Chapter 22
I awoke with a start. I could feel a sudden chill in the air as I huddled in my bed. I felt like my head was going to explode in a million fragments. The urge to throw up was overtaking me but I held back the vile substance from winning.
With all of my essence I fell out of bed and dragged myself across the tiled floors. My hands grazed my phone as the world spinned.
Come now
I didn't know who I had texted, but didn't have time to worry about, not before I passed out.

The world shook as I opened my eyes from a dreamless slumber. I fell like I haven't slept that well in forever, but the ache of being on the floor burned my muscles, causing them to screen in pain.
"Emily!"
I looked up to see Chris, his face shadowed in the dimming light.
Then it came back.
Blossom
I began to hyperventilate, panic overthrowing my body.
"Calm down, ok?" He asked.
I nodded as I slowed my gasping breaths. "What happened?" He asked, as he carried me to my bed. Laying me down, he pulled up a chair and grasped my hand.
Tears poured down my eyes no matter how I willed them to stop.
"When the sun sets for its last, when the flowers blooms are past, all of you will beg for life, at the point of a blossoms knife," I recited.
His gaze immediately hardened, "whoever you are, let go of her" he said.
"No, no it's me," I replied.
"What's going on, emily?" He asked, concern lacing his eyes. "Why you care so much about me?" I asked, the words tumbling from my mouth before I could stop them. "His eyes, drilled into mine, and I felt lie, he was reading my thoughts. "Why shouldn't I?" He answered. "We're friends aren't we?"
I decided to stare directly into his eyes, I had been look at the corners, unwilling myself to this pity. I straightened myself, making my self taller, but he still towered over me, even in sitting position. "I saw her," I spat. "Who..." He asked warily, sensing my burning hatred. "Blossom," I recited. "She's a person,"
His eyes widened, "she's a person," he stated. I slightly rolled my eyes, he was repeating everything I said, captain obvious. I couldn't help but smirk.
The smile quickly vanished when I remember something else. "Where's my father?" I asked. His eyes were heavy and his brow creased. He visibly lost color.
"I was just on my way to tell you," he said, no humor in his voice, "the earth shadows have captured him,"
