Adrika's POV

"What do you mean? Who was he?" I asked. I was convinced he wasn't a bad guy. Why would I say someone who wasn't to be trusted to look out for my husband. But Leo was the only one I could trust now.

"That my darling was Maddox Sean Coleman. Chief of your security." Leo said.

"Chief of security? Are we in danger?" I asked.

"You two are young, beautiful and successful. It's pretty easy to get enemies when you have it all." He said.

"I thought he was nice." I said looking at Mads at the bar. He was watching everyone with a watchful eyes.

"Of course he is. God! Ree you took it all wrong. He has been with you all your life. Except for Sky, no one in this world can love you like Mads do. He took some Oath of Protection at your birth or something. Some of your royal family thing. I don't understand it. It's like you are everything he has left in this world. And that's what I mean by he is the worst person for you to run into now. He can know you aren't yourself with a snap." Leo said.
  
         I looked at the man. I guess some things never change. Royal families still had that brutal selfish tradition that ruined so many lives. I was familiar with the oath of protection. The protector were not allowed to have a life. They could not marry, have a family, have friends. The bratty royals become their lives. I didn't had one as I remember because my father was strongly against it but maybe with change of world his personality changes. Mads must be in his mid 30s. So like at 10 or 11 when he must have taken the oath. What he must have understand about the life he was choosing for himself? That's why I felt so emotional towards him. I wanted to talk to him.

"Excuse me Leo!" I said.

"Where are you going?" He asked.

"Mads. I need to talk to him." I said. Before trying to walk away. Leo stopped me by my arm.

"Did you not hear anything I just said Adrika? You can't be around him. He can smell changes in you." He said. Suddenly I felt rage inside me.

"I have been in situations worse than this. I have seen enough blood to handle a little cut. Now leave me if you know what's good for you." I said.

         I instantly felt sorry. He was just looking out for me. He left my hand. I decided I would mend things with him latter. I walked towards the bar. I looked for Sky. He was talking to a group of people and didn't notice me. I stopped in front of Mads. He looked at me confused but hold out a hand. I give mine to him so that he could pull me to a high chair.

"I said we will talk tomorrow." He said.

"How about you order me a drink first?" I said.

"A cosmopolitan for the lady." He said to the guy. "Why are you here?"

"It's my party. I can be with who ever I want." I said.

"Adrika!" He said looking around for anyone unusual.

"Ok fine. I don't wanna meet people today. Leo was talking nonstop about that stupid project. I need to escape from him." I said while taking a sip of my drink. "Then I thought what would be the best option than my very old friend."

"We aren't friends. You are my kuwari and I need to protect you." He said.

"Why you did it? Why you choose this life?" I asked.

"Because it is the best decision for me and you are the best thing that happened to me." He said confused.

"How can you say that? It's me for whom you are doomed to this life. A life without choices." I said.

"Even if I am not bound to this Oath.. To you, there isn't much choices for a monster like me. Your father had the courage to take me in. You have the love to tame me. My life beyond you is nothing." He said. How could someone be so devoted to someone? And what did he meant by monster. I observe him carefully. He wasn't looking anything unusual. Except for the eyes. Those had a hypnotic power.

"But a life without loved ones? Family?" I said unconvinced.

"I have one. You and Sky. You two are my family." He said.

"It's not the life you deserve Mads." I said.

"No Adrika. This is the life I want." He said. I was once again getting lost in those blue orbs while I heard a tinkering of glass and Emma's voice

"Everyone please gather around the lovely couple. I think it's time for toast."

       Sky came to my side smiling he hold me by my side. I saw Mads straighten up. Some other people also joined us. Emma was standing middle of the dance floor.

"Sky... Adrika congratulations for completion of 5 years of your lives together. You two seen failure together but stuck in to see success together. I can't say I have seen two people so perfect for each other. But the important thing is I haven't seen two people so happy and fulfilled with each other. I have seen their love, worry and desperation for each other. Their relationship isn't something you normally see. No. It's always seem to me like it has been a bond of several birth. May your love remain the same." She said the last words rising the glass. A loud 'here here' followed. I looked at Sky. And I still see Nakul. He looked down and kissed my forehead.

"Maddy... You can't hide today.. Say something..." Emma said and I looked back to Mads. He was little uncomfortable but took the microphone.

"Umm.. I am Adrika's oldest friend you can say. And her biggest regret. As loving, caring and pure soul she is, she always believe that it is cruel that I had to be bound to her and Sky. Because she doesn't see what this for me. She and Sky always been the family I never had. Two people who can be so kind to something like me deserve all the happiness in the world." He said. We both hugged him.

"That's some emotional words Mads. Where have you been hiding that thing?" Emma said. "Now.. Who else.. Yes of course Mr. Senator." The older man took the mic.

"I remember Sky telling me about his marriage to the Princess of East. I thought he was joking. I mean look at the fella. Why would a gal like her would be ever interested in him." Everyone laughed. "But the day I met Adrika I get to see why. This princess has the power to see people's heart. And I can bet on my button that you wouldn't find a beautiful heart like our Earl here. Congratulations my kids." He said and I mouth thank you.

"Ohh.. My turn." Leo said excitedly. Everyone laughed at his tone.

"Of course Honey! How could I forget you." Emma said.

"Well you cannot. Because I am one of  the few persons who can say he knows Adrika Idivita. People who think they know her are often only familiar with her one look. The confident beautiful Adrika! Some of them know her as soft, kind and loving." He said the last line towards Mads. "But I have seen her in a way you may not know. The insecure one, the frustrated one, the confused one, heart broken one. I have seen her hyperventilating the day Sky purposed. I have seen her 'i am looking ugly' on her wedding day. Basically I have seen her in best and worst. But I have also seen Sky during all these time. It's said that you can't always find love at it's best. I can say I can find it when ever I see these two together. Always stay the same you two. Love you guies." He said rising his glass. I gave him a flying kiss. And Sky yelled

"Love you too brother..."

      I could say although it was changed and I was constantly at my toe, it still a relief being back in my own time. It wasn't my time. But at least I wasn't an outcast.  I was drifted a little when Sky kissed the top of my head to break my thoughts. One of his assistant was talking.

"Working with sir you can see him being cheerful and happy. At a successful meeting, or a trouble shooting. But nothing can Make him smile like a toddler than a message from mam. It doesn't have to be a loving message. Just a reminder of a meeting. Or 'I'm reaching home? What you wanna eat for dinner?' He would be just so excited. They have the most beautiful relationship I have seen. May they remain the same..." He finished. I took the last sip of my drink.

"Tired love?" Sky asked.

"Yah.. Can we go home?" I asked.

"Just some moments more darling.. He is late." He said.

"Who?" I asked. I regretted immediately. What if I should have known?

"Surprise. You would be happy to meet him. After so long of trying I could convinced him to come to this side of the world. He never left the... " Sky was caught off by someone.

"Don't tell the toasting ceremony ended without me. I made such a long trip for this opportunity to express my feelings to such a Pulchritudinous couple."

      A voice. A voice that send chills down my spine. A beautiful familiar voice. A calming soothing voice that makes you peaceful. A voice I could never make mistake recognising. I spend a better amount of my life talking to. Discussing to. I made a sharp turn to the source of the voice. There he was...

"I'm sorry i don't believe we are introduced to you before. There aren't much people who can make Sky beam like a lantern and make Adrika stun like a vegetable. I think the whole party needs introduction of such personality..." Emma said and a loud applaud followed.

"Introduction.. Me... I have too many identities.. Which one should I present?" He said turning to her.

"Fair enough... Let me rephrase my question. What shall we call you?" She asked again.

"Well... Call me anything you want lovely Emerald... Call me diplomat or activist... Call me king of words or beggar of love... Call me prince or philanthropist. Call me Dwarikadhish or just simply...."

"KRISHN"

        I said exactly the moment when Sky was passing me the mic. It was heard over his words. He looked at me. As we lock eyes a smile came to his face. The unmistakable charming smile. I couldn't move a muscle. I was a mess of different emotions. What the actual hell was happening? Then I realized something, I called him Krishn. What if his name wasn't Krishn? What if he was called something else? While I was panicking she started speaking,

"So finally Dwarikadhish Krishn decided to leave his fortress and join us in physical world!" He smiled to her and said looking me in eyes

"Maybe Dwarikadhish Krishn was awaiting for this moment. What would be the better opportunity than my Sister's 5th marriage Anniversary?" He was my brother. He just doesn't look like him. He was him. I was about to smile when he turned to Emma "Most people don't know Emerald. But Indraprastha and Dwarika have family relationships. History witnessed, daughters of Dwarika seemed to fall for young men of Indraprastha. So the princes and princesses of these two kingdoms are either married or brothers and sister." He turned to me

"Happy anniversary my sister... 5th year is an important one. This is where things starts to change. And with you.. I bless to change for best.. Adrika the thing I admire you the most is, you not only have the power to make change but have the courage to face the consequences.......... " I felt myself drift into darkness in with  his words. Last I heard was Sky yelling my name.

         I got up in a room with very worried Sky. We were alone in the room. Back home. Oh damn.. Now what. I tried to sit up.

"Love.. Don't.. You need rest. It's all my fault. I should have seen the signs from morning. We should not have go to the party.. You were sick." He said. Wow he exactly sounded like Nakul.

"Where are everyone? How long I was out?" I asked.

"Two hours darling. Emma and Leo took care of guests after I bring you home. Mads is downstairs. I better inform him. He is very agitated right now." He said.

"Mads lives here." I said to myself. Bhrata Krishn!!! I thought and started to sit up again

"Hy.. Hy.. What are you doing?" He asked.

"I need to talk to bhra... Krishn.. I need to talk to Mr. Krishn." I said. He stopped me.

"What is happening with you Love? You aren't behaving like yourself. You are just constantly uneasy and acting like everyone and everything is new. Like this isn't you.. What's going on?" He asked. Here you are Adrika. The opportunity you were asking for. If he is the love of your life and loves you like everyone says you can tell him the truth and he will accept it. If he is your Nakul then you don't have to lie. Perfect test.

"Honestly.. I don't know.. Well bits and pieces. But it will rise more questions than answers. I know I have to tell you the truth someday. Before that I need to learn the truth myself. Can you trust me on it?" I said.

"When I ever didn't trust you Love? You are the most extraordinary woman I know. And I know you are capable of things I can't even imagine. I accepted you with all your perfection, imperfections and your complexities. I love you with all that. I'm concern for you because I love you. And I wish you could just tell me. But if you think it's not my time to know something. I won't ever question you. Just promise me that you will take care of my wife along with what ever you are doing." He said. I couldn't control it. I hugged him. He was my Nakul. There was no doubt.

"Sky.. I was never been this happy that you are in my life. I love you darling.. So much." I said. He froze from my sudden reaction but then hugged me.

"That was little offensive after five years of marriage. But what the hell.. As long you are happy and not divorcing me. I'm good." He said. And here is the best friend I know. He just a perfect mixture of Sky and Nakul.

"Ok.. Now.. Let's go and meet Krishn." I said and started towards the door but he again stopped me.

"Baby it's past midnight. We can't just barge into the man's hotel room at this hour. Especially a person with power like him. I tell you what darling, tomorrow there is a meeting we are going to attend with him. You can talk to him then." He said. Uff.. My innocent husband.

"Trust me dear. He ain't gonna come to the meeting. He will leave tonight." I said.

"But that's what he is here for Rika. The meeting." He said.

"No he isn't. He is here to see me. Make sure I woke up..." I said. Sky was confused. "Look.. Sky.. I can't make you understand what I mean. You don't know him like I do. Please. He doesn't want me to find him this easy. But I need to talk to him." I said. He looked me in eyes for a second then said.

"Let's go."

        We came down to find Mads sitting on couch. He asked us tons of questions but I shut him up saying I'll answer him on the road. Which I did. When we reached the hotel, I went to the reception in a hurry.

"Hi.. I'm here to meet Krishn. Can you please send a message.." I said.

"Oh.. I'm sorry Mrs. Herbert. Mr. Yadav checked out two hours ago. But he did gave this for you." She said giving me an envelope.

"For me?" I asked to her and looked up to my husband. He gave me a confused face.

"Yes. In fact he wrote down the letter right here in front of me while he waited for his cab to airport." She said. That sounds fishy.

"Why would he call a cab.. Man has a fricking privet chopper for God's sake. " Mads said.

"He wants me to go after him to airport." I said. What game are you playing brother?

"Let's roll then. Mads you drive now." Sky said throwing the key.

           In the car which Mads was driving like a crazy person to be honest, I thought about opening the letter. I rip off the envelope. The paper inside it was quite light considering there was so much to explain. I opened it. And as expected.

"What is it? What he wrote?" Sky asked.

"Happy anniversary to my favourite couple in the world. Love Krishn." I read out loud.

"What... Is he nuts or something?" Mads asked from the front.

"Actually he is a genius. He knew I would come after him. So he deliberately wrote this in the lobby, definitely while chatting with the Frontlady. Where he amazingly told her about the cab. So that we could know where he is." I said, no one knows my brother better than me.

"That brings us to the square one. How did he knows? And why do you need him?" Mads asked again.

"Patience Mads.. I'll tell all of you when time is right." I said.

"Question.. Does Leo knows about this?" Sky asked. I looked down and guiltily nodded. "That little turd. Always knows secrets before me. It's like an invisible bond or something you two have. You never keep anything from him." He said.

"Who knows..." I said looking out.

           We reached at the airport and I ran inside. I was determined to talk to him either hook or by crook. I spotted him going towards a gate and yelled,

"Stop." He did and turned towards me. He gave me a smile. I walked to him. He was smiling while looking at me like it was the first time he was seeing me. I had so many questions that I got confused what to ask. I didn't even know if he was my brother. Well he seem like it.

"I have at least thousands of questions." I said.

"Mrs. Herbert... Unfortunately we won't have much time for all of them." He said. Making me even more confused. But gave me what to ask.

"Ok. Then I will ask one. Are you my brother?" I asked. He smiled and let go of the bag. He came close.

"Come and find me when you are ready to ask questions... Adrike." He said and place a hand on my womb. I froze. I looked up to him. He gave me a suggestive smile. Sky and Mads reached us. He looked at them and gave a nod to acknowledge their presence. Then he kissed my forehead and said

"It's good to see you meri behna."

        I couldn't move but I was sure of tears rolling down my cheek. He wiped them with his thumb. Took out his overcoat to place around me. Then he picked up the bag and went towards the gate. I stood there walking away. Suddenly I felt like I was all alone in this world. Then I felt two men standing beside me.

"Did you asked what you wanted to?" Sky asked.

"I don't know. But some answers were found." I said.

"Let's go home, both of you need rest. Tomorrow I'm canceling all your plans. Stay home or something." Mads said.

"Considering the major plan is going down.. Sure Maddy." Sky said looking at bhrata Krishn.

           We reached home. I was completely in haze. I wasn't seeing any sign of being pregnant but then what was that he hinted. I need to know everything. Everything that was related to me and this situation. One thing was clear that I wasn't here because it's my time. I had a purpose here. Sky didn't bother me after that. Maybe being in my thoughts was normal for me that he made peace with it. I was thinking and turning everything in my mind over and over again. But I got nothing more than I had past few hours ago. I got up and went to the bathroom to call Leo.

"Adrika.. Hi.. Are you alright.. " Leo's sleepy voice asked.

"Is Emma with you?" I asked.

"Yah. She is sleeping." He said.

"Ok. You may wake her up. So go out." I said.

"Got it. Hang on a sec." He said. I waited for him to get out. "Yah. Tell me."

"Don't frick out." I said.

"You are fricking me out." He said.

"I need all the potion, tests and medicines to detect an early pregnancy." I said.

"What? You are pregnant?" He yelled.

"Shhh.. No.. I mean I don't know. There is no sign. I just have this feelings." I lied.

"Ri are you sure it's not for what happened last year?" He asked.

"Leo how can I be paranoid for something I don't remember?" I said.

"Right. Sorry. Then tell me why you have such feeling all of a sudden?" He asked. I feel like I could not really keep it from him.

"It's Krishn.. I.. I know him. Too closely. He is a big part of the mystery of my life Leo." I said.

"What are you talking about? He is kind of a huge deal, but Ri, trust me you two never met before today. If you did I would have known. At some point you would have told me." He said. You have no idea Leo.

"I can't describe all these over phone Leo. We need to meet." I said.

"Sure. Tomorrow we will meet at lunch." He said.

"My place. We are taking a day off. And Leo.. I need answers of what happened last year." I said.

"Sure. Now Ri.. Please get some sleep. We will figure out this. Ok? Trust me." He said.

"Good night  Lee." I said.

"Good night Ri." He said.
