@Pianogirl56
1) "Name?"
Pianogirl56
2) "Age?"
A secret.
3)" What are your hobbies?"
Writing, reading, calligraphy.
4) "When did you start writing and why?"
I first started writing at an early age, probably about 5 - I have always loved using my imagination to capture a story in such a beautiful and hypnotic way. Writing is in my bones, it’s something I adore doing, and have since I can remember.
5) "Which was your first story generally?"
The first book I ever wrote on Wattpad is called ‘Old Rain’. The first thing I ever wrote in my lifetime was probably a lot of childish short stories, but they’re memories I love thinking back too, it’s when I’m at my happiest.
6) "Do you write in some other website except Wattpad?"
No actually I don’t, I’ve never considered anything else.
7) "What has given you motive to keep on writing?"
I think it’s a mixture of things. Writing is a muse for me, I find peace when I can just sit back and allow my imagination to wonder - it’s also like a therapy to me, it allows me to live a life that isn’t my own. Another thing I would say motivates me is the incredible support I receive from my readers, their comments spur me on, and I try to reply to every single one I can.
8 )"Have you ever wanted to give up everything? (writing I mean)"
I think I have unfortunately, I suppose as a writer (like many things) you naturally get swept up in the ongoing of life. I have a lot going on at the moment and I get wrapped up in reality too much. I should probably take more time for myself, writing makes a spinning world halt, it’s magical.
9) "Which is your favorite story on Wattpad?"
I haven’t actually read any recently from Wattpad - but one of my old favourites was Serendipitous, I always loved that book. My next read is called ‘Colouring Book’ and that’s a Harry one too, I’m excited for that!
10) "Have you gained any friendship from Wattpad? If yes, which are your Wattpad friends?"
Friendships, probably not. Although I will say that I’ve spoken to probably hundreds of wonderful people. The support on here is absolutely overwhelming for a writer, I remember being a new writer and getting my first like, and now look at how far I’ve come. My success is down to the amazing people that read my books, and if that counts as friendship, then I’m happy with that.
11) "Do you relate with any of your characters from your books? If yes, which one and which characteristics are similar?"
I relate to all of my characters, not only the main ones, but ever character in my books has an element of myself - personally I think it’s difficult not to do that. I was always taught to ‘write from what you know’, so my personality is tied to every character. One even has my name... I’d say I’m most like Odette, her thought process is a lot similar to mine in some ways.
12) "What do you want to study?"
Anything to do with Linguistics or language would be perfect for me.
13)" Describe yourself in 3 words."
Thoughtful, pedantic and caring.
14) "What do you advise new writers?"
One thing I have found to be extremely helpful is to organise your writing instead of just trusting where it goes. Create a summary or bullet points of facts about the book - it always helps in the long run. Never rush would be another, don’t worry about writers block, you will get it and that’s okay - you will become a better writer because of it.
15)" Questions based on 'Quiet Little French Girl': How were you inspired to write this story?"
I was sat in a cafe in the centre of my town and watched hypnotically as a child signed to her mother - everything else was built around that one moment in time, and it became the book it is today. I’ve always been fascinated with sign language, so much so that I started to learn it whilst writing this book.
16)"Who's your favourite character in the book and why? "( except from the main characters)
My favourite character has to be Julia, just because she reminds me of my own mum. Her warmth, compassion, love, we’re all traits of my mum and her character will always have a special place in my heart because of that.
17)"You had finished the whole story in your head from the beginning or you let the story to lead you? I ask because the sequel " Dear Dulcie " is basically on hold right now."
A bit of both, a story comes to me very quickly and I map it out about halfway, then when I’ve started writing I’ll add on. My books are usually summarised and planned out in my mind before I’ve written them. Dear Dulcie is slowly becoming my favourite book, but it’s not the only one I’m writing at the moment, I have two other books I have been writing for about a year now - like I said earlier, life gets in the way and I never rush writers block.
18) When your love/interest about Harry started and how? "
I am from the UK so I have loved Harry ever since I saw his first appearance on my television, my love and admiration for him has simply flourished since then.
19)" Why did you make Odette so... fragile? I mean she could have accepted her situation but be strong and don't take shit from anyone. But with some weird way she manage to do that in the way she is."
‘The truth is, you have every right to think of her as whatever you want, essentially she is the readers character, so she is whatever you want her to be. However, personally, I think you have misunderstand Odette, she is the strongest character I have ever written. She is strong because she has been through so much more than any of my other characters, and still manages to do things for others regardless of her emotions. Everyone has fragile moments; Odette fought through her bullies, got her own education, raised her sister, started a new life, forgave her father and fell in love when she never thought she could. She truly is an inspiration.
20)" Was there something that you weren't sure if YOU wanted to put in the story because you didn't know what the reader's reaction could be?"
Yes, countless times! I’m always going back and changing things. As a writer I don’t think you ever know how the reader will react, it’s like trying to see in the dark. Not everyone will like what I write, but I’m proud of my work and that’s what I strive for.
21) Please tell me that on the dinner somewhere inside your mind you wanted to make Miller hit on Odette on the business dinner.😂 Like, we were all expecting that. Didn't it pass your mind just for a sec at least?"
Really?! Wow, I never knew people thought that! No, it was never my intention that Miller would try to woo Odette. Their relation was more of siblings to me than anything else - Miller and Harry are very similar, in the sense that their worlds revolve around that one person. Miller was never attracted to Odette, she just helped someone he cared for, and for that he was, and will be, eternally grateful.
22) "Are you open to the idea of writing something except from fanfics?"
Indeed I am. I’m currently writing a romance novel as we speak...
23)"Any spoilers about the book?"
For ‘Dear Dulcie’ I cant reveal too much. There will be a surgery, suspense, love, laughter, and as always a big twist towards the end!
CRITICAL QUESTIONS
1)"Would you rather make your internet browsing history for 12 months accessible to anyone for a year ,or give up the internet for a year and why ?"
I would give up internet for a year. I don’t really go on the internet very much, I read a lot, and I love writing so in all honesty I don’t think I’d miss it that much.
2)"Would you rather sweat mayonnaise or sweat ketchup and why?"
Wow, that’s a difficult one! I wasn’t expecting this question! Erm.. I’d probably go with sweating ketchup, I have no idea why though, they’re both equally gross. Very good question though haha!
That was my first interview after a while and it feels good to be back!!!
