Taki slowly got up after wiping her tears, and held Kyo's hand as they both walked out the door.

She jumped when she saw Obito leaned against the doorway, as he started taking off his mask.

It was obvious that he had heard everything. His mask was held in his hand, his face bare for her to see. His eyes were closed and his eyebrows were furrowed.

"Every time I give my love to someone, they leave me," he said, trying to cover the pain in his voice.

Taki looked at Kyo, and they both looked up at him, guilty.

Obito's eyes snapped open, and he started to cry. "I was going to ask you to be my girlfriend in a month, after I had revealed myself to you!"

Taki's mouth dropped open, and nothing came out of her mouth except the sound of her choking on her own tears of emotion.

She felt happy that he would ask this to her. She felt sad that Kyo would die once they married, and so soon. She felt confused about why this was all happening so fast. What was she feeling!

"I will always be watching over you, Obito. Remember that always."

Obito's head looked down at his most beloved little girl.

Kyo didn't look sad, but happy instead. "Seeing your pain of having lost Taki was the worst thing for me. Now that you two are together, aren't you happy? Your happiness is mine, Obito."

"And remember," she pretended to roll up her sleeve. "If you don't treat my cousin right I will come down from heaven and beat you up." She laughed, and soon it got Taki and Obito to nervously chuckle along.

Taki and Obito sat on the rooftop, watching the stars alone. Their fingers were intertwined, like they had hoped to be able to do for the longest time.

They had been dating for about two years.

They were going to be together, so why weren't they happy? Kyo. She was the one thing that they would soon miss.

"Pretty, aren't they?" Taki asked quietly, referring to the stars above. Obito nodded, and soon stood up.

He wanted to say it so bad, but he knew the consequences. He decided that it might just be worth it.

He pulled up Taki with him, and suddenly got nervous. It was like a bundle of butterflies were released in his stomach, fluttering about, multiplying with every quick flap.

He told her to wait here, and he soon came back with ice cream in his hands. She gasped, pleasantly surprised by the creamy and sugary goodness being offered by her lover.

They are it, and held each other's hands. Taki noticed that Obito's hands were as cold as ice, even though it hasn't touched any ice cream since fifteen minutes ago.

"Your hand is cold, Obito. Is it the weather, or are you nervous?"

"I'm cold," he assured her, and quickly tried to finish his ice cream.

The temperature was dropping, and she suggested that they head inside, but he refused. "Aren't you cold?" She asked, shivering.

"Just wait a moment," he said, looking unusually nervous.

"What is it?" She asked, waiting for an answer but nothing came out of his mouth. "Oh." She stepped away. " I guess I'll leave you to your thoughts, then. " she began walking away, but he grabbed her wrist, pulling her back.

"No I just- actually I- I need to give you something."

She watched him without responding as he dug through his pocket, looking for something.

Her heart skipped a beat when her eyes met a small black box being pulled out, and she could almost predict what it was.

"I wanted to do this for the longest time," he said, sounding nervous.

He fumbled to open the box anxiously, and she chuckled at his adorableness.

Her heart burst with joy as she saw a beautiful diamond ring laying in the box, glistening in the moonlight.

"Look, I'm a nervous wreck okay so would you just accept the ring?"

She finally burst out into laughter, which seemed to calm him down a bit.

She quickly nodded, overjoyed, and held out her hand for him to slip the ring on. It fit quite well, to her surprise.

"Well, that proposal didn't quite go so well.." Obito scratched the back of his neck, a little embarrassed. She responded by hugging him tightly.

"I love you."

His flushed cheeks returned to its natural color, and he hugged her back.

"I love you, too."
