Emma and Rose finally were at the heart of the gem. Emma was exhausted from fighting the monsters that got into her way. "What do we do now?" Emma asked, looking at the heart.

It was quite large, which would be expected from a place like this. It was a dark pink, although there was a bright pink glow coming off it. It was shaped like a heart, which was expected, but there was a large crack down the middle.

"Hold on...where is Steven?" Emma asked, looking around. "He's over there..." Rose pointed at something that was right next to the heart, and it didn't take long for Emma to realize it was Steven. "Oh...I'll go talk to him.." She then ran over to Steven, who had his head in his hands.

"Steven..." She whispered, making him look up. "Who are you?" He asked. "My name is Emma...I'm here to bring you back to the gems."

"Please...don't do that." He said with tears in his eyes. "By Steven, the gems, your dad, EVERYONE misses you! You need to, Steven!"

He just put his head back down in his lap, making Emma tear up. "Heh..hehe...I really am a screw-up, huh?" She started to chuckle. "This isn't going to work...everyone will hate me..but it doesn't matter, I can't feel anything anyway."

The way Emma spoke really hurt Steven, she sounded dead inside. "I've been putting up with this for thousands, if not hundreds of years...I should've let myself get shattered when I was face-to-face with Yellow Diamond that one time.."

Steven just looked at Emma with tears in his eyes. He was going to hug her, when a voice startled them both. "Steven...there you are..."

Steven looked in the direction of the voice and gasped. "M-mom?" He asked with his hands over his mouth. "I-is that really you?"

Rose just smiled as Steven ran up and gave her a hug. "Oh my gosh! Mom! It's really you!!"
