            Being back at her childhood home was overwhelming for Adrika for sure but she was happy in a long while. She wasn't home for years while she was at States. Then the mahabharat happened. Then she was here which wasn't for long but it sure seemed like it. All the information she was getting was scaring her. It was like looking at the raw truth of the universe. In front of this the life of a surgeon sounds so mundane. Yet sometimes she yearned for it.

       Maddie was another thing happening right now. She wants to spend a lot of time with him just to ponder over the life they both had, but it seemed like the revelation of him tipped over a domino and things started to happen at an extra speed. They didn't had a while to catch up. He was around but not alone.

         Sky. Finally she could able to tell him about everything and the guilt of hurting him on purpose was somewhat over. He understood. And forgave. She still thought that he sees his wife in her but she was sure around Mads, he wouldn't act upon his feelings. The least she wanted right now was to caught between a love triangle.

        Bhrata Krishn was there. That was a huge relief for her. At least her brother would be able to guide her what to do and most importantly what not to do. He seemed bit odd since he got with them. But she would have to talk to him and everything will be alright.

        Aadi on the other hand, she waa worried about. The path she was on was very difficult and dangerous. She didn't want her son on that. But more importantly she wanted to find a way to send him to his original time as soon as possible.

      About the others, she is just greatful that they were with us. Sam and Dean were the most caring and selfless people that restore your faith in humanity. They both were also experienced, resourceful and crafty. Leo and Emma were her people. She felt like she just with her friends around them. But they were not exactly Her friends. As both of them never made her feel that, she was just blessed to have such friends.

"Kuwarisa! Your clothes are ready." A maid said.

"Thank you.. Lay it on bed. I don't need help in getting ready.. " Adrika said from her bathtub.

"I'll be outside if you need me.."

        She got ready and joined everyone at the hallway. They were going to the library to search for anyway. It was of course Sam's idea but everyone else wanted to help him. Krishn wasn't there with them. It didn't shock Adrika. She never expected her brother to consult to a library. But Dean pointed out.

"Where's Krishn? Don't he has a super power to scan through books faster?"

"He said he has some work to do. Anyway he knows whatever we are going to find. He just can't say it. " Mads said leading the way.

"Right.... Find your own way and all that crap." Dean scoffed.

        Everyone else silently agreed with him. They were at a intense time. And evey little information helps. In this critical moment keeping information to themselves makes little to no sense. But he was Krishn of course. He must have some endgame in his head for withholding this information. We entered the south hall. It always mesmerized me. It's beautiful and magical. The hall has two gynormous rooms. One is the grand library and the one facing it is the astronomy room. I could feel the aww in my companion. I could hear some profanities as well. We were standing in front of the library.

"Brace yourself!" Mads said before he pushed the door.

"Holy mother... " Leo stopped himself.
"Son of a bitch... What is this?" Dean asked.

"Yup.. The largest physical library in the world." Mads said. "That's the official knowledge about this of course."

"What's the unofficial one?" Sam asked.

"It is the archives of written words. Past, present and future. This room has every book that is ever written in this world, in any language. In any point of time." Mads said taking them into the library.

"Do you have the Voynich manuscript?" Sam asked. "Did anyone figured it out yet?"

"Sam!.. " Dean said in a tone of annoyance.

"What.." Sam defended. "It's the greatest mystery of book world."

"We have it." Mads answered. "But I don't know if anyone decipher it or not."

"I think the Voynich Manuscript is just doodles. Someone just made a lengthy written prank." Adrika said.

"What are you talking about?" Aadi asked.

"I don't have any clue either." Leo said.

"Voynich Manuscript is a book written in a language that no one has recognised yet. There are no such language in any records. There are also pictures of very strange looking flowers, plants. In the first look it will look like ancient botanical study book. But the pictures doesn't match any plant species either. Scholars are trying for ages to decode the book." Sam said.

"I dabbled my fare share into it too. Nothing. The texts didn't follow any pattern to be a language. The main reason I thought it is not a real book. It's just an elaborated joke. Meant to confuse the mankind." Adrika explained.

"Fascinating." Aadi said "I would like to see it."

"You will have plenty of time for Voynich Manuscript later kid. Right now we have a bigger fish to fry." Dean said before turning to Mads, "So Maddie.. Where to start?"

"We are here." Maddie indicated a huge dimly lighted section. "Pick your rows."

         They started reading. Books piled up. Shelves getting thinner and thinner. Everyone stopped climbing on the stairs to get the books and starting to either ordering Leo to summon them or Aadi to do it. It was the point of time when the boy stopped climbing down the ladders, Sam yelled

"Son of a bitch!"

"Did you get something?" Adrika asked walking towards the place Sam was sitting.

"Yah.." Sam answered briefly looking up to her before going to the book "No.. Maybe... Here it's a book written by a 11th century witch... My translator is only picking up few words. I think it's something..! Here Leo take a look." He passed the book.

"It's old Mayan!" Leo exclaimed. "The translator you are using it's for Theban! That's why some of the words are different.. Like.. Here... This word is spirit... Not soul. This one here is dimension, not world. But it can be something. I'm no expert though. Mrs. Chouhan needs to see this."

"What does it means?" Aadi asked.

"I think this witch is talking about some interdimentional channel thing. As if we can take information from infernal without going in. I'm not sure though." Leo said not looking up.

"Aadi go call Grandma and Grandpa." Adrika ordered him.

"Ok Mumma.."

           Everyone were standing behind Leo's chair as he was decoding the ancient script best to his knowledge, when Adrika's parents came in.

"What did you find?" Asked Nivedita.

"Mrs. Chouhan Sam found this old script.." Leo said showing the book to her. "It's in old Mayan..."

"Hmm... Ranasa! Take a look.." She passed the book without looking. "He is the language expert."

"It's indeed is old Mayan! Good sight Leonard! Looks like one of Conel's.. Brilliant that one was. A bit loony for my liking but brilliant indeed. And yes it is about a channel.. But the channel is a powerful witch or wizard." Suryavir said.

"What do you mean Dad?" Adrika asked.

"The ritual is about conjuring a spirit from infernal into your body to answer questions." Suryavir said to his daughter. "So you need to know a witch or Wizard who is in infernal right now, and a powerful witch or wizard to use their body. The later is easy one. Me or Leonard can do that.... Not you Nivedita. You are already too weak. But the tricky part is knowing the spirit to conjure."

"Is there anyway?" Leo asked.

"I think there is. I saw something about the crimes for witches and wizards that get their ass land in infernal as punishment." Dean said searching some books around him. "There.. In this book."

"My God Adri they are great at this. No wonder they have been so successful in a supernatural world." Suryavir said.

"Told you. They are the Winchesters. Give them materials and time. They will find a way to solve anything." Adrika said proudly.

"You can give it to me Dean." Suryavir took the book from Dean. "We will meet here tomorrow night. For the rituals. We now need time to assemble the necessities for tomorrow. You guys can rest. Tomorrow will be a long night." Everyone turned to leave. Then he said,

"Leonard if you wanna help, you can come back Son. Ask the maids to take you to the astronomy hall."

"Sure sir... Thank you. Not everyday you would get a chance to work along with legends." Leo was excited like a kid.

"Adri.. Peel these rags dear and wear something good.. You too Maddie.. Look at your face. Don't you have a blade or something to shave those manes of yours. You look like a cave man." Nivedita said finally as they have done with the obviously urgent work.

"Ranima!. ." Mads protested.

"Shave those." She said in a no nonsense voice. "I wanna see my son young again. Kyu Kesarja?"

Nivedita calls Kesar jija)

"It does make you look older beta.." Kesar said.

"Fine.." Mads said

"I have never seen you clean shaven either.. " Adrika whispered as they were returning.

"Then you will be surprised!" Mads whispered back.

Adrika's pov

        We all went back to our rooms. After some rest I took a shower and got ready. As my mother ordered, I choose a beautiful cream and red Bomkai saree. I choose saree because the options were heavy lehngas. It was serene to see myself in a saree. I never wear those. Even if I wear sometimes ethnic it always a big occasion and I always ended up in lehngas. Saree however was my preferred outfit for more casual thing like this.

        I waited in my room for some time but no one came, so I called the maid waiting outside.

"Do you know where is Mads?" I asked her.

"I saw him going into his room across the hall. She said politely. " It was 30 minutes ago."
         
       I stood up to walk to his room. I remembered about my mom asking him to shave his facial hair. A smile came to my face. I wanted to see him. I skipped to his room. The door was little unlatched so I walk directly into his room. Big mistake.

"Hi mad... " My words lost at the breathtaking sight of him.

        He was standing in the middle of the room. In his trousers. Holding a light blue shirt. His naked upper body was wet. Obviously just out of the shower. I could see water droplets running down from his hair to his toned chest. Suddenly I felt my throat dried up. I tore my eyes up from his six packed chest to look at his face. His eyes were smiling. But it wasn't the kind smile I used to. It was mischievous. Flirty. I froze at my place. I have seen him shirtless numerous time. But this was different. I never felt like this. He threw the shirt he was holding on the bed instead of wearing it. Then he started walking towards me. This broke me from the trance.

"I should let you be... To... To um... Get.. Get ready."

       I said as quickly as possible and turned to leave. I suddenly felt a jerk in my right hand and in the next second I was in his arms. I felt his strong arms around my waist. When I looked up at him. His eyes were still smiling but this time there was something else in them. He bend his head a slight towards the side as if trying to look at my face clearly. This innocent act was enough to make me whimper inside.

"You were here for something.." His voice was low and sexy.

"I.. Um.. Um.. " I tried to remember how to talk.

"Yes?" He prompt before making us walk towards something. When the wall hit my back I answered,

"I wanted to see you first."

"Did you like what you saw Princess?" He asked while tracing his finger tips of his left hand on the side of my face, neck and arm. I tried to breath normally during this obvious distraction. Suddenly his right hand gripped my waist and pushed me towards the wall even more. I gasped and said,

"I did.." I was looking at his chest.

"Then why are you looking down.. Look at me.. Are you blushing.. I never able to make your face go red Adrika.. Let me see it please.." His voice was now barely a whisper. But I heard it clearly as he said it in my ears, his warm lips brushing on my ear with each word. I looked into his hypnotic blue eyes.

"How do I look Adrika... " He gasped. I was in no condition to speak. But he was forcing me.

"Beautiful... " I said with a little whimper as his fingers tracing circles on the bare skin on my waist.

"And...?" He asked while taking one of my finger into his mouth. I sucked in a breath. He slightly suck on it as a prompt for me to answer him..

"Tempting.. "
"Umm... " He moaned. I was never been this flustered.

"Soft.. " I said closing my eyes and enjoying his touches. I felt his fingers pushing my hair from my neck... Sliding the saree to expose some more skin.. I felt his hot breath on my skin..

"You need to feel the softness.. Don't you Adrika?" I nodded my head. I felt his skin on mine. I my grip on his shoulders tighten. "Use your words woman! Tell me.. "

"I need to feel.. " I stopped as soon as I felt his feather light kisses on my neck. I suppressed a moan. "Don't hold back love. Let me hear you.. You don't know what it's doing for me." He said against my throat.

"Kiss me.. " I breathed out and at the exact moment he found my jugular vain. He sucked on it. "Please... "

         He moved back to look at me. I groaned at the sudden loss of contact. I could not look up. I knew the look. I was too scared to face it. He moved my face upward. With my eyes closed I could feel his gaze on my lips.

"Look at me.. "

     His tone was authoritative. The kind that makes you weak in knees. But his breathing was ragged and irregular. Which means he was also feeling everything that he was doing to me. I looked into his eyes. Hunger.. There wasn't anything else. The same emotion that filled me. I looked at his lips. I never wanted anything more than those lips on mine at that moment in my entire life. I could feel him moving close. His hands were slowly moving upwards from my lower waist. He wasn't gentle.. His hands were rough and demanding. I felt his breath on my lips, just centimeters away, I was about to move ahead to close the gap....

""Oups... Sorry.. Go back to... Whatever..."

        In the heat of the moment we didn't hear Aadi coming in. I was cursing the moment I left the door open. We both jumped apart. Mads wasn't too far he was leaning slightly with his one hand on the wall behind my head. He punched it lightly in frustration. I was leaning on the wall trying to catch my breath when I yelled,

"Aadi.. What was it?" He was out of the door. We saw him coming in slightly,

"Uncle Dean wanted to know you wanna join everyone on the lawn up front." He said not looking at us.

"Tell him we are coming." I said holding the bridge of my nose.

"Ok Mumma.." He was about to run out,

"And Aadi.." Mads said not even moving a little. "Knock before you enter anywhere.. Please.."

"I'm sorry commander.. Extremely sorry." I could see visible redness on my son's face. It was comical.

"Go baby.. We will be down soon.." He just ran out.

          I looked up to him and we both laughed. Even then his eyes were following my every move,

"Seems like we can't catch a break even here." He said. I laughed a little then said,

"We should go... "

"Do we?.. Can't we just stay here. Have a cuppa. Catch up on old times?" Mads said as he placed a lingering kiss on my both palms. I felt weak in knees again.

"Don't I wanna do that too..? But I cannot let them feel abandoned.. It's our home.. Sky's been here. But it's not his house. And Bhrata Krishn... Well who knows if he is with them or not. They need us. We will have a lot of time together after." I tried to reason with him,

"Are you sure?"

"Why would not we?"

"Don't know Adrika.. Seems like everything here is designed to keep you away from me. I let you go once in my arrogance. Hasn't I suffered enough for that.. You are mine now right?" The desperation in his voice was just the reflection of his love.

"I am yours Dristadyumn... No one is taking me away from you. I promise."

         I put my fallen saree over my shoulders and walked towards the door. He hasn't left me yet. When we reached the door he hold my waist again to stop me. But this time I pushed him softly to release myself. I ran away not looking back but collide with someone.

"Woh... Easy girl" Emma said. "What are you running away from?"

"Um.. Nothing" She looked back towards Mads's room. I looked back to see him standing leaning on the door frame.

"Hmmmmm... Aadi didn't knock, did he?" I shook my head no. "Damn girlfriend.. You need a cold towel. You are red as a tomato."

"Let's just go.. "
  
       It took me some time to clear my thoughts and calm my racing heart. It was official that I could never look at Mads like before. When we reached the lawn Bhrata Krishn had started a game of Pitthu with the boys and some girls from the palace. Emma and I sat at the bench. Dean seemed like enjoying himself a lot. He motioned for me to join them but I didn't had the mood for game. Mads came and sat with us. Again Dean yelled for him.

"I think I'll sit here for some time Dean." Mads yelled back.

"Oh.. Come on old man!" Dean yelled.

"Old man huh?" Mads said in a threatening voice.

"Uuuuuu.... Mads gonna go Alpha on them now... Fun. Not for you though Ree. You can read your book if you can't see it." Emma said. Mads smiled before saying,

"Don't Emma! Why the man show, if the woman can't see?" I wanted to punch him then and there. "I want her to see." That sounded like an order, I nodded. "Ok Dean.. Let's see if you can handle the old man!" He yelled the last part pulling on his shoe.

          Fun and games. We hadn't spend an afternoon like this in ages. Running and laughing. Teasing and taunting. Happy bruises. Playful hits. Stolen glances. This was life was supposed to all about.

          But far away from all those, on the opposite end of the castle, my parents were preparing for a dangerous ordeal. They left us a day to ourselves because maybe it was our last before the war begins.

"We need to tell Adri about the news."
"Not today.."
"But Nivedita, Juro's spies are already in the east hemisphere. They are moving fast."
"Let my baby had this day to herself. Let both her and Maddie have the love they so longed for. Let them rest for today. Because we both know what's the future hold for them."

I know it's crazy.. But hy I needed back. And I'm officially back.
