What the Hell?

Beelzebub just continued staring her down. The angel remained still. The sin thought her eyes were deceiving her.

She may not have  seen the angel in person before, but still. The description about her own face and especially her wings fit perfectly.

The angel had short messy white hair, not to mention golden eyes. And those wings. They were as gold as fuck.

Beelzebub blinked twice. The fox-like sin had dropped her cup of coffee on the floor, causing it to shatter into pieces as it spilled all the contents all over.

Since it was early morning, Beelzebub was in her pink and white bathrobe, while the angel standing at her door was wearing a bloodstained and nearly torn up exorcist uniform with the exception of one of those helmets.

The sin stared her down, with the angel doing the same. Yet, their expressions were different on both sides. Bee was shocked. The angel was just flat out confused.

Silence loomed over them. Until the angel broke it. "Are you... Beelzebub?" She asked.

"Yes....but you can just call me Bee," the sin started, trying to put some positivity in her voice. "Are you....Evelyn?"

The angel blinked a few times, a bit surprised. "Yeah..." She answered. "I have a really close friend that I somehow got separated from, and I was told by some demons that you knew her, so I thought I could talk and perhaps gets some answers."

"You looking for her?" Bee's look softened.

"Yeah," Evelyn shrugged. "She wears a black bow, has one eye, and had a yellow triangle body. She looks like a certain you-know-who that everyone hates."

Beelzebub thought for a moment. Black bow. One eye. Yellow triangle. The thoughts clicked together. "Bella."

"Yeah," Evelyn sighed. "We were really close. I talked to some demon, and they told me that you, along with another sin was familiar with her, and since you're said to be one of the nicest sins around, I thought I could talk to you first."

Bee chuckled a bit at the angel's compliment. "Well, I do have bit of a reputation for a lot of crazy hellhound parties. And it was really sweet of you to think I'm nice even though we never met before."

"Well, gluttony isn't really that bad of a sin to be honest," Evelyn chuckled. "A part of me always thought that if Bella wanted to live anywhere in Hell, it'd be here in Gluttony. Lots of food, hard parties, goofy hellhounds. Way better than the shit hole that is Greed or....egh, Lust."

Beelzebub frowned. "I wouldn't let Ozzie hear you say that, honey. It's not actually bad though."

"Don't get me wrong, I've never been anywhere in Hell besides the Pride ring," Evelyn shrugged. "To be honest, the other times I did go to Hell, it was for...reasons I rather not talk about."

Beelzebub understood what she meant by that. The angel in front of her was an exorcist, and so far exorcists only went down for one thing. To decrease overpopulation.

And seeing as Evelyn was tugging at her arm, it seemed that the angel was rather regretful of her own choices in the exterminations at this point.

"Bella and I were very close to the point that I became a bit protective over her. I don't mind if Bella wants to live somewhere, just as long as there's no rapists or sex offenders nearby."

"Aww, honey, you're awfully sweet,"  Bee smiled as she cupped all four of her hands together. "It's really no wonder why Bella talks about you so much."

Evelyn blushed a bit. She wasn't particularly that used to compliments, at least not ones that implied that she was a softie.

However, her eyes shined with hope when Bee mentioned that Bella had talked about her. She was worried about where Bella had gone to and what happened to her.

It was a fresh breath of relief to the angel that the demon haven't forgotten about her. "Can I come in? I need to know what's been happening."

"Of course," Bee chuckled.

.....

Soon,  Bee had given the answers. She told Evelyn everything she knew of the demon, and what she had been going through.

The adventures...the Deciphers....even stuff about Bill. Much to Evelyn's shock and even horror, Bill was still alive. And the demon was interfering with his daughter's life.

As terrified as she was about Bill, she was glad that Bella stood up for not just herself, but for, as she just  learned, her lovers, which basically included the sin she was talking to.

As Evelyn listened, she was learning that Bella was actually changing over time. When she was still around, Bella was just a gentle soul that was naive and curious about the world around her. Now, she was maturing a lot more and being more responsible.

It honestly made Evelyn proud. The angel was glad that the demon now knew what her dad was like, and wasn't turning out to be like him.

This was truly the Bella she had cared about so much.

After she explained everything, Bee decided to ask her own questions. "Evelyn, Bella didn't always talk about you at first," she started. "When she did start doing so....she said you were dead."

Evelyn was silent for a moment. "....I thought I was dead too."

This concerned the sin a little. "If it's not too much trouble, honey, but can you tell me what happened?"

Evelyn sighed. "When Bella and I were traveling together, almost all the places we went to, we started hearing  stories about this, Cassandra. Some woman with hard stoned armor with some sadistic nature. She was what some people called...the true definition of a demon spawn.

She started attacking people, and no one knew why. Some part of her was so angry, and after hearing these stories, I began to worry: what if she went after Bella next?

So, one night, when we were staying at a cabin, my paranoia got the better of me, and when it was really, really early, I called out on the roof and kept watch with the eyes of an eagle.

After a few more hours, I started to think that maybe I was overreacting. Until I saw a shadow in the distance. She had the exact description. Black armor. Blue hair. Pale skin. I knew exactly who it was.

The intruder was approaching the cabin. I was worried she was gonna go after Bella, so I went ahead and showed myself.

I wanted her to leave. I warned her to turn around. I attempted to scare her away by raising my wings, putting my helmet on, and bringing out my spear. I even told her I was gonna murder her in the most brutalist, indescribable way I could imagine. But...she didn't budge.

She wanted something. Something that was in our cabin. I refused. What if whatever she was looking for wasn't in our cabin, and she'd resort to tormenting Bella to get her hands on it.

I wasn't gonna let this monster anywhere near that triangle.

Since no one has killed an exorcist before, I thought dealing with her would be a piece of cake. But I was wrong.

I was nearly close to ending her life when she found a way to outsmart me. She had grabbed my spear, stabbed me in the chest with it, and then tossed me into the pile of sharp black rocks.

I had cheated death many times before, but sadly, not this time. I couldn't free myself from those rocks, not to mention I was losing a lot of blood.

I didn't know how long it I stayed up there for. But after a while, I saw Bella walk out of the cabin, looking for me.

I remembered the look of horror on her face when she saw me up there. She had managed to free me, but sadly, she was too late.

I lost a lot of blood that morning, and my body was slowly succumbing to the blood loss. All I could do was smile as I laid in her arms, and say only two words. 'I'm sorry'."

Evelyn ended her story right there. Bee started to process the whole thing. Cassandra, and all what happened at the cabin.

So it really was a murder that killed Evelyn. "Fuck..."

"Yeah," Evelyn grimaced. "It wasn't a pretty sight to see."

"So, you did die..." Bee started before asking. "But how are you still here?"

"I don't know," Evelyn shook her head. "I just woke up days ago, and when I went back to the cabin, Bella wasn't there, and I just started assuming the worst."

"I see," Bee frowned. "So, these days you've been trying to look for her."

"That's not all," she started. "Not only am I looking for my sweet sweet angel in demon's clothing, I'm  also looking for A CERTAIN BASTARD WHO KILLED ME TO BEGAN WITH!"

she spoke the sentence at first in a sweet sounding tone, but turned somewhat furious halfway through the sentence.

Bee was a bit startled by her outburst. Evelyn growled before taking a deep breath and calming down. "Sorry, there's just a lot going on," she apologized. "So far, all that's on my mind at the moment is finding Bella and making sure she's okay and making sure Cassandra's death is ten times worse than mine."

"Oh, don't worry, honey, a lot of people like yourself get a bit pissed off sometimes," Bee smiled a bit placing a hand on the angel's shoulder. "But it's so great that you're actually alive."

"Thanks," Evelyn said, a little flattered. "But knowing she's missing, it might be a while before I get to see her...I hope she's okay."

"Me too, hun," Bee had an understanding look. "In the meantime, you should get to know the rest of us. A lot of us have been wanting to meet you."

Evelyn looked at her. "Really?"

"Yeah, bitch," Bee said as she wrapped one of her arms around Evelyn. "I didn't want to throw any parties, at least not until Bella is safe and found. But since you're back, I could arrange a small party."

Evelyn blushed. "You don't have to do that."

"Oh, I must, sweetheart. Like I said, we've all been wanting to meet you. It'll be me, you, Vortex, and every single of us that have fallen for our sweet triangle. You'll be able to get to know each and every of us. And we'll get to know you."

Evelyn fluttered her wings a little. "Well, I suppose I wouldn't mind a little partying. I can't remember how long it's been since I've been to one of those."

"That's the spirit," Bee wrapped the angel into a hug. "I promise you, you won't regret this."
