At alphys I was waiting in my small room upstairs for Viktor to come over so I could teach him cipher static. 

     "Heya kiddo~" A gruff voice said startling serenity.

     "Wah!" She fell face first off her blue and black bed. She got up and brushed her nightgown off.

     "Geez louise you almost gave me a heart attack!...ahem...sorry..you ready to start?" Serenity asked with a large brown book with torn edges and yellow pages now in her hands. She rubbed her nose which was now red from landing on the floor.

     "Oh shit..sorry kiddo...you okay?" Viktor asked with concern.

     "Hmm?...oh... yeah I'm alright!" Serenity replied with her eyes closed and her head tilted. She smiled.

     "Okay....guess I'm ready to start," the skeleton replied sitting down on the bed. Serenity sat beside him and handed the skeleton a piece of paper.

     It read

Hello - sorano 

Friend - sphurr 

Good bye - sehlo

Yes - senva 

No - popentar

     "Those are the basics. Just simple greetings and common courtesy," Serenity said handing him the paper.

     "Heh...velvent Serenity," He replied and she chuckled.

     "Somaseno! Which means your welcome!" She giggled at his remark,"Hey would you like a muffin? I baked them yesterday! They're chocolate chip!" She said showing Viktor a perfect muffin. The chocolate chips were easy to spot in the pastry.

     "Sure" Serenity hands him a muffin and suddenly lelo appears at Serenity ' s feet. He Beggs her for a muffin and whimpers. 

     "Okay fine. Here you big pillow," She tosses an entire muffin at the dog and he eats it whole. He practically inhaled it.

     "Heh...little guy must have been hungry, he practically absorbed that muffin." Viktor states looking at the small dog. 

     "Hmm....well...he technically did....see me and lelo...we aren't alive...anymore," she whispers the last part." Here! I'll show you!" She stuck her hand through the wall.

     " Me and lelo are phantoms...not exactly alive and not really dead...it's weird..." 

     "Sounds cool," Viktor replied optimistically.

     "Yeah...I can't feel anything...fun.."she looks down with a sad face, it looks like she wants to say something,"Well those are the basics! I hope you had fun, it was nice hanging out with you..."She was smiling, but it was fake.

     "Hey kid, you can't fool me, tell me what's wrong," Viktor looked sincere as he said those words.

     "Heh...it's a long and sappy story...I don't think you'd want to hear it..." She looked down and played with her pale translucent hands.

     "I've got time kiddo, c'mon tell me, I hate seeing people sad,"

     "Sigh...here it goes...when I fell into the underground me and my brother were separated, we were both human too....hold on a sec...do you know about the timelines?"Serenity asked Viktor without looking up at him.

     "Yep...." he replied waiting for her to continue.

     "Okay...so basically I was alone down here with only lelo to keep me company, you see my brother was in a diffrent timeline...he was in pacifist....and I...I was in....genocide...my job as a Nightrone family member was to protect the human frisk...but I just couldn't...I was too weak...I tried to convince sans to stop...but he wouldnt...he didn't know chara had possessed frisk...so he just killed her over and over again...he didn't know....our family has a curse...we can feel the physical and mental pain of humans when in a close proximity...I watched and felt everything... every time frisk got hit or struggled...I felt it all... I tried to leave...but I couldn't...all I could do was watch...until frisk doged one of sans attacks...and it bounced off a pillar...and hit me...I died...he killed me...and he didn't even stop fighting to realize he had..." serenity was sobbing and crying uncontrollably.

     "I came back as a ghost....I didn't get to reset or respawn like frisk....because the Nightrone family is a family of hybrids...part human...part monster..." She finished shaking and sobbing quietly, gripping the edge of the bed.

     "O-oh....I-I'm sorry...I should have stopped him when I had the chance..."You looked at Viktor and for a split second it looked as if he were human. He looked at you and you had done the same.

     "Umm...that happened..." Serenity replied meekly. "So...if you don't mind...what's your story?...you don't have to tell me if you don't want to..."

     "I guess it couldn't hurt...much...so up there on the surface...it isn't as happy as most monsters would believe..." Viktor remarked.

     "Heh...yeah I know that all too well...." Serenity replied looking at her hands which were stained with tears.

     "Humanity is at war...a war against the darkness and it's champions. I was a soldier in that war...I fought until I was killed...and then I woke up here in the ruins...I went around not really talking to anyone until I bought a small house in snowdin..."

     "Wow...I must have been down here for years...I don't remember a war...." serenity looked curiously at viktor, he continued.

     "It's true hell up there...Europe is gone..."he paused, " Funny how you get something good just  to get fucked over in, isn't it?" He looked sad and thoughtful."All the colonies have fallen aswell...the entire solar system is just one big pool of darkness.."

     "I  can't even begin to imagine wha you must have gone through..." she hugs him " This was just suposed to be a short lesson....heh....I'm so sorry..." Serenity cried into his shoulder. 

     "Heh...thank god you don't know what it feels like...to die over and over...fighting for a cause you barely believe in..." he was crying too. He hugged her back,"I don't EVER want you to know what it feels like..."He rubbed his hand up and down her back reassuringly."C'mon kid...there's no need to cry...let's get you laid down..." He set serenity down gently onto her bed. 

     "I just can't imagine...I'm so...I'm so tempted right now to just....sigh...never mind" 

    "What were you going to say?...you don't have to tell me but-" he was cut off by serenity putting her hand on his head and her eyes going white. She starts crying again and removes her hand. She hugs Viktor tightly to her small figure.

     "Oh god....I'm so sorry....oh god..." she is crying into his shoulder and clutching his back.

   "I don't know-" he replied.

     "You already do..."She whispers, "I saw everything....I looked through your...your memories....it was horrible..."

     "Hey calm down...the world can't hurt us here....and if it can...trust me...I'll fight the world..." 

     "M-me and my brother are twins...the first twins in the entire Nightrone bloodline...it is said that the first twins will hold great responsibility...one will have great power and suffer great sorrow...and the other will have a strong sense of protection and face the most gentle souls....I was the stonger...and my brother was the weaker....he had pacifist...and I had genocide...and one of my powers...I-is to see through someone's mind...and I saw...everything...all of it..."

     "I'm...sorry...you want to just lay down and relax?" Viktor asked the small trembling girl. 

     "Yes please..."serenity replied wiping away her tears. They layed down on the bed.

     "Want another hug?" Viktor asks the small trembling figure.

     "Yes please...thank you..." he hugs her and she falls asleep softly whimpering. They held each other, afraid to let go.

soo...uhh...expect some fluff next chapter peeps...just imagine opening 20 pillows ad playing with the stuffing...this isn't gonna necessarily be happy fluff...its a bit more depressing...soo...uhh... yeah...
