my side with his elbow, his eyebrows wiggling teasingly.
Did someone just pour lava over my face or did it suddenly get extremely hot in here? "Shut up," I punch his shoulder playfully.
"Come on, mon ami, let's not keep Mrs. Hamilton waiting any longer!" Lafayette calls as he descends to the church. I nod and stand, following behind John and Hercules.
"Alexander!" Burr calls. I slowly turn to be greeted by a tight hug, "Congratulations, my friend, on finding a beautiful wife."
John's P.O.V.
I steal glances at Alexander's trembling figure. He smiles proudly at Washington, Martha, and all their infant children, but continues to tremble. I understand he's scared... To be honest with you, I am too.
God... I made a terrible mistake... No, we made a terrible mistake... "We" as in Y/n and me. Th-the alcohol... We got drunk... I just... UGH! I SLEPT WITH Y/N WASHINGTON BEFORE THE WEDDING AND I REGRET IT! Well... Not entirely, I don't, it felt nice to have her all to me...
John, you can't think that! She's getting married, that is highly inappropriate! Not to mention you're proposing to a special someone at the wedding.
Yes, I know, you may be thinking, "It's Eliza, isn't it?" And yes, it's is Eliza. She may not be Y/n, but she is still gorgeous and extremely kind and trustworthy. Except I could never bring myself to love her as much as I loved Y/n...
And yes, I got Philip Schuyler's blessing. In fact, he is at this wedding with his wife and the Schuyler sisters. Eliza doesn't know about this, nor do Angelica or Peggy or Mrs. Catherine Schuyler. Y/n and I had made a plan beforehand, I want this proposal to be perfect.
I stand beside Alexander, I am his best man after all. When the door opens, a soft melody echoes through the church and everyone stands to greet the bride.
I spot Alexander bite his lip with anticipation out of the corner of my eyes but I keep my head turned to the direction of where Y/n Hamilton will enter.
Third Person P.O.V.
Y/n's dress hugged her figure just perfectly, her hair crusaded down her back in the form of curls. Her lips were red, as were her flushed cheeks, and her beautiful e/c eyes were something neither John Laurens nor Alexander Hamilton could look away from. All in all, she looked stunning.
She flashed a toothy grin up at her "father" who is on the verge of tears, their arms intertwined. Her "mother" begins sobbing from her seat, her gloved hand placed over her heart.
Her eyes turn to her bridesmaids: Angelica, Eliza, and Peggy, all waiting for her at the altar as she walked down the aisle with Washington.
Y/n's P.O.V.
My eyes wander the place as I try to reassure myself everything will turn out fine. Then my eyes fall on my Alexander, my face instantly beginning to burn. God, he looks amazing... His eyes melt like chocolate when he sees me, his kissable lips slowly curving upwards into a soft smile.
I knew everything would catch up to me eventually and I'd be overwhelmed.
I'm from the future, and I'm soon going to be Y/n Hamilton. My last name switched three times! First, it was Y/n L/n, then Y/n Washington, and soon Y/n Hamilton.
My father and I stop walking. He turns to me and smiles softly, "I'm very proud of you, my daughter." He kisses my forehead and I proceed to stand across from Alexander at the altar.
The priest commanded everyone to sit, they obey. He begins speaking but his words seemed to be blocked, I had gotten lost in Alexander's eyes... Again...
I could just stare in them forever... I never wanted to look away. I noticed he stared back at me with just as much love, if not, more. And my Lord did he look handsome in his suit. We eventually exchanged vows.
"Alexander Hamilton, do you take Y/n Washington as your lawful wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish until death do you part?"
There was a silent pause and I felt like I wanted to crawl into a hole and die-
"I do."
Never mind then.
"And Y/n Washington, do you take Alexander Hamilton as your lawful husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish until death do you part?"
Y/n, think about this!
You're from the future, this could change history itself... But maybe for the worse. I could feel Peggy's eyes glaring at the back of my head, probably wanting to yell at me that I should let my heart decide. And I will...
"I do."
"I now announce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."
We stare into each other's eyes for what felt like an eternity until we finally closed the gap between us. His lips are warm and taste of mint; he had obviously been chewing gum earlier. His hands are wrapped around my waist and mine locked around his neck pulling him down slightly. When we break apart for air, I rested my forehead against his and gather some much-needed oxygen. The crowd erupts into applause and the Schuyler sisters squeal.
I had everything I ever wanted... Right in front of me.
Third Person P.O.V.
At the after party...
The room buzzed with excited chatter and children ran between the tables in a good-natured game of tag. Then the bride and groom entered, applause spread across the room. There was the scraping of chairs as people got up for a standing ovation and the happy couple made their way to the head table, smiling and holding hands. They sat in front of a bouquet of roses and the groom leaned in for a kiss. There were cheers and someone whooped, the bride guessing it was one of her bridesmaids.
After a few moments, Angelica rose from her chair and everyone else sat down. The sound of her teaspoon rapping on the side of her wineglass signaled everyone to silence, except the children who were shushed by their parents.
"A toast to the groom," She smiles in the direction of an overjoyed Alexander Hamilton. Soon after, men repeated her. "To the bride!" Girls repeated her. "From your best friend! Who is always by your side!"
Y/n screams internally, "Holy crap, she's singing satisfied."
"What now?"
"Shh, just listen, Alexander."
"To your Union!"
"TO THE REVOLUTION!" His friends, who are already wasted, boom from the back of the room.
"And the hope that you provide!" Peggy side hugs Angelica who is on the verge of tears of joy, "May you always... Be satisfied!"

"Okay!" Y/n yells, spinning away from the group of females ready to catch her bouquet. "1... 2..." They get ready, "3!" Instead of throwing it, she turns around and approaches Eliza, the whole room going still.
"What did she just do?" Washington points at his daughter.
Philip Schuyler immediately shushes him, "Shh, just watch!"
Eliza stares down at it obliviously, slowly taking it in her hands. Then, Y/n steps out of the way, allowing John to speak his mind.
"J-John?" Eliza looks up into his eyes helplessly.
"Eliza, you know how much I love you... Your smile keeps me up restless at night, I always yearn to hold you in my arms and shower you with love and kisses... So..." He gets down on one knee, everyone gasping. Eliza covers her mouth with her hand, tears of joy streaming down her face. "Will you marry me?" He opens the small ring box he took out of his back pocket.
Angelica and Peggy stare at their sister with anticipation, waiting for Eliza's response.
She nods her head, "Of course..."
The crowd erupts into cheers.
Philip Schuyler wipes the tears out of his eyes, "That was beautiful."
"Indeed it was, Philip. How did Laurens get you to give him your blessings?" Catharine asks curiously.
"I saw the way she looked at him. Who am I to stand in the way of my daughter's happiness?"
"HOLY SHIT, LAURENS, THAT WAS INCREDIBLY UNEXPECTED!" A tipsy Hercules Mulligan swings his arm around a sober John Laurens John simply laughs nervously.
With tears in his eyes, Lafayette hugs John tightly, "That was so beautiful... Oh, my God..."
"Dude, I'm proud of you!" Alexander says, forming a group hug. He spots Burr smiling warmly at them out of the corner of his eyes.
He sighs and pulls Burr into the group hug, much to his annoyance and the amusement of John, Lafayette, and Hercules.
Eventually, John goes to hug Y/n. He stares down at her soft smile longingly, wanting to hug her tightly and shower her with love. Part of him knew she knew those words spoken to Eliza, who is currently celebrating with her family, were directed to her.
She hugs him tightly, "I hope you have a beautiful future with your beautiful wife, Mr. Laurens."
He hugs back, "Likewise, Mrs. Hamilton."
"God..." She whispers, John unable to hear her, "If only you were here..."
"Skye..."
