Viktor's POV

     I sat down at one of the small stools at the bar. I put my elbow up on the hard wood and set my head on my hand.

     "Hey Grillb'z, can I get a vodka?" I asked the fire elemental as he was cleaning glasses.

     "Oh...Yeah sure Viktor, coming right up!" Grillby replied as he reached for one of the glasses he had just cleaned and then poured some vodka in. He handed the glass to me. I nodded as I grabbed the glass and took a sip.

     And suddenly a small brown shaggy dog walked in. He trotted towards the bar and sat on the stool beside me. I put my head down on the counter and held the glass of vodka. The dog then began scratching my head begging for attention. I brought my head up and looked at the dog.

     "And who are you little guy?" I asked the dog as I pet his head ruffling its fur and some of it going through the hole in my palm. The dog then barked and scratched four letters into the wood.

L E L O

The dog then yipped and bounced around.

     "Well someone's excited," I replied "You want a bone doggy?" I asked him and he looked at me and nodded. I just laughed. The dog then jumped onto my lap and fell asleep.

Serenity's POV

     I was looking for Lelo. He ran away while I wasn't watching. I then saw Grillby's bar and decide to check there. I entered and looked around, my long black hair swaying as I turned my head towards a tall skeleton wearing a dark jacket with white fluff on the hood. And in his lap was Lelo, fast asleep. I mustered the courage and floated up to the man. I tilted my head as I walked over.

     "Ummmm...excuse me sir but can I have mu familiar back? He ran away when I wasn't watching," I looked at his eyes...they were simple white dots cast over a black background, with a crack on his left one leading to the back of his head and a crack on his other leading down to his sharp grin. He looked as if he might be related to the skele bro's but I shook the thought from my head. not all skeletons are related, just like with ghosts...

     "Huh?.. oh yeah here," The skeleton placed Lelo on the stool beside him. I looked at Lelo and he just wagged his tail. I tried telling him to nock it off.

     "Vovat vero Lelo. Vovat tehmah! Velvo sphen," I yelled at the dog and he just huffed.

     "Venosan sphurr!" Lelo responded. I looked at the man and he had a curious look on his face.

     "Is that windings?" he asked. I nearly exploded. but he didn't know any better.

     "Gosh no! its cipher static...its the language of my family. my name is Serenity Nightrone. One of the last members of the Nightrone family. And this is Lelo... and he just called you friend so I guess you have my trust, for now..." He seemed nice but then again so did everyone else.

     "Well I'm Viktor, nice to meet ya Serenity," he held out his hand and I shook it. I then realized that I had to find aqua and I still haven't made those snail pastries that Toriel wanted.

Viktor's POV

She was only wearing a torn grey nightgown that just barely reached bellow her knees, she was only half my height. Her long black hair reached her mid back.

     "The language seems interesting..." I said scratching my chin. I had never heard of cipher static.

She looked at me hopefully,"I could teach it to ya!" she said smiling like a little kid.

I responded with, "Sure kiddo, sounds fun." She looked really happy I said that.

      "Yay!" she cheered,"Not many people speak it anymore so I started teaching Lelo how to and now he can say simple words, like friend, good, bad, enemy, and stop." She said smiling even bigger. 

"Oh no! sorry gotta go but maybe you can drop by Alphy's later and ill teach you the basics!" she said.

"Sure, see ya kiddo,"I waved as she left with the dog on her head muttering in the strange language and giggling.
