Y/n's P.O.V.
I had left John, Alexander, Hercules, and Lafayette to engage in some "manly" talk about my husband's infidelity, much to his annoyance. Eliza and Elizabeth have been together all night, along with Angelica, but they weren't talking about anything that interests me, so I left.
Not to mention, I've been getting weird looks from people. Even months after the incident, I still get dirty stares...
Why?
Will history remember me like this?
The wife of... never mind...
I had decided to look for my children only to find AJ, Skye, Anastasia, William, Theodosia, and Georges by the drinks. I elegantly make my way to them, in hopes of an entertaining conversation.
Come to think of it, I haven't seen Thomas, James, or Burr anywhere. I hope they're here, I doubt my children would think it funny their own mother is trying to start a conversation with them, in front of their friends.
That when I see AJ pour himself a glass of wine.
Worry and anger washed over me and I quickly sprinted to him, grabbing the glass from his hand and yelling, "Alexander Hamilton Junior, what do you think you're doing?"
"Getting a drink?" He said obliviously.
OH. NO. HE. DIDN'T.
"Son, you're not legal yet," I take a sip from the red wine he poured for himself.
"Mom, I'm 16, I think you can make an acceptation," AJ reaches for another glass but I block his path.
"No."
"Come on, I'll do anything!"
He wants to drink that badly?
I smirk mischievously, his face turning pale. "I just made the worst mistake of my life..." AJ murmurs.
I just had a stroke of genius!
"You, my son, have to find a date partner in 10 minutes. If you manage to find a lady to dance with, I will allow you to have as many drinks as you please."
"You're on!" He challenges, grinning from ear to ear.
"Ha! I'd like to see you try!" I gently place the glass down and march away, grinning toothily. He'll never find a date.
Trust me, I am his mother, I've seen him flirting.
Sure, girls drool over him, but when he approaches one, all hell breaks loose.
Let's see how this plays out.
You may be thinking, 'why would a mother say that he can drink all he wants if he finds a date?' If AJ manages to find a date, he'll be too busy talking to her, he'll forget all about the drinks.
"I bet you can't get one of the founding fathers other than Dad to dance with you!" He calls playfully.
Oh, he's asking for it!
"Okay, bet!"
Now time to look for a dance partner.
Wait...
Thomas and James are founding fathers...
"It also can't be Uncle Thomas and Uncle James!"
"FUUUUUUU-"
AJ's P.O.V.
This'll be a piece of cake, she'll never find someone to dance with her. Mom has a whole journey ahead. Meanwhile, I'll just ask Skye to dance-
"Fine, than you can't ask Skye to dance!" Mom calls.
"WHATEVER! I don't need Skye!"
"Excuse me?" My sister said.
***
"Skye, I need you!" I beg, "I can't find a date and if Mom finds one before I do, she'll hold it over my head until the day I die! It's already been five minutes!" Skye, Ana, and Theo smirk mischievously.
"Good luck, my friend," Georges chuckles, "I doubt you'll make it out alive." I turn to William for moral support.
He shrugs nervously, "I'll have to agree on that one."
John Payne Madison makes his way to us, James trailing behind him. "Hey, guys, what're we talking 'bout?"
"He needs a date," Ana said, "And he asked us for help."
"Nonsense! I'll help you, AJ!" John punches my shoulder playfully.
"Yeah, he's good with the ladies, trust me," James said truthfully.
"Oh come on, you're better off with us, we're girls, we know how they work!" Theodosia complains.
"Nah, I would go with the guys if I were you. I know what these three are planning," Angie suddenly says from behind William.
***
"So, anyone caught your eye?" John asks.
My eyes wander the ballroom, landing on my sister's friends sending us dirty looks, William and Skye flirting, and Anastasia talking to her younger sister Marie. But a girl with a calm demeanor catches my eyes. Her silky locks blow in the wind of the window she's leaning against and her droopy brown eyes lock with mine from across the room.
I see her blush deeply and quickly avert her eyes somewhere else.
Bingo!
"Who's that?" I point at her.
"Oh, that's my sister," Angie said casually. I look up at her in shock, James gasping hysterically.
"We never knew you had a sister! And a beautiful one at that," He smirks in her direction.
Barf.
"Yeah, she went upstate with our Uncle to finish her studies. This is her first week back, it isn't surprising you hadn't realized until now."
John heaves a sigh, "We don't have all day, we have 3 minutes! Listen, AJ, I understand you're nervous and I've seen how bad you are at flirting so just be yourself."
"What if I scare her away?" I ask.
"Well," John shrugs, "Try again. You only have 3 minutes, my friend, would you like me to be your wingman."
I open my mouth to reply but James cuts me off, "No, he's got this! Right, AJ?"
I roll my eyes, "I hate you."
"Girls are the most loving creatures on this planet, just be yourself, and don't act rude," John smiles warmly. Angie looks taken aback. "They're strong willed and sensitive, treat her like the flower she truly is. Make her feel like there's no other person in the room when you're talking to her. Ask her to dance."
"Woah," James said, dumbfounded. "He's a gentleman!"
I nod pridefully and stride to the girl. But as I walk, I hear Angie say shyly, "Speaking of dances, maybe you and me could... ya know..." I smirk to myself.
I hear John chuckle, "Of course."
***
"Mind if I, um... stand here?" I smile softly. She looks up from the ground and nods.
Just be yourself...
"I'm Alexander Hamilton Junior."
"Frances Laurens. And what do I owe the pleasure of your presence, Mr. Hamilton?"
Think of something quick!
"Oh?" I smirk flirtatiously, "You find my presence pleasurable?" Frances' face turns a dark red, her petite freckles glowing.
Hey, that was a good one!
Do as John said, just act yourself.
"You just seemed lonely, a shame for such a pretty girl."
"Heh... thank you," She gulps nervously, trying to hide it behind her long locks.
Why do I find this cute?
"May I have this dance?" I hold my hand out. Frances looks down at it hesitantly, worries instantly flooding me but I keep an amused expression.
Did I sound too creepy?
Does she not like me?
Was I too straightforward?
"Of course! I-I mean... yeah, I'd love that."
Y/n's P.O.V.
Erm... so... I didn't dance with one of the founding fathers...
I danced with almost all of them...
Their wives didn't seem too pleased though but we eventually made friends. I. MADE. FRIENDS. WITH. ALL. THE. FOUNDING. FATHER'S. WIVES. AND. ACTUALLY. DANCED. WITH. ALMOST. ALL. OF. THEM.
Oh yeah, and I had time to dance with my father, Burr, Thomas, James, Lafayette, Hercules, and Alexander.
As I sway with Benjamin Franklin, I spot Alexander fuming in jealousy out of the corner of my eye. I smirk to myself, the music stopping. We both step back and bow respectfully.
"You're a great dancer, sir," I said.
"I enjoyed that. Hopefully we meet again, Mrs. Hamilton," Mr. Franklin nods.
"Say hi to your wife and children for me, will you?"
"Of course. I'm very sorry about the loss of your son, again."
"Please, don't apologize! We're here to have fun, let's not bring up such horrible memories. I had a great time."
"Good to know you're feeling better."
"Goodbye."
"Goodbye."
I walk over to my jealous husband. Desire and lust burn in his intelligent eyes, "Need I remind you who you belong to?" God, I'm so dirty minded.
Uh-oh, he actually looks kinda hot when he's mad...
I roll my eyes, "Yeah, Yeah, whatever-" I'm interrupted when a pear of soft lips meet mine.
Our lips move in perfect sync, passion radiating off of us.
I hear Lafayette squealing and Hercules whistling, John and Eliza laughing hysterically.
We pull away, an amused smirk coming to his face as he studies my embarrassed expression.
"Me," Alex said plainly.
