The Mystique and the Mafia...
Today is the turn of someone who writes about the Mafia. She's really nice and an amazing author. Honest. Real nice. Amazing. Yeah. Now, what's your name?
My name is Kenadee Bryant
Hi Kenadee. Did I mention you're really nice? Mafia, eh? Yep! Amazing author. Where are you from?
I am this small town in Nevada called Mesquite. I am just about an hour outside of Las Vegas.
That sounds like a cross between Mystique and Mosquito. Do you get exotic bugs buzzing around all mysterious and stuff? Do you like living there? If not, where would your favourite place to live be? Is yes, where would you least like to live?
Eh, it has its moments, but with it being a small town there is NOTHING to do and it gets way too hot here. 120 degree weather gets old quick.
If I could live somewhere else it would either be somewhere near a beach, or maybe somewhere like London. I feel like it would be cool to live there, plus accents, duh!
120°? What's that in real money? That's like... subtract 32... half it... erm... hot! It's hot! As you're a writer, is this your 'day job'?
As much as I wish this was my day job it isn't. I am going into my third year of college soon. Although with one of my books being published soon I am hoping writing will turn into my day job.
Well, with your skill and connections... Hold on. You write about the Mafia. That's not the same thing as... Phew. Erm... Tell me about your latest project.
My newest project is a whole different story than I normally write. It is a mafia type story about a girl who was trained to be a killer by her adoptive father. I usually write romance novels so this one I am excited about. I am hoping to post it here in a few weeks.
Trained to kill by your dad? Aren't they supposed to teach you how to play football? Ride a bike? Ah romance. Something more refined. I can breathe easier now! How do you feel about bacon? A crazy person once said it was the food of the gods. OK, I admit that person was myself...
I don't eat bacon too often but when I do man is it good! I love it with maple syrup, it may sound weird but you have to try it.
Maple syrup. Indeed. I bet you're feeling right at home here... What is your favourite film?
Is that a trick question? You can't just have one favorite film! If I to choose one of my favorites is The Italian Job. I have no clue why I am the only person in my family that loves it so much.

Oooh, the original or the remake? I like both! Never owned a Mini though. Pretty nippy cars according to the film. Have you always wanted to be a writer, or is it something you found yourself doing one day?
I never knew I wanted to be a writer until the last two years. When I was younger I wanted to be veterinarian but do you know what they have to do?!It wasn't until after I finished writing my first ever book on Wattpad that I decided that I love to write. Since I was only good at English, hell no to math, I figured why not try and be a writer. I love making stories for people to get lost in.
You write stories for people to get lost in to avoid putting your hand up a horse's butt and potentially losing your watch. Good plan. Do you have so many ideas they dribble out of your nose if you don't get them down, or do you have to hunt around the floor and the back of your sofa to find where your Muse is hiding?
Hunting around my house sounds more like it. When it comes to a story I am in the middle of writing I find myself trying to come up with ideas on how to make it go farther and be better. There are times where ideas are just flowing out of me and I have to hurry and write them down or else i'll just completely forget and kick myself later. But like every author out there I do suffer from writers block from time to time.
Writers block? Trust me, I know all about that. TEN years it took Shaun to write my story. TEN. Count them. TEN. Did I mention it was a whole decade? So, if you were in an asylum, what would your particular delusion or psychosis be?
Mine would be that I live in a split dimension. One where I am here in the real world, going through real things. And the other would be a whole other place where I do things I don't do in real life. I'd live out my 'fantasy' in my head but sometimes go between the real and fake world. That would probably be the reason I go to an asylum. Or that I am just crazy which ever one you prefer :D
Oh, I'm sure you're already crazy, but how do you know what you think is real isn't actually the fantasy? What genre(s) do you write?
I usually write romance. My last two stories were about millionaires so I'm not sure what that genre is.
I don't think 'money' is a genre. Maybe let those millionaires just buy you a genre. What genres(s) do you read?
I read everything! I go through stages of what I like to read. Lately it has been vampire stories, but give it a week and I'll be reading Bad Boy type of stories. Give me a book and I'll read it basically. *puts hands out like a baby calling for more books*
Vampire book? I don't know if (unless you count Twilight, but please don't) that and Romance could be more different! Unless you include the mafia killer one. If these are the same, what attracts you to them. If they're different, why do you think that is?
I tend to go towards some kind of romance story whatever the genre. Romance is so popular and everyone can relate to it in some sort of way. Plus there is always some hot guy character in romance, yeah feel me Sin *winks*
Oh I know exactly what you mean there. Yes, I think Bender Benny is single... Bacon – just cooked or crispy?
CRISPY! Extra crispy. I like it almost burnt. I don't like when the fat on the bacon is chewy *shivers* Ew
Crispy with extra crisp? So much you don't need to cut it, you just snap it? A bit too far for my liking, but you do have maple syrup on it, so 'nuff said! Now you're in the asylum with me, how do you aim to get out? Do you have an escape plan?
Hmm well we have two options. One, fake that we are getting better. Try and convince the doctors that their methods are working. Or try and sneak a needle or something sharp, something that you can use when they doctors or nurses look away; then after that try to escape. Since I am not that violent, although I believe I could if the time comes, I'd probably do the first option.
The problem is, here, you don't get better even if you do. Know what I mean? Better bed down for the winter. It's ok, they give you nice jackets to keep you warm. You're entering your work into the Wattys for 2016. Watt story (do you see what I did there?) are you entering? Tell us about it!
This year I decided to be courageous and enter two of my works into the Wattys. One is my story called "A Year Agreement". It is getting published and will be out soon so I thought 'why not try and get a Watty as well', plus it is one of my best works. My other one is what I am currently writing "Silent Love" a sequel to my very first story but it is a stand alone book. I am hoping to win something this year though!
It never hurts to enter and if you don't win you have plenty of other chances next year, and it gives you a little heads up that maybe you can do things to make your stuff better.
Good luck! So! There's Kenadee. When you catch her in this reality, she's...
Just your average 19 year old book crazy girl. I am a girl from a very small town with nothing to do so I turned to writing. I love writing stories that everyone can get lost in and make them forget about their lives for just a few moments. Always remember...the crazy ones are always the best.
