His eyes began to droop, and all he could see was a blur of red. Kyo was sleeping in his lap, and Obito could feel her chest rise against his own. He wanted to jump for joy and squeal as if he was a teenage girl.. or Tobi.

She was finally free of her mental illness. She finally accepted Obito, and she no longer feared him. It felt like the best day ever.

He laid down on the cool grass, and hugged Kyo, warming her shivering body. He looked up at the stars, and soon found himself asleep.

He opened his eyes to an empty white abyss. He saw two familiar faces sitting in front of him, and sat down. He turned his head to the side, facing away from them.

"I know you're probably mad at us," Rin started, "and we know that we've lied to you." 

"We're sorry." Taki finished, then glanced at Rin. "There was a reason for it, though."

Obito kept his head facing from them, but his shoulders sagged. He allowed Rin to put a hand on his shoulder.

"It was a test," Rin whispered, sadness enveloping her voice. Obito turned his head to them, with tears collecting at his eyes.

"And I failed it," He finished, his voice wavering.

"Not entirely." Taki cocked her head from left to right, indicating a "sort of" expression. "We needed to know how this girl would impact your life. If you truly loved her. We were sad when you took her away."

A few tears leaked out of Obito's eyes, and slid down his cheeks, already regretting his decision from before.

"However, you came back for her, and you realized your mistake." Rin said, wiping his wet cheeks.

Obito looked down. "My decision to leave Kyo came with a price, though, didn't it?" He said softly.

Taki scooted closer to him, and she brought his chin up to her. He was suddenly filled with the strange feeling he had missed for a long time. 

His stomach felt like butterflies were flying around in there, and he blushed at the close proximity of their faces. He still loved Taki like he had before.

He shook off the distractions, and lifted his eyes to meet Taki's. "It did come with a price. Post traumatic stress disorder. I was surprised how bad the situation got." She paused.

"Wolves," she whispered. "Wolves. I just couldn't believe that poor girl's bad luck. She even tried to shake away the thought of you. That was very bad, the opposite of what we wanted for you both. But.."

"You helped her, didn't you? You humbled yourself, Obito, and made it right. That's all that matters right now."

"Now," Rin had a hopeful look on her face, and said with a tinge of nervousness, "Why don't you put off this idea of world peace..? I mean-" 

"No." Obito replied strictly. "This plan must work. It will help the world. With both of you gone, and with Kyo's misfortune, it's made me feel even more confident about this. It will help me want to prevent something like this from ever happening again. And the way through that is the plan for world peace."

Both Taki and Rin sighed at his stubbornness in defeat. "Well, we can't force you to do anything.." Taki whispered.

Obito nodded like he hadn't heard her, and was soon gone from the void in a haze.

Rin and Taki looked at each other. "I guess we still have a bit of time to talk," Rin said.

"Yeah." Taki glanced at where Obito once was, in front of them. 

"So you love him, do you?" Rin asked, smiling a little. Taki blushed, making Rin giggle.

"Y-yeah.. but I died a while ago, his heart probably moved on. I don't think he loves me anymore." She looked down, her heart beating faster. "It made me feel like my heart was gonna explode when I touched him again!"

Rin laughed softly, the sound reverberating through the void. She quickly looked around, and covered her mouth. Her eyes met with Taki's, and they burst out laughing, the noise filling the whole place.

"Anything we say loudly echos everywhere," Taki whispered through a fit of giggles.

They eventually stopped laughing, and took in a deep breath. "Well, since you still love him, what are you going to do? Stalk him until he dies or what?" Rin chuckled.

"Mm maybe.."Taki twisted a piece of hair around her finger. "I'm just kidding. I actually have a better idea." She whispered something into Rin's ear that made her eyes grow wide.
