Val's POV
Being preggo was good for the most part. I mean I wasn't one of those moms that was like I love being pregnant! No I was actually quite hormonal. I either wanted to hit or slap people, eat, be my normal self, or makeout with Fili (XD) For him it was alright. He was patient with me. Since I had two kids in my stomach I was twice as hungry and twice as hormonal. So nobody pushed my limits.
One morning Fili and I were sitting on a bench in the garden, you know being the lovey dicey couples we were.
"It's a beautiful morning isn't it love:"
"It sure is sunshine."
"That rain sure did make a puddle by your feet." He remarked as I froze. His face immediately went to What's- wrong- i-love-and-will-protect you look.
"What is it Val??"
"It's time."
"But we've had so many false alarms-"
Now let me stop here. At eight and half months I thought i was going to go into labor early. I would get this weird feeling like it was time. So the first time we thought it was the real deal. So Fili heaved and puffed as he struggled to carry me along with Kili there faces red with concentration. Turned out it was just my time of the month. Fili decided he was not going to carry me again and that we would have a stretcher cart and they would wheel me in. We did this two other times. As I got wheeled in by an ambulance stretcher cart thingy.
Now let's fast forward to the present. There are no stretchers in the middle of the garden. There are no guards around.
"Please please tell me this isn't like your time of the month!" He whined "and in all of the places!" He picked me up and shifted as he begin to walk as quickly as he could puffing and huffing face bright red.
"COME ON GO FASTER! YOUR CHILDREN ARE AT STAKE!" I gritted my teeth. He released a sigh of relief when he saw a stretcher.... That was taken by another nurse.
"Shoot me now" he muttered under his breath. "KILI!" He yelled there wasn't a stretcher in sight. Kili came running forward as he took the other side. We begin to move quicker and we soon reached the door.
"Put your legs out so you can bust through the door!" Kili yelled
"WHAT??? DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH PAIN IM IN??"
"if you love your kids then do it!"
I pushed my legs out so they weren't wide like a straggle but they were in front. The door opened as they put me gently as they could on the bed without dropping me.
"Hey honey it's going to be okay. Remember our breathing lessons with Oin? Hee hoo Hee hoo-"
"THAT DOESNT MAKE THE PAIN GO AWAY! I NEED A EPIDURAL NOW!"
"What's an epidural????" Fili and Kili asked confused
"Here drink this." A nurse gave me a liquid as I immediately drank it. I immediately felt numb. (Liquid form of epidural)
"Hehehe sunshineee let's name our kids pumpernickel bread! I can feel the tinglingggg"
"Um honey were not naming our kids that."
"YES WE WILL THEY WILL BE PUMPERNICKEL BREAD! "
"Okay sweetie." He said with a fake smile as he whispered "what did you do to my wife???"
"I gave her some meds to calm her down and to not feel anything where she's giving birth. "
She quickly left and came back with another nurse. "Alright its time your ready."
"WOAH!" I sat up a bit "Fili this is the real deal?"
"The real deal." He truly smiled "I'm right here. Kili and Tauriel are here too."
"Okay let's do this!"
Within five minutes the twins were out. Then they were bathed as one was handed to me, my curly blonde blue eyed daughter. While Fili got a curly dark haired blue eyed son.
"She looks exactly like you sunshine."
"Indeed she does."
"Our son looks exactly like-"
"Thorin." We said together.
"So have you guys decided what your going to name them?" Kili asked
Fili and I smiled "well the girl is going to be named Elenwè and we both decided to name our son Thror after Thorin. And it fits perfectly because he is an exact replica."
Kili stood in awe while Tauriel smiled
"We would also like to ask you if you guys will be there godparents?"
Kilis eyes brightened as he smiled with happiness. "We would be honored. We also have something to tell you guys."
"Someone's getting married...." I sang in a sing song voice
"Congratulations!" Fili smiled as he held Thror "whens the weddings?"
"In a few months."
"We'll be there."
I switched kids with Fili as I held my son. Thror. It was perfect he was perfect. I couldn't be happier.
Elenwè and Thror Oakenshield
Heirs of Erebor
I couldn't be more happy
