—AFTER THE events that occurred at the nightclub at dahlia's birthday, sasha did not want to speak to corbyn. cause if she did? she couldn't guarantee that she wouldn't end up crying or giving corbyn a big old slap for acting the way he did.
maybe she would do both.
seeing him with a girl at the table was fine with sasha. of course she was annoyed and upset, but the thing that got corbyn really on her bad side was what he did after he had a chat with francesca at the bar.
sasha was happily minding her own business, talking to a guy who seemed to be very interested in taking her home that night- and with how petty sasha was, she nearly went through with it- just to piss off corbyn.
but before she could make that decision, corbyn had made his way over- interrupting the intriguing conversation sasha was having with this handsome looking man she had been dancing with moments ago.
not wanting to acknowledge him at first, sasha simply turned her head, practically dismissing corbyn away from her and the man she had just met.
corbyn had other ideas however.
as when the guy turned around to order sasha and himself another drink, corbyn wrapped his arms around sasha's waist, giving her a squeeze and a kiss to the head.
to think he would even begin to believe that sasha was going to allow him to do that, was stupid of him. to which was why, corbyn was met with a shove and push from sasha, before leaving him alone by the bar. sasha knew one hundred percent that the guy who was ordering her drink saw all of that, so she didn't go back over- because she didn't know how to explain what was going on between her and corbyn.
"oh hi yeah, so i have to fake date him cause our managers told us to." like that wasn't a normal thing to just blurt out saying, and she couldn't risk saying that to anyone outside of her inner circle, in order for it to not be exposed to the press.
after the whole fiasco with the guy sasha was happy to potentially spend the rest of her night with, she instead just spent the rest of the time with francesca and carmen, the two alongside rebecca making sure she was okay without bringing the attention of the situation to dahlia- as they didn't want to ruin her birthday.
even though dahlia probably did register something had happened when she saw sasha and rebecca get into a taxi together before any goodbyes between sasha and corbyn were given.
waking up now, sasha rubbed her head, feeling the consequences of all of that alcohol she consumed. looking down she saw rebecca sleeping soundly next to her, bringing a smile to sasha's face. she didn't realise rebecca had fallen asleep next to her, but sasha assumed it was because rebecca wanted to make sure her best friend was okay.
and she couldn't appreciate her more for that.
the clock on her bedside table showcased 11:03, bringing sasha to raise her eyebrows, her having not slept in for that long in a while. she could thank her manager for that- larry and his need to organise early morning meetings.
the flash of her phone screen constantly brightening and dimming caught sasha's attention next. where multiple texts from a certain person was seen. a groan of annoyance was made by sasha, her turning her phone over, not wanting to give corbyn any of her time as of right now.
the need for food was what instead on sasha's mind, making her climb out of her bed without waking up her best friend beside her.
descending down the stairs of her home, sasha was about to turn the corner to her kitchen when a faint knock on the door stopped her in her tracks. confusion covered sasha's face, curious as to who was outside, the raven-haired girl not remembering any plans that involved seeing anyone today.
"sash?"
a slap to the forehead was immediately done as sasha heard corbyn's voice outside her front door. mumbles of annoyance were exhaled by the girl as she walked over to her front door- deciding to just open it as she knew otherwise corbyn would continue to knock on the door, and sasha did not want him waking up rebecca upstairs
as waking up rebecca from her sleep? was a deathwish.
the sounds of locks being unlocked were heard, sasha being met with the face of corbyn as the door swung open. she watched as he lowered his clenched hand, him not having to knock for the second time.
"hi."
"what?" sasha sighed, leaning her head against the door, keeping the door fairly closed, not wanting to let too much of the breeze outside into her home. the look of regret was sprawled all over corbyn's face, every inch of his face that displayed emotions portrayed regret and sadness.
but that didn't affect sasha at all. instead she was getting annoyed as she was just met with silence from corbyn after her question was left unanswered.
"you going to talk or what? I haven't got all day." sasha declared, a sigh this time being exhaled by corbyn before her, a hand running through his hair when his eyes met her own.
"i just wanted to apologise, for last night."
"cool."
"cool?" corbyn repeated sasha's words, her simply nodding her head.
"yeah- cool whatever corbyn. we're fake dating anyway so you do whatever you want. and i get to do what i want." sasha stated, her giving a small smile- which corbyn knew was not at all one of her genuine smiles.
"my words from the other day still stand though sasha."
"oh really? tell that to the girl you were with last night." sasha fired back, her words being laced with annoyance. "if you so call still believe what you said the other day about- wait what was it?" sasha took a second to think, lifting her eyes up to the sky before making an 'a-ha' sound, her eyes meeting corbyn's once again. "-oh yeah, you so call wanting to date for real."
"well guess what corbyn?" he sighed, his heart dropping as the next words flew out of sasha's mouth.
"this. us. is all fake, and that's all it will be. we only have two more months of this stupid contract, and then we can just move on yeah? because that is all this is- fake dating."
sasha swallowed the lump forming in her throat, the raven-haired girl seeing her words practically shatter the brunette boy across from her. a slight feeling of guilt ran through her body, but sasha quickly shook it off. after all, this was all a contract- all they had to do was fake date for six months- nothing was supposed to come out of it.
and it was stupid for either sasha or corbyn to think anything would actually come out of it.
"i think we should just do it where we only have to see each other when we need to. time will fly by then."
"sash i-"
"-i'll see you later corbyn, i have to go." sasha gave him a small smile, this time it being genuine as she watched him clamp his mouth shut. he gave her a small wave, allowing sasha to close the door as he turned around to leave.
and it was perfect timing for her to do so, as tears threatened to fall from sasha's eyes. taking a deep breath, she leaned against the now closed door, sliding down it.
"sash?"
bringing her eyes up, sasha was met with concerned eyes from rebecca, her best friend taking quick steps down the stairs before now kneeling before sasha.
"sorry did i wake you?" sasha said, wiping away the few tears that did end up falling, rebecca stopping her hands, and instead wiping the tears herself. sasha gave her a smile as rebecca shook her head, telling her best friend not to worry about having woken her up.
"are you okay sasha? and be honest with me."
"i told him i didn't want to see him unless i had to. that all this fake dating shit will be done soon and we can then move on. move on like nothing happened." more tears fell, sasha not bothering to hold them in as rebecca simply let out a deep breathe before pulling her best friend into her arms, giving her a gentle and reassuring squeeze.
"i think you two just need a little break away from each other- because i know you didn't mean a single word you said to him."
"that's the thing bex." sasha mumbled into her shoulder. she brought herself up, looking into her best friends eyes. "i don't know if i did mean it or not. gosh it was stupid of me to think we would be like one of those fucking cliche book couples, where they fake date and then end up really dating. it was never going to happen, and now i'm fucking crying like an idiot over it."
"hey. hey!" rebecca grabbed ahold of sasha's face, stopping her from making any further comments, instead making the raven-haired girl focus all of her attention onto rebecca. "-you are not stupid. do not ever tell yourself that. if you do, i will give your head a shake okay?" sasha let out a little laugh, rebecca giving her forehead a kiss- something the best friends did whenever they needed to console the other one.
"you are not stupid, you are hurt sasha, and that's okay. you may not admit you had some sort of strong feelings for corbyn, but that's fine- that's why i have eyes." rebecca joked, wanting to make sasha smile- to which was successful, a small smile being seen. it may have been small, but it was at least a smile. "like i said, i think you and corbyn need to have a break from one another, give one another some space, and then you are going to hate me for saying this-"
"-but you two need to talk it out. you know these two months will not go easy if you are hating his guts. it will only drag on- and that won't be a fun environment for either of you." sasha listened to rebecca's long statement, knowing that her best friend was right. but it didn't make sasha feel any better.
"i think- i think i did have feelings, and i mean proper feelings for him bex."
"correction, you do still have feelings for him and that's okay. you two just need some space."
"i love you bex."
"i love you too sasha." rebecca gave sasha another comforting hug and a kiss to the forehead before pulling them both up from the floor. "-now let's go make some pancakes bitch."
