Introduction

Pale as an opal, the moon shone down onto the blackened Earth, casting a dim glow onto the shadows, illuminating the two figures below.

One was as pale as the moon itself, with glowing golden eyes that lit up the area like torches, and casual black clothes, with a purple cloak hanging limply on his shoulders.

One was not quite as human; a wolf with midnight black fur that could be barely seen in the moonlight, with jet black eyes.

They were at the boundary line that separated the two territories, and both of them were uncomfortable. The thought of the consequences of crossing that line were so daunting they could barely even fathom them.

“It is done, then?” the vampire man says. His tone was like ice, cold and unforgiving, cutting through the cool night air like a razor.

Yes” the wolf thinks. This vampire man was a mind reader, and thus could read the thoughts of the wolf.

“I should hope so. If the deal is void, then your life, and the life of your pack, will end.” The man straightened up, glaring stiffly at the werewolf as it growled in a threatening way.

You know the consequences of crossing our boundary line. Consider yourself warned, Seto. I am not here to be made a fool of.”

Seto, with his short brown hair, and purple cloak, bristled, glaring at the Alpha leader of the werewolf pack, Xephos, as he departed, padding away from the boundary line.

Something rose within the vampire, and he jumped. He soared through the air faster than a bullet, but the wolf had heard him take off, and he spun round, clamping his jaws on the sorcerer’s head, before ripping it clean off his neck.

The vampire’s body hit the floor, turning to ash before the wolf. Lewis sneered, licking the blood off his teeth. This would not go down well with the vampires.

He could hear, through the pack mind link, the other wolves, laughing and jeering at the easy kill of the vampire prince.

The death of Seto would not go down well. It would most likely start up a war.

Good, Lewis thought, it was about time something good happened.

With that thought, he raised his head and howled at the moon. The war had begun.

Note: Werewolves had a pack mind link so they can read each other's thoughts. Can't remember if I included that in the previous part O_O Sorry Seto :D
