Penny POV:

We got to our destination in record time, it had only taken us about 30 minutes since Talon had insisted on going top speed. I could only cling tighter and enjoy the ride as he'd picked up the pace a bit. When we finally touched down on top of the statue he put me down gently then pressed some buttons on his bracer. The drones that had been carrying all the supplies hadn't been able to keep up but at least they weren't that far behind since we could see them.

Once they got here Talon was able to direct the to set the things down.

Talon bends down and grabs something from one of the buckets and holds it out to me. "Shall we?" He asks playfully.

I stare at the paint brush for a moment and seriously think about my decision, is this alright? Should I really be doing this? But in the end I decide to anyway. I grab the brush from his hand before smirking, "We shall."

The three drones finish dropping things off then begin to scatter and start painting. I just shrug my shoulders and choose a side of my own and begin to paint.

About an hour into it the plan seems to actually be going along quite well. Talon and I made small talk while we worked and I ended up learning a few things. Yep everything was going rather nicely, well up until the Gadget mobile showed up.

Talon looks slightly annoyed that we were interrupted (I kind of was too) and stands up ready to fight.

Brain gets out first and then my uncle, I was too happy for words when I saw them I couldn't help it, I quickly dropped my brush and ran over to them.

I throw my arms around Uncle Gadget and upon remembering what I'd just been caught doing I started to explain myself. I didn't get to far into my story though before I heard Talon yell at me from behind. "Penny look out!" He sounded panicked but I didn't pay any attention to it, I'd just been reunited with my family after all. Suddenly I felt someone slam into me throwing me off balance and we both go tumbling to the ground.

I look up a bit disoriented only to see Talons face only inches away from mine and quickly push him off. He was of course fine but decided to be dramatic as always.

"Ow what was that for?" He asked clutching his arm (which he did fall on).

"For practically body slamming me into the ground for no reason you jerk!" Now I was angry at him for interrupting me and that fall actually kind of hurt.

He rolled his eyes before pointing behind him, "I had a very good reason, well unless you think saving your life isn't all that important." He replied smugly.

My eyes widened in disbelief as I took in the sight before me.

This couldn't be happening, there was no way this was real... My uncle wouldn't do this...Right?

Talon POV:

Gadget was holding a rather sharp looking knife and it was now in the exact spot where Penny had just been standing. I look at her in fake concern and see she's frozen in shock, I knew she'd eventually get over it...Probably. Anyway Gadget and I begin to fight and it's pretty evenly matched for the moment. Just as I'm about to gain the advantage the stupid mutt decided to attack Penny. If she was in her right state of mind I wouldn't have even bothered to think about it but since she was like this...well there was just no way she was going to fight. For now I'd just have to take the lead and protect her.

Just as he lunged towards her I leave my fight for the moment and kick him out of the way before he can even touch Penny.

He goes flying and lands a good enough distance away. At this point it was probably about time this little meeting was over. I figured it was probably best to end it here for now, we'll call it our loss and leave. But next time... I don't think Penny will be as reluctant.

Thinking about it for only a second more I turn to face her, "I think we've had just about enough fun for the day don't you?" I smile slightly as I hold my hand out.

Penny POV:

As the fight progressed it was obvious who my real enemies were or at least for this fight. It was made especially clear when Brain went at me obviously ready to do some damage. I was so shocked and heartbroken that I found all I could do was watch. Surprisingly Talon once again came to my rescue as he kicked Brain in mid air and sent him flying.

I was thankful, honestly I was but I was also still so unsure of everything.

It made no sense, why would fun loving Uncle Gadget try to kill me?

Unless...Unless Talon was telling the truth.

But-But that wasn't possible

No! Uncle Gadget and Brain would never betray me like this!

I refuse to believe it!

I'm an HQ agent...Right?

I realize I'm starting to doubt myself now more than ever.

Lost in my thoughts I could only watch as Talon protected me from my former allies.

Evidently he decided it was time to go now though as he held out his hand, "I think we've had just about enough fun for the day don't you?"
