"Ready?" Niall asks me.

"Yes, we can go, but I stress a lot," I replied.

"You'll get it, the distinction, I mean."

I smile at him, and we go to the school to see the results of our exams passed a few weeks ago. We arrive a few minutes later. There are some who weep, others jump with joy. I turn to Niall.

"Niall, we have to pray for one last time," turning to me scared.

He then takes my hands to bind them with his, and we close our eyes to whisper, "God, let us have our exams with a good distinction, amen". We open our eyes again to the countless names on the list. Horan Niall James distinction good, and Hudson Katheryn Elizabeth, distinction very good. I turn to Niall who looks at me. Then at a glance, we jump up and enjoy our favorite check.

"I don't believe we have such good distinctions," I exclaimed.

"It's huge, I'm too happy," he whispered.

"So?" Liam asked.

"Good," Niall said.

"Very good and you?" I asked.

"We all have more or less a distinction. No one has had his exams without distinction so this is a good point for us. Besides, does that tell you a party at my house tonight to celebrate all that?

- With pleasure, we'll be there," I replied smiling.

"Do you spend the day with me?" Proposed Niall, once Liam left near his boyfriend.  

"No, I have to spend the day with my family to celebrate that, but you're welcome, if you want. You know how much my family loves you, and there will always be more food than you need.

- No, I don't want to disturb. We are barely in a relationship and I'm not going to get stuck like that. But if you insist, I come."

I start laughing because I know he's going to eat mostly, but also because he loves my family.

"Come on, we'll go right away. My grandmother doesn't live very far away, but she needs our help to prepare the meal so you too will help, without eating it."

We return home to leave for the family meal. My parents obviously accept the presence of my boyfriend and best friend even if he has never seen my entire family. It will be a great first for him.

We've been in the car for a good ten minutes and I keep thinking about how I'm going to introduce Niall to the family. As a best friend or boyfriend? I let go of the window and look at him.

"Ni '?

- Yes Kay '.

- How do you want me to introduce you to my family?

- I don't know, it's up to you to see. If you feel able to say that we are together or not. I agree with any proposal. If you introduce me as your boyfriend, I will behave as such, and if you present me as your best friend, I will behave like a best friend.

- Thanks Niall. I love you.

- I love you too."  

We arrive a few minutes later with my grandparents who welcome us with open arms.

"Oh my little Katheryn, that you grew up well. And you Niall, you become a handsome young man," exclaims my grandmother. "Oh, but come on don't stay in the entrance. You arrive in time to help me prepare the Petit fours, do you want to help my little ones while your mother Katheryn prepares the rest?

- Of course grandmother."

Once the meal is ready, my family begins to disembark here. We are then a good fifty, finally the whole family since it is a family meal that is dedicated to me because I had my exams. We are currently at the aperitif, and my family keeps asking me "who is this handsome young man by my side" but I keep answering "a friend."

"My darling, a little speech for the family?" My mother tells me.

I get up from the table and tap a spoon against my drink glass to attract the attention of my family.

"So apparently, I have to make a speech because this meal is dedicated to me so I start. First, I wanted to thank you all for coming and when I say everyone, it's everyone. Then I wanted to tell you that I had my exams with the distinction very good and Niall," looking at him, "here present, had had them mentioned good and I'm very proud of him. Indeed, I must confess something important to me," I say before taking a deep breath. "Niall is not a friend; he is my best friend, but not that he is my soul mate. So I'm as you may have guessed in a relationship with him. There you have it," I say, sitting down.

"But how long have you been together as a couple?" My aunt intervenes.

"About three months.

- And you protected yourself at least?" Ask my cousin.

- Very funny

- No, but seriously Katheryn, it's important. And I know that nowadays teenagers don't wait for marriage until they are sexually speaking for the first time. So please, give me the pleasure to pay attention to that," my mother tells me.

I'm very embarrassed about this conversation and see that Niall too.

"Mom with all the respect I owe you, it's not your business, it's ours. And we didn't even discuss about it between us. But know that Niall is aware of my religion, of ours and that he knows that I wait for my eighteen years to do it," I confessed honestly.

"Okay Katheryn, we're going to sit down now," she said, going to the kitchen.

"I'm sorry about the housekeeping scene my mother just did. I don't understand what took her," talking to Niall.

"Don't worry about that. I was wondering when this sex issue was going to come out and it came down today, it really doesn't matter.

- I love you Niall James Horan.

- I love you too Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson."
