@octopussyy
1) "Name?"
I prefer to stay anonymous on this platform, but I go by M!
2) "Age?"
21.
3)" What are your hobbies?"
Mostly writing and telling terrible jokes.
4) "When did you start writing and why?"
I started writing when I was in elementary school, mostly just because I loved to make up characters, and I would write to impress my family members and friends!
5) "Which was your first story generally?"
If we are going by my online history, my first story is a fan fiction titled "Cracked." This work started roughly in 2012.
6) "Do you write in some other website except Wattpad?"
I write freelance for my local newspaper, and I run a few personal blogs!
7) "What has given you motive to keep on writing?"
Positive feedback is one of my main motivators. Writing for my own and others' pleasure is something that allows me to keep doing what I love!
8 )"Have you ever wanted to give up everything? (writing I mean)"
Not entirely, no. I have had moments where I was wondering what the point of fictional writing and even writing anything in general is, but then I remember the work I have put into my creations and it would be a shame to see it all go to waste.
9) "Which is your favorite story on Wattpad?"
Dark. I know, it's so cliché! But I loved reading it the first time, and sometimes I will come onto wattpad and read it again... It's kind of like a guilty pleasure of mine.
10) "Have you gained any friendship from Wattpad? If yes, which are your Wattpad friends?"
I haven't gained friendships from the site itself, but outside of wattpad I have gained friends on other platforms! The one friend who I consider to be one of my BEST friends, who I met on Tumblr, would be the wattpad user @thelittlestthings!
11) "Do you relate with any of your characters from your books? If yes, which one and which characteristics are similar?"
I tend to make characters who are not similar to myself. I usually aim to make strong female characters, ones who embody things that I, in the moment of writing, wished I was like! I do, however, write a lot of inner monologue, and let my characters formulate their next moves right on the screen for the reader. So, in that sense, I think my thought process and modes of reasoning are similar to my characters!
12) "What did you study /are you studying/do you want to study?"
I currently go to university and study English as my undergrad! After this degree, I hope to move onto getting educated in the journalism field!
13)" Describe yourself in 3 words."
Feisty, procrastinator, kind!
14) "What do you advise new writers?"
Sometimes the hardest part about creating is getting it started, and then, sometimes, once you've managed to start it is difficult to finish! The one thing to keep in mind in times of writer's block, or even in moments where you lack motivation, is t remember your end goal, and to strive for it by doing your best work possible!
15)" Questions based on ' Skin '
: How were you inspired to write this story?"
I can't remember exactly what sparked this idea for me. I just knew that the female role I had created in my first work, "Cracked", was such a weak figure that I wanted to create a woman who was, essentially, unstoppable. And so the character of Phoebe came about, and who better to pair her with than Harry styles!
16)" Who's your favourite character in the book and why? "
My favourite is Scarlett because she always has a really perky attitude which is a good contrast to the other characters!
17)" Have you decided the end of the book? "
Funny enough, i knew the end of the story before I even knew how to begin it!
18)"If you were asked to publish your book , would you do it?"
With appropriate editing, I wouldn't hesitate to publish!
19)"Which is your favourite a) funny, b) dramatic, c) romantic, d) sad scene in the book, until now?"
a) Funny: Probably Chapter 1, where Scarlett is making the first interaction between Harry and Phoebe an awkward one!
b) Dramatic: The end of Chapter 8 to the beginning of Chapter 9. That was also one of the most interesting scenes to write.
c) Romantic Chapter 8 when Harry and Phoebe meet in the locker room after his fight.
d) Sad I think the sadness in this book is kind of an underlying tone the whole way through, we never are able to forget how Phoebe is always going through an internal struggle.
20) " A phrase or a scene that you write and you'll never forget.(and why)"
Essentially, before I had even gotten halfway through what I have published now, I was to eager to write out the final few scenes of the book that I began writing it a few years ago. Even though it is unpublished, it by far is the scene that I am most proud of, EVER.
21) " How much time did it take to plan the whole plot? "
Realistically, I knew a broad idea of the plot in a matter of minutes. For the entire thing to be a smooth and consistent plot, it took me over a week.
22)" How many unpublished and half-finished books do you have?"
All of the world I have on my page are half-finished, and I have one unpublished book that I am hiding called "505". I think I have a problem of closing these fictional doors!
23) "Any spoilers for future plans?"
It gets even CRAZIER believe it or not, and there are many more lies to be told before the end!
24)" Are you planning to publish a sequel?"
Not likely.
25) " Is boxing Harry's only secret? Because the behaviours of both his friend and the guy at the gym were... suspicious. "
Harry and Phoebe are both hiding secrets, and although you may think that you've figured out what the main secret is, those are just the framing issues for the TRUE secrets that lay ahead!
26) " Isn't it a little too early (I mean in their relationship) for ' Phoebe ' to have sex with Harry AND tell him.the whole truth?"
Not necessarily. The way that Phoebe has been written is to either be completely secretive, or to be completely honest. By giving herself, physically, to Harry it places her in a moral dilemma, which then puts her at a crossroad of being entirely truthful or carrying the weight around with her forever. Since sex is so sacred, for some but not all people, I think writing Phoebe as being sensitive allows us to truly see her after the sex scene!
27) " Where does the title come from? What's its connection with the book?"
I chose "Skin" to be the title mainly because it is the first thing we see on someone. I mean, skin covers us ENTIRELY. The characters showcased in this work are taken at face value, but to look inside you have to pry at them to get them out of their shell. This was what helped me choose such a simple, yet meaningful title. Never judge a book by its cover, is basically the whole concept!
28) " Choose- 'challenge' two writers that you want to know about to do this interview like you."
I choose @spiffylouis, and @LouX5SOS! both have incredible works!
CRITICAL QUESTIONS
1) "What would be the coolest animal to scale up to the size of a horse?"
An ant. I don't have a good reason as to why I think this would be cool...But can you just IMAGINE?
2) "What two totally normal things become really weird if you do them back to back?"
Showering and THEN pooping.
Thank you so much octopussyy!!❤❤
All the love,
M.
