At Liam's (1/2)
"There's a party tonight at Liam's. His parents aren't here at the weekend so he's invited our entire group to come," Niall tells me.
"Oh and nobody else than us then this weekend?
- No, just you, me and the others.
- Cool, I'll be there, I hope you'll be there and that everyone can too," I added.
"Apparently yes," Liam said, coming out of nowhere. "See you later then.
- At what time is it?
- Around 8 pm but you can come at any time, as long as you send me a message before coming," smiled Liam.
When I get home, I see my mother sitting at her desk, stuck on a web page.
"Mom, is everything okay?
- Did you know that soulmates felt stronger than the whole world?" She asked seriously.
I looked at my mother desperately and told her I wouldn't be there for the weekend, which she didn't like at all.
"What do you mean, you will not be here for the weekend, Katheryn?
- I'm invited to the Payne's. You can trust us, finally trust me.
- Will his parents be present during this weekend?" Questioned my mother.
"No, what do you think? That his parents will babysit us a whole weekend, asking us to do our homework, to brush our teeth before going to bed before 10pm. Well, no, we're almost adults now, we know we have responsibilities and I want to tell you that no matter what you say, I'll be spending this weekend at Liam's," I said firmly, leaving the office.
I took a small bag to put some clothes on and took a long hot shower. I was getting ready for a black cleavage suit and my heels so I could go back to the bathroom to put on my makeup lightly. I finished preparing my bag when suddenly my mother was her appearance at the door of my room.
"I'm sorry darling to protect you, to do my best to raise you, but this is my role as a mother. What would you say if you had a mother who wouldn't care about you as I do everyday? I think you would be less well done than I did. It was your father and I who taught you how to live and how to behave, but also how life is complicated. We raised you so that you could find a place in society. So if you're not happy with us, go with your best friend and go on to conquer your dreams. I don't stop you in any case," she told me.
"Don't say that mom. I'm happy with you; I have nothing to reproach you for except that you are really too attached to God, but that, I can't change it, that's why I accept it. I just want some time for myself, a little time to find myself, not to be so addicted to my books. I want to go out, I just want to spend a simple weekend with my closest friends. Nothing more. So if you allow me, Mom, I'd like to finish getting ready so I'm not late, please.
- You won't be late anyway since your best friend is in the living room waiting for you. And you know very well that I'm very picky about punctuality," she added.
"Thanks Mom. You are the best. I love you," I said, taking her in my arms.
I took my bag and headed for the living room where my Niall was. I gave him a quick hug and left to go to Liam's.
Once arrived and almost settled, we sit at the table and eat while talking about anything and everything.
"So loves?" Jesy asked, looking at us all.
I turn my gaze to the cat sleeping on its cover so as not to answer that question.
"I think we are the only couple with Liam," intervenes Zayn.
"Exactly even if I suspect anything from the girls," adds Liam.
"No, Liam, you make ideas, you get ideas," I say seeing the discomfort of girls.
" How does it 'us'?
- Know, Liam, that Niall did the same thing to me some time ago, but I told him there was nothing.
- Nothing between whom?" Zayn added.
"I would say nothing for the respect of these two beautiful girls," I confessed.
Perrie looked at me as if she was feeling targeted, which was true in reality. But I didn't dare tell her that I really thought there was something between her and Jade since they are close, but not enough to be together. Moreover, between girls, it is difficult to say if there can be something between them since the best friends are really inseparable and we can't dissociate friendship and love.
