End of an Era
Adrika's POV
The realisation hit me like a turn of bricks when I plunged that dagger into Juro's heart. It was finally over. The story that started years ago.. centuries ago in Philadelphia, on Janmashtami, was finnally came to an end. I knew I wasn't dead yet. Nor I'll go back to my universe, ever. I did my duty in Dwaper. And the consequences of that deed was everything that happened here. And now I had a moment to rest. I didn't wanted to think about what I would do while resting but I knew I was done with fighting. When I passed out I thought my conscious may never get woken up. But. It did. I opened my eyes to see all my loved ones watching me anxiously. Sky was sitting down next to me. I sat up but before I could say anything he cupped my face lovingly and immediately I pushed his hand away.
"What are you doing?" I said. I could still feel my head throbbing. They all gave out a collective sigh of relief.
"Yup. Still yours." Sky said to Mads and got up from his place. Mads took his place and I flung myself to him. I somehow feared I may never see him again.
"I thought I will never see you." He whispered into my hair.
"We want Adrika back. But not like this. Thank God you are still here." Emma said.
"But we have to find a way. I can't just live like this." I said looking around to see everyone. My mom sat on the other side.
"We already got a way. What do you think we had been doing after you left? Once you all are healed a little we will go home. There your dad and I will perform the ritual."
"Excellent. Where are we BTW?" I asked.
"Pack house. The alpha of Wolfpack have been sheltering us because you were unconscious." Sky said. "We should go now that we don't have much to do here. People are waiting in city of seasons."
Everyone silently agreed with him. We reached the city of seasons that afternoon. This time there seemed to be more people there to Welcome us. As if they were now properly welcoming us. I thought maybe because that was a war situation in hand. After all the ceremony a centaur came forward who was last time introduced us as the one who runs the manor for the royal family.
"Welcome your Majesty! Welcome to Island." The centaur said bowing deeply.
"Thank you! But you already welcomed us once!" I smiled.
"That time you were some warriors that were on war and came to ask for assistant. This is the time I finally welcome the heir of our world." He explained.
"But I'm not the queen. Not this time. This world." I didn't understand that.
"Deepest apologies my Grace! You misunderstood me." A slight chuckle could be sensed in his tone.
"He wasn't talking about you Behna!" My brother confirmed.
When the centaur started walking towards them. They parted ways and he stopped in front of Leo.
"What.. " he muttered
"Welcome home, prince Island!"
"No.. No.. What's happening..?" Leo's words represent all of us.
"It's true Leo. You belong here. You were the key. Not Adrika's child." My brother clarified.
"How.. I thought Ashwatthama.." it was Sam who protested.
"He calculated well. But he missed something. An important detail."
"What detail?" Leo was impatient.
"Behna.. Did you get that?" He smirked at me.
"You didn't gave the curse because of me. It was Vriti. She was the reason. So my child was never the solution. It's Vriti's descendant." I finally pieced together.
"I am?" Leo asked.
"Yes Leo. You aren't Leonard but Prince Leorad. The only living descendant of Vritika. Prince of Island."
"That's a lot to take in. But how can it be..." Leo's tone was filled with thousands question.
"A simple test can prove that.. Tell me Leorad, what do you remember before you join Texora academy and met Adrika?" Bhrata Krishn smiled.
"Well I was in... " His face contracted. As if he was trying so hard to remember.
"Think Leo. Who were you? Where did you live? Who were your parents? No memories right?"
"What you did with me?" Leo asked furrying his brows.
"When I get to know about Ashwatthama, I needed to hide you. Although he didn't know about the existence of this place or you. He wasn't even looking for you. But still I didn't wanted to leave you on your own. He was a smart man. Maybe he would realise."
"So you hid him in the plane sight." Mads said folding his arms.
"Yes. I placed him right next to Adrika. So all Juro's attention would be on her. I even made him into a protector of Adrika in everyone's eyes. So that means he was expendable in Juro's eyes." Bhrata Krishn explained.
"That's smart. Really. Evil. But smart." Mom said shaking her head.
"Evil? You think I made him vulnerable? Protection was always with him. As Adrika. Mads. You lot. And a Shadow warrior." He said the last part with mischief.
"Wait what?" Dean asked.
"Emerald! I think it's time." He gave her a nod. And infront of our eyes Emma's whole attitude changed. Suddenly I could see a shadow warrior.
"Emms... " I wispered. She was one of them. Always around us. One of my own force. She kneeled infront of Leo in their signature warrior bow.
"I served my purpose, my Prince." Leo's face was unreadable.
"First time in history, a shadow warrior was completing her mission without hiding her face. But using it." Bhrata Krishn smiled at the girl.
"I was just your mission." Hurt was evident in Leo's voice. Emma looked distressed. But she wasn't dismissed by anyone yet so she didn't said anything. We were shocked how in a flash she became someone else.
"Don't misunderstand Leo." Bhrat Krishn said holding Leo's shoulder. "You were more than a mission. Emerald was also the first to fall in love during a mission. But we should let you two handle that in private. You can get up now Emerald." She stood up. Looked at me and gave a bow. I nodded.
"I know it will take some time. And you may not ever about to see past this. But I want you to know that I'm honoured that I see you. More than that I am blessed that I got to experience friendships like this. You created us Adrika. You know how lonely a Shadow's life is. But I had a life where I had friends like all of you."
I hugged her. Shadow or not she was my first. My best friend. After Subhadra, my only female companion that I fully trusted. We let Emma and Leo have some time with each other. They needed it. They were about to get married and now Leo get to know his bride to be isn't really who he thought she was. I spent my day wandering around. Meeting people. Visiting places. Illuminati lane, place of worship, the memorials of my friends. I saw each and every place that had significance to me. Although I made that city so each and every place was so special to me. I didn't spend much time in manor in the fear of not being able to control my curiosity and would dig up information about my children's life. This was the exact reason my mom took Aadi with her to indraprastha. But I did spend some time in Subhadra and ullopi's manor. I was shocked how miticulously their memories were preserved. I found a diary of Subhadra where she wrote poems. I cried my heart out reading those. My innocent sister. Such hard life she lead. I was relieved that she was happy towards the end.
"What are you reading?" I heard Mads's voice.
"Some of Subhadra's writtings." I replied wipping my tears and he sat down with me.
"Oh.. what she wrote?"
"Poetries about things happening with her. Turns out she didn't stay with much Parth after the war." He bent down to see what was written. I chuckled. "Your sister must have been happy. She got what she wanted."
He laughed out on my joke. "I know it had become a running joke between you, Droupadi and Subhadra. How not wanting anyone to stay with her, she became inseparable to you two sisters. But the joke has run its course." We both laughed.
"You know I am proud of how you managed to maintain relationships with all the wives of Pandavas." He added.
"They were my sisters in relation. As Droupadi lived in Indraprastha I didn't had a lot of communication with Panchal. But still Island sent annual gifts to you as well. But the other sisters lived in their kingdoms so obviously my efforts towards them were more. We send gifts frequently. I wrote to them. Even during Vanvas period. " I smiled. "Looks like after me, they all have been visiting Island. Devika jiji seemed to stayed for a period of time. Subhadra has written some footnotes in some poetries. They have talked about some celebretion."
"Keep it. I am sure they won't mind." He suggested looking at my enthusiasm.
"No. This was my Subhadra's home. And this is it's rightful place. When I'm uncertain.." I stopped myself.
"That what will happen once the rituals are performed." He finished my sentence.
"Let's stay here for some days Maddy. Aadi and Advit are happy in their Nani ka Ghar. Leo and Emma need time here as well. The boys are anyways having a good time here. And frankly I also want some time to myself in my home."
"Sure. I'm not leaving you. And it will be like we are reminiscing about the time I spend in Island last time." I placed my head on his shoulder.
"Arguably the best time I had with my boys. Except for my husband wasn't there. If he was it would have been the best time I had in that Yug." He laughed a little.
Third person POV
They did spend a couple of days in Island. Adrika visted all the important places and took her time to say goodbye to each and every one of the higher ups of Island. Leo and Emma also decided to go with her. Although Leo was the prince of Island, they had a whole life back in western part that needed to be sort. Leo was quite rattled by everything at first. But after countless sessions with Mads and Adrika explaining he was now slightly ok with things. Krishn said once he fully accepted his identity his memories will return as well. The day they left Island was painful because this time Adrika knew she was seeing this place for the last time.
And her gloom lasted for days until it was the full moon her mother was waiting for. Nivedita was preparing for the rituals for days now. It was going to be the most difficult magic she ever performed.
"I think we are ready." She said looking at her husband.
"Ranima! Try to preserve both of them." Mads reminded her.
"Ofcourse Maddy! And know Adri have her earth power intact I'm sure we will be able to have both of them in physical plain." Nivedita said Turing to Adrika who was sitting, holding her baby. "Come honey."
She looked at the baby who giggled at her which made Adrika laugh though her tears. She then looked at Sky. Sky understood what she wanted and went to her. She gave a kiss on the baby's forehead.
"I don't know what future you have written from the fate my baby. But your past is glorious. Your ancestors are majestic and your bloodline is serene. You are my Aarya Nakul's part. You are the brother of the greatest youngsters that ever lived in history. My son for them you must live a life that would be known as the one of the greatest time of this period. I love you. You will always remain my son whether I raise you or not. You will bond with Sky and Adrika like you share the bond with me. Just like the ambilical cord is cut for survival of the infant, our bond must be sheavered for you to bond with them.."
"Adrika... Don't... You will survive this." Her father tried to stop this.
"It doesn't matter Dad. Even if I do survive I still want Sky and Adrika to be the one who raise him. Here. With your guidance. If possible Leo, allow them to come to Island time to time. The core energy of Island will help him stabilized. I have done it with Aadi and Vriti." Leo looked up. His deminor was changed after the revelation.
"Island is always at your service your Grace!" He replied. Adrika noded and carefully placed the baby in Sky's arm.
"Take a great care of my Son, Sky."
"I promise." He replied. She then looked at everyone.
"If I don't come back ... This is goodbye. But for all the eternity to know, I am in debt. Of every single one of you."
She stood up. Looked at every emotional face and walked to her mother. They both were inside a circle made out of all the elements of nature. Dirt representing earth, water in glasses, fire, dry leaves for wind and a layer of moonstone powder which is considered as the soul in witchcraft. Once they both were inside Nivedita get in her terrifying real self making others jump. She started the incantations. She lifted a staff adorned with crystals that glimmered faintly in the moonlight and struck the ground lightly. The sound reverberated through the grove like the low rumble of distant thunder.
“Elements of the eternal, grant us your aid.
Earth, steady the foundation of her spirit.
Water, cleanse the barriers that hold her back.
Fire, ignite the spark of truth within her.
Air, carry the voice of her soul to the surface.
By the unity of all, we call forth her inner light!”
As Nivedita spoke, each element responded. The earth beneath Adrika’s feet seemed to pulse gently, a grounding energy anchoring her. The water in the jar rippled, though no breeze stirred it, casting reflections of moonlight onto Adrika’s face. The flame grew brighter, its flickering dance casting shadows that moved like living things. The air around her swirled softly, lifting her hair and caressing her cheeks.
Adrika felt the energy encircle her, warm and comforting yet impossibly vast. Her breathing deepened as Nivedita’s voice wove through her consciousness. They were unwere that there was a wall formed around them shielding them from other's eyes.
"What's happening in.." sky asked Dean. Who replied without taking his eyes off of what's happening infront of them,
"I have no idea Dude. I have never seen something like this. I guess Krishn have some Idea. "
This make sky looked at Krishn and Aadi who has been putting their own force into the magical wall. Aadi's were orange and yellow like fire. While Krishna's energy field was white. Mads was looking almost miserable. Then there was a sound of bodies falling and they all got alert.
"Can you see anything?" Mads asked Krishn.
"Patience Dristadyumn!" Krishna's voice was ever stady and tactful.
"There.. " Emma almost yelled. "Aadi! Look.." she hold Aadi's arm to shook him. Aadi was fixed at his spot.
When the magical wall cleared a bit their eyes fixed on Nivedita standing alone. Drained and weak. Then their eyes fall on two ladies laying on the floor. They all hold a collective breath, transfixed by their eerie resemblance. They were utterly identical, every detail of their appearance was a perfect mirror. Their raven-black hair spilled over the ground in the same glossy waves, their skin an identical pale hue. Even the faint scar curving across the left eyebrow of one was mirrored on the other, as if they were not two separate beings but a single entity split in two. Their matching emerald-green dresses clung to their still forms. It was impossible to tell where one ended and the other began. It was so unnerving that they had no explanation.
"They both survived..." It was Suryavir. Nivedita walked to him as he hold out his arm.
"They are uncanny..." Sam said shocked and confused.
"A complete clone." Emma added.
"Nani.. which one is my mumma?"
Aadi asked. But before Nivedita could answer one of them started stering. They all took a step back. She sat up slowly holding her head. It took her some time to adjust to the light. Before she looked at everyone one by one. They all were staring at her trying to figure out which one was she. Leo took small steps and sat infront of her. She was observing his every move. After a while when no one said anything she said,
"Why are you looking so handsome? What happened to my Dork bestfriend? .. dude, you are freaking me out." Leo gave a gasp. And Sky let a breath out which he did know he was holding. Her eyes went to him. "Babe....!!" She called out.
"That's mine..." Sky gasped before going to her.
"Mumma.." Aadi said and tried to wake the other one up, joined by Mads, Sam and Dean.
"So it's Done?" Adrika of present time asked Leo. He nodded and replied.
"It's done." When Queen Adrika was awake Mads hugged her first. To which Adrika raised her brows and smiled as if she was impressed by something.
"Wohhh.. Go Maddy!"
"It's a long story." Mads said to her still having Adrika in his arms.
"Can't wait buddy! Who are the hotties BTW?" She asked gesturing towards Aadi and the Winchester brothers.
"Domino effect." Leo replied. And she shrugged. And slowly stood up.
"Let me see the little dike." She said to sky and he gave her the baby. "So you are the trouble maker for who all these happened. You actively ruined your mother's afterlife so you could be born. Saitan."
It was clear that although both women look exactly the same their personality and behaviour is completely different. Adrika of present was much tougher and practical while Queen Adrika was softer and full of empathy. It took them hours to explained her how and what has happened. They introduced everyone she didn't know. Surprisingly she never left the baby. All the talks about her not being a baby person somehow didn't affect her in the face of the chance of actually getting a baby.
"So now that we both are here.. who is going to live as Adrika?" She asked. No one thought about this before.
"You are. It's your time. Your family. Your identity. I'm a fragment of history, Adrika. All I want is a quite life..." Adrika replied but suddenly stopped. She wanted to say with Mads, yet an unknown fear clutched her thorat. Suryavir understood what she has been thinking.
"Baba used to call Mumma, Idei. I think you should make that official." Aadi said almost with excitement. Adrika smiled at her son knowing he loved that name.
"That's name has so many memories of your baba, mere Rajkumar!" Krishna replied affectionately.
"Besides us nam pe sirf tumhare baba ka adhikar hai. If your mother wants she can use my nick name for her." Mads said from beside Adrika. (The rights to use that name belongs to your Baba)
"You have one?" Aadi was shocked.
"Idaa!" Adrika replied with a smile. She remembered very briefly this name was used. Only a handful of time. And she remembers each and every one of them.
"That's beautiful!" Sky exclaimed.
"A piece of her identity which was only mine." Mads said holding her by her shoulder.
"So.... What's the plan now?" Dean asked getting up from the seat and streching a little.
"Don't worry. We haven't forgotten you. We have prepared two talismans. At a specific time where the vails between two reality will be the thinnest. If you are around a portal then, these will work like keys to open them and you can go back to your respective time.. or dimensions." Suryavir said giving them one carved zade.
"What's that for?" Dean asked pointing at the other zade in his hand. Suryavir turned to Aadi. Realisation hit Aadi.
"You also have to go back my child." Suryavir said to him.
"I.. I know.. I understand. My job is done. I know my mother is happy. Now I can go back." Aadi said looking at everyone.
"Since there is a lot of unfinished business that I can sense between you all. Why don't we tackle that before Dad's 'specific time' comes. And I also have a lot of talk remaining with my best friend who happens to be the prince of Island the legend kingdom of my own ancestors... Which maybe make us cousins. And my other best friend who is a badass warrior of an ancient super secret badass women warrior group.. which may lead them to leave for their kingdom and we may not see each other often. So...." Adrika said standing up and adjusting the baby in her arm. "Babe can you take the little potato.. I think he stinks now. And you are on diaper duties."
Sky laughs and gave everyone the look that screams 'this is my life now', before taking the baby. Emma and Leo left with them.
"She is amazing!" Adrika said laughing slightly.
"Were you like this before you went time traveling?" Sam asked.
"No.. I was most likely was the same. With less experience in life and world ofcourse. But not like her." Adrika replied. "She is right though. We should... Tie the loose ends."
"Sam.. come on son! I think it's time I should teach you the spells you wanted to learn." Nivedita said to Sam and Dean left with them as well.
"Adri! Let's take a stroll." Suryavir said to Adrika. She stood up without any protest.
"Before she comes and definitely will want to spend some time with Aadi, Mads.. why don't you teach Aadi one last lesson. About your experience from that yuga to this. In your life." Krishn said. Mads and aadi both looked confused. After sitting in silence for some time..
"What mamashree said about your life lessons captain?"
"I think.. he referred to my experience with your mother. She was the love of my life then as well. I think you know.. the only reason I lost her was because of my own ignorance. Life gave me a chance, and I couldn't recognise the love that was infront of me. And I lost her for a while lifetime. I think Krishn want you to learn from my mistake.. recognise the love infront of you. Don't loose them."
Mads didn't know what Aadi got from their conversation but Adrika sure got a way from her father. Suryavir rightly guessed that Adrika now that everything was over, having a hard time comprehending that her life wasn't centred around her children anymore. He took her to a hallway which had sever pictures of him and his wife all around world doing their charity work and involved in different cause and events. To show her that even if they were created to take her responsibility that doesn't limit their life. He was successfully able to convince Adrika that it's not wrong to live for herself now.
The plan was clear. Emma and Leo had to return to Island with a promise that they would keep travelling back and forth to handle their work in Western world and Island. Dr. Adrika and Sky remained in Indraprastha because it was necessary for Advit. They too would travel back and forth for their work and child. Sam Dean and Aadi needed to return to Paradise because the time for their portal opening was near. Queen Adrika who was now known as Ida, bid farewell to everyone. She and Mads decided to return to Paradise as well and stay there for remaining of their life. Krishna also came with them briefly to help the travellers cross over. Aadi had the hardest goodbye with Advit of all people. As they saw him talking to the baby for the last time. After a lot of love and blessings he gave his last words of wisdom.
"Eat well. Don't fell sick. ... And take care of your mom. Because that's what we do. All the boys of our family. We take care of our mothers."
The farewell between Him and the brothers was touching too. Once the portal opened he hugged both brothers.
"I will never forget you two. The best uncles I have."
"Hy.." both Krishn and Mads said in unison making Adrika laugh.
"Take care kid. And live a peaceful life." Dean said kissing his forehead.
"Use the experience and knowledge you gain here to better your and people's life around you. And find your own path rather than doing what you are supposed to." Sam said giving him a hand carved stone bead bracelet as a good luck charm. Aadi went to Adrika.
"This is farewell Mumma!" And he cried. Finally. Adrika hugged him.
"My brave son. My lion cub... My life... You blessed me with your existence in my life. I am content seeing you at this age. Always my kid. And these memories are enough for me. I may not see how great of a man you will become but I will always see you how great of a kid you are my moon.. always remember, Mumma loves you so much." Mads hold them both.
"I am sorry about one thing that I won't know my future brother or sister... The child of two of you." Aadi said without breaking the hug.
"We are not going to have one, son. You are our son. And you will always remain ours. In this time, we were your parents. These months are enough parenthood we needed." Mads reassured him.
"Aadi.. it's time."
Krishna said looking at the portal. Aadi stepped foot towards it. This time Adrika didn't break down. She intended to see every last second of her son infront of her eyes. Aadi turned to see all of them one last time and there was tears in his eyes too and Adrika... Her eyes lids were frozen in place. She dared not close them for a moment in fear of missing her son's last glance. And just when the portal closed she thought she saw the glimps of someone... Which made her yelp.
"What happened love?..." Mads was quick to ask.
"I think I saw... No.. maybe just my imagination." She replied.
"Get ready boys. You are next." Krishna said to the Winchesters.
"A thought. You guys aren't going to die any time soon. Why don't you work on a universal phone thing, so that you can call us whenever you need." Dean said to him, as Krishn hugged him goodbye.
"I think you have enough on your plate in your own universe." He answered with a chuckle.
"Amen to that brother." Dean said before moving to Mads. Sam came to Krishna next.
"If I have a question... Uh.. a prayer in our world. Will you answer?" Sam asked. Krishna smiled.
"If a prayer needed to be answered. I'll answer it. Doesn't matter how, where or whom it's generated from." The portal glowed again signalling the time for them to go.
"You take care. Ok?" Dean said to Adrika. She nodded not saying anything. "Come here." His last hug was a protective one.
Adrika's POV
I felt an emptiness inside her when the brothers left. As if I lost some parts of me. And it was evident to myself after Bhrata Krishna went to the city for some time. I was suffering from empty nest syndrome. I was in chaos and suddenly it was just me and Mads. To refresh her mood Mads took me to an old book store and we got some books. It was nice. I was cheerful while putting them into her wall bookcase. But suddenly I remembered something and stopped and stared at the bookcase. I guess Mads saw that,
"What happened Ida?" Mads said folding the bags that books came in.
"This book case... Remember I told you when I first time came here that.."
"In your old world this was a door. I remember."
"Han.. I can't shake this feelings Kumar!. It's very unsettling."
"I can move the book case and make a door in this place if it's bothering you so much." Mads said dead serious. I couldn't help but laugh a little. He was precious.
"Sometimes you are just way too sweet..." I hugged his torso. "No it's fine. You don't have to make and break things around the house to keep yourself busy. We aren't going to be 'that' couple."
"So what kind of couple are we going to be..?"
"The kind that are too lazy to cook.. can you order something. I'm starved."
"Absolutely.." Mads said before kissing the top of her head and running out. Adrika looked at the book case for some time and for some odd reason give it a push. And it unexpectedly opened.
"I told him.. it is a door. Seriously Mads.. how you didn't know while buying this."
I said with triumph. I pushed the door open and as expected it opened to our backyard towards the lake. But there was a big table and it was filled with food. And there were couple of people eating and laughing. They were quite far for me to recognise. I called in for Mads,
"Mads... Can you come out honey!! There are people in our backyard.... Maddie.... I think they thought it's public bench and having a picnic of some sort... Mad..." I stopped suddenly. Because I heard a familiar voice.
"Rika will you come out faster please... Henry is gonna eat up all the fish tacos before you are even here.... Rika... "
I heard Sky yelling, he was coming from around the house. He looked different. With way too normal clothes. I looked back at the people. I knew them. They were from my hospital.. They were my friends.
"I remember this... Halloween vacation.. 2017. What did I said.." I said to myself. Then I heard myself yelling.
"You worry about your fish Sky. I don't eat your disgusting canned tuna." She was there with them. But..
"What the hell?" Was all I could muttered.
" You are right.. This is your world. Atleast the world you think you belong to. If you ask me you don't have a world anymore. You travel in time." Bhrata Krishna materialized beside me.
"What are you? Are you really Krishn?" I asked the question that has been haunting me for days.
"That is an interesting question. As you know now, from your experience that the universe is much more bigger than your comprehension. I make them. I was the beginning and I will be the end. But my journey isn't alone. You were there for me. With me. And you will be. In my existence I was called a lot of things. But I like being called Krishn. I think I would keep it. It is better than my last favourite, Cronus." I turned to him sharply. I always knew there must be every faith and religion is one but hearing that was something foreign.
"Cronus? God of time?" I asked.
"Yah.. They called me that. Can't you still get that time is everything.. I'm time and you are nature. Together we make creation." He smiled at me.
"So I don't have a life. Normalcy. Option." If I didn't have an origin then how could there be a path.
"Option? You have more options than me Pyari Behna. You have the option to return here and start a life where you left it. Or go back and have that life you left behind."
"What will happen to Adrika there, if I stay here?" I saw them laughing and running around.
"She is a fragment of you. She will dissolve in you. Sky or anyone in this world will not notice anything."
"And if I go back?"
"You will live a good lifetime there. Like you did in Dwapar. Until you were needed."
"I will then abandon my loved ones."
"No you will take your farewell from them. You are the source of creation meri Behna. You are present in all places with life. I am time. I flow through them. When there is an imbalance. When there is a need for rules. We need to intervene. We need to carry out our responsibility of being the creators." He said in a tone that must resembles when he talks without any second meaning.
"Would I remember everything?" Because I didn't wanted to forget what I have learned.
"From the dawn of time I have been erasing your memories to keep you safe..."
"So that it won't get overloaded?"
"I would prefer saying to keep your sanity."
"I need to remember them Brother. They will keep me sane." I wanted those memories.
"Your choice."
"Brother? What should I do now?" That wasn't a question. It was a plea.
"As I say Behna. You have the privilege of option. So you got the headache of choosing as well." we stood watching them in silence before he sighed "I will live you here. You will see me when you need me."
"So this is goodbye?" I said turning to him. He hold me to himself.
"Was that ever been?"
I heard him hum in my ear. And he left me there in the middle of two worlds. Infront of me was the world I know in my bones was mine. Behind me was the one I made mine. And a chance to choose my own future.
Third person POV
Mads felt something weird happened when he was on call with a resturant ordering some food. He rememberd the conversation he had with Krishna. Who warned him, that although he had Adrika now, there was no telling when there would be a need for her and she may choose to leave. He ran into the study room.
"Adrika..."
He yelled entering the room. And it was heartlessly empty. He looked around desperately. Before smiling thorough sadness. He understood she chose to went into another adventure. He turned to leave the room.
"On the second thought, I suppose I'm not that lazy, let's cook something."
The sigh he let go was enough to express the serge of emotions he was having. Relief, happyness, great fullness and love.... He turned around and ran into her arms. That hug was meant to compensate every hour of separation he went through in two lifes. Adrika hold his face and their lips met for the kiss of acceptance and a beautiful future together.
And the curtains close here my beautiful readers.
Hope the ride was a pleasurable one.
The End.
Pragyna.
