{3rd June 2020}
—REBECCA WAS right. by not talking to corbyn since she kicked him away from her door, the last month of the contact went by slowly for sasha. with this one last month remaining, sasha began to see the light at the end of the tunnel- finally being able to get rid of this stupid dating contract.

however, sasha did have to hand it to corbyn, he was trying. well he had been trying to diffuse the situation- but now? not so much. instead he too had given up hopes of sorting out the friendship he once had with sasha- the two now only talking to one another whenever they had to.

whether that was at meetings with their managers, or at events- that was the only time sasha and corbyn would talk to one another.

with today being no exception.

with her releasing her new EP, it was not a surprise to anyone that sasha had to invite corbyn to the release party. but she made sure to bring the rest of the group, just so she could distract herself with her five best girl friends, incase her emotions surrounding corbyn got too much.

they hadn't come to the premier for the EP together this time, sasha texting the group that her and rebecca would be turning up a few minutes after everyone else- mainly because of the public appearances sasha has to make sure she completes before heading to the release party event.

the sounds of the new music released by sasha welcomed corbyn into the venue, him walking alongside carmen and jonah, who couldn't help but show their admiration towards sasha's new EP as it began to play.

throughout having 'dated' sasha these last few months, corbyn has gotten to know her writing process. when she was happy, happier songs were wrote. her song, 'falling'- being the prime example.

but now? this new EP had a more deeper emotional feel to it. and corbyn couldn't help but focus his hearing on the lyrics sung by his 'girlfriend.

her chorus of her, 'all i ask', the first song of her EP of five songs welcomed itself to corbyn's ears, the words bringing corbyn to a stop. he watched his friends walk past him, making their way to the table that was reserved for them tonight.

'give me a memory i can use, take me by the hand while we do what lovers do.'

corbyn took a deep breath, the emotions behind the song hitting him like a ton of bricks. after she had kicked him away from her door- the discussion around fixing up their friendship was thrown out of the window, that telling corbyn that sasha was done with any type of friendship with him.

but the lyrics displayed here in this EP, spoke different to him.

'let this be our lesson in love, let this be the way we remember us, i don't wanna be cruel or vicious. and i ain't asking for forgiveness.'

"corbyn you really did break the girls heart." carmen caught his attention, bringing him back into the world of the living. he shrugged at the eldest girl, knowing immediately who she was referring to. "-but if you think all i ask is bad, wait until you hear lovesong- that one was also hard to hear her record.'

carmen patted his shoulder before interlacing her hand with his, bringing him away from the entrance door and instead towards the table where the rest of the group had sat themselves around at.

the pit of corbyn's stomach grew larger after hearing carmen's words. he had found out from daniel, who thanks to dahlia, told him that this EP had not only been hard to record, but also to edit and listen to for sasha, and dahlia too who was the editor on it.

so as each song played along, corbyn grew more inpatient, but more anxious as he awaited to hear the song carmen had referred to. but as he waited, there was some more upbeat songs that sang through his ears, to which corbyn couldn't help but smile at the way sasha's voice sounded on the records.

hearing the beginning chords of 'hopeless romantics' immediately caught corbyn's attention. he recognised some of the lyrics- him remembering the time when he helped sasha finish off some of the lyrical sentences when they were in their good patch of their six month contract.

but hearing it now become something sad, something to practically show sasha's hurt towards corbyn- he couldn't help but frown. however he knew he had to hold back the emotions, and all the questions when reporters asked him if the EP was about him,

as technically, him and sasha were still in a perfectly good relationship.

if only that was true, corbyn thought. but he knew if he hadn't gone and talked to that girl, flirted with her when she walked over- he wouldn't be in this predicament right now.

when the cheering of carmen and dahlia caught his attention, corbyn was about to ask the two girls what on earth they were cheering about. but then he saw it. he saw her.

her raven coloured hair contrasted beautifully with the white dress that held to her body, welcoming all of her curves and bumps. the birth mark corbyn had noticed mid way up her thigh caught his attention, that being one of the things he loved about sasha when she first showed him it.

she wasn't afraid to show off her feelings, or her scars or her birth marks. something corbyn admired. something he still admires about her now.

she held a smile on her face, welcoming and thanking everyone for coming to her release party when walking into the room. the tattoos corbyn had asked questions about and loved finding out the meanings off were on full display, even the one on her sternum- thanks to the cut out middle section of her dress.

rebecca had too entered behind sasha, corbyn however having not paid attention to the best friend of sasha, as his entire attention was on the smiling girl who beamed in her white statement piece dress. she never wore white, corbyn thought- him having always known sasha as a dark coloured girl, mainly consisted of just wearing black and greys.

but corbyn had to hand it to her, sasha worked the colour white very well. almost too well in his eyes.

seeing the group walk over to sasha, congratulating her on her latest musical release made corbyn smile, especially when he saw sasha being pulled into a infamous carmen hug- the two girls swaying one another back and forth. the smile was prominent on her face as the group took turns in giving her a hug.

but when her eyes met corbyn's, the smile faltered. not entirely, but enough for corbyn to notice- bringing his own smile to falter. he raised his hand, giving sasha a small wave from where he stood at the table he had been designated to. he didn't follow the group over to the woman of the night when she entered, corbyn knowing to give her some space, and if she wanted to talk to him.

then she would.

instead, she looked at corbyn from a far, the corners of her lips lifting slightly to give him a small smile- to which he reciprocated instantly.

with writing the EP and the more heart wrenching lyrics of the songs played with sasha and her emotions- it coming to showcase how much she was actually enjoying corbyn and his whole facade of being her fake boyfriend. she would even go to say she was beginning to love it. but when he brought up them actually dating for real that one afternoon, sasha froze and was immediately brought back to her relationship she had with her previous boyfriend.

relationships were and could be difficult. everyone knew that. but dating in the public eye? now that was an entire new level of difficult; with everyone getting involved in your business, bringing their opinions of your personal matters to light, and everything involving the whole dating in the public eye made sasha hate it.

especially when she found out her boyfriend, well now ex-boyfriend clearly, was cheating on her. and everyone found out. she found out the same time as the media did- and that broke sasha into a million pieces.

it was that heartbreaking situation that found sasha not publicly going to date ever again, that being the reason she was taking rebecca as her plus one everywhere,

that and that rebecca deserved to be taken to every event sasha was invited to.

so it made sasha think to herself why she agreed to fake date the brunette boy still staring at her from across the room. maybe it was because it a fake agreement? maybe that was why she was so willing to do it, as she knew she didn't have to put her entire heart into the fake relationship.

except she did just that.

and it resulted in it being thrown back in her face.

"you know, i am extremely proud of you love." the comforting words from carmen brought sasha back into the room, bringing her deep out of the pits of her thoughts she had ventured into. instead of saying anything, sasha just brought carmen back into another hug, tears threatening to fall from her eyes.

the one thing sasha was grateful for since having nearly completed this fake dating agreement with corbyn, was the friendships. the friendships she didn't expect to have made so well and so quickly- but she was thankful. carmen had become one of her best friends, and the fact rebecca and carmen got along so well in addition to the three other girls that stood around the group, it made sasha happy.

not only that, with sasha fake dating corbyn it allowed rebecca to meet eben- and it seemed the two were slowly getting to know one another. when sasha had found out rebecca had been asked to go out for lunch with eben at the beginning of the week, she couldn't have been more happy for her best friend.

"i know you may not want to, but i think he wants to speak to you." francesca came into view, sasha not needing her to clarify who she was referring to, as when she looked over at him- that immediately told her she needed to speak to him.

"yeah i think i should. go drink, have fun, dance!" sasha exclaimed, earning cheers and laughs from her group of friends around her. "this may be one of the more depressing ep's i've released, but please do not let that stop you from getting absolutely drunk. this is a release party for a reason."

with cheers from dahlia and victoria being heard as sasha walked away, she couldn't help but cast one more look to her friends behind her to see them indulging themselves with the alcoholic beverages presented to them at the bar.

she met corbyn's eyes once she turned around, pulling the chair that was next to his, taking a seat. he copied her, him now sitting down beside her, the eye contact still being present between the 'couple'.

"congrats on the ep sash- it's great." corbyn began the conversation, the smile on sasha's face telling him it was genuine, that immediately putting some of the nerves flying around his stomach to slow down.

"thanks corbs."

"hey can we talk?" his eyes dance around her face as he awaits an answer. so when he sees her nod her head, he smiled once again. confusement was evident on his face as sasha leaned towards him, swiping one of the unopened bottle of beers that was his side of the table. he watched as she opened the bottle with ease, taking a large sip of the alcoholic beverage.

"fire away corbyn."

"i know you won't believe me saying this- but i am sorry for everything." he started off, him just being met with a deep sigh and sasha taking another large sip of her beer. "-i understand you said we should just try and get through this last month of this fake dating, but i know it's not just me who is struggling to do this without having some sort of friendship with you whilst we do it."

he was right, she was struggling with completing this last month of the fake dating contract, she knew it was going to be hard now that they had no sense of friendship between them- it instead being a broken one.

"so i won't go spilling my heart and soul out because this isn't about me." sasha gave him a small smile, it being her turn for her eyes to dance around his face, taking in every facial feature she could; from the crinkle by his eyes, to the way the corner of his mouth twitches when he was nervous- she took it all in. "all i want to say is that if anything, i want the friendship we had. if anything we both deserve that."

having said what he wanted to say without piling it all on her, corbyn took a sip of his own beer he had opened before sasha had come over, him taking a few large sips of his own to catch up with her.

"yeah okay, some sort of friendship is needed if we want to actually last this final month of dating." corbyn nodded his head, leaning forward. sasha watched as he hesitated to grab her hand, her seeing it in his eyes. so as he went to pull his hand back, sasha grabbed it last second, interlacing her fingers with his.

"become somewhat friends again will help pass the time quicker." sasha continued, her eyes meeting corbyn's. "-even though we are 'dating'-" sasha continued, the use of her air quotes making corbyn laugh briefly. "-if you want to go off and do stuff with other people, we just need to make sure the other one knows, deal?"

"oh i won't go off with anyone else sasha. fake dating or not, you have my entire attention."

"i didn't have it a few weeks back, but hey ho." corbyn scoffed, sasha clamping her mouth shut from laughing at the all too necessary dig she had made to corbyn. even though it was seen as a playful jab, corbyn could hear the tiny bit of what he couldn't distinguish was anger or sadness hidden in the words. "can i tell you something though corbyn?"

"always."

sasha let out a deep sigh for what seemed like the hundredth time, giving corbyn's hand one more squeeze before letting go. corbyn's hand felt cold without the warm touch of sasha's fingers interlaced with his own.

"i may have forgiven you, but there is one thing i can't forgive you for, not yet."

"and what's that?"

"for breaking my heart."
