my name is maxene but most ppl call me max, maxx (my actual nickname), maxi pad, etc.

Why did you join wattpad?

i have always loved reading and writing stories, it was a little hobby of mine and i was hardcore obsessed with 1d, especially harry styles. i always search stuff like *someone* imagines and it brought me to many sites like quotev, tumblr, wattpad being one of them and i remember that most of the links i click is a wattpad story / fan fiction and at the time wattpad was letting you read without making an acc but only let's you read half of the chapter i think. wattpad kept telling me to download their app and i downloaded it then made an account!

How long have you been making graphics for?

i started in late september of 2015 so almost 3 years

How did you get into graphic designing?

so i can't remember exactly how i discovered the community of graphic designing but my best friend and i were both writing fan fictions (don't even ask who lmao) and i decided to be a little competitive and requested a cover from this designer. i don't know how i knew that i could request covers from ppl at that time.

i stalked a lot of ppl who make covers and decided to make my own shop
i remember being so secretive about that i use too lmao

What type of graphics do you make, and which do you prefer?

i can make covers, gifs, icons, and more but i mostly prefer making covers coz lmao it's the most common type of graphic but it honestly depends on my mood

What is your favourite part of graphic making?

technically this is not a part of making graphics but my most favorite part of graphic making is when posting the graphic/s i made, seeing all the lovely compliments from ppl and seeing that they like how the graphics turned out just melts my heart

How long does it usually take you to make a graphic?

procrastination could take up to 3 weeks long lol but i usually work on a graphic for 2 hours maximum. sometimes could take up to 4 hours when the graphic is extremely complex or i'm doing a hardcore manip

What program(s) do you use for making your graphics?

i first started using the most common apps for making covers; phonto, superimpose, picsart, and even canva. but on april of 2017, i started using photoshop cc 2015

i now use photoshop cc 2018 cracked lololol
and after effects cc 2018 for video edits, trailers, etc.

Where do you get your inspiration from/who inspires you?

i get a lot of inspiration from tumblr, pinterest, and stiles24stilinskiXD, marvelwhore, bitchmafia, Empressotaku, lunaishi, luciangemini, -autumnwinds, pietrhoe, @loyallyric (oof my phone is shit at tagging nightgate, supernovass, fartette, THEICEWOLVES, luckless, voidmoriarty, humaneity, onederstruck- and many many more that i forgot lmao sorry

Do you have any tips for aspiring graphic designers?

the keys to being a successful graphic designer is passion, patience and being able to accept one's critic or opinions about your graphics. if you really want to be better at designing, you gotta put a lot of passion into your work to improve and be patient because improvement does take time.

and other people's opinions and critics take a big part of your journey as a designer. a hardworking designer will accept critics the right way and use it as an inspiration to only be better as a designer.

practice frequently, but never force yourself to make graphics when you're not inspired or doesn't feel like doing it coz it doesn't help you.
