1) "Name?"

My pen name is Nina, but thaaaaat’s not my reeaaaal name!! You know, cause I only sign it with a pen? Haha, all jokes aside, I would tell you my real name, but then I’d have to kill you.

2) "Age?"

My friends say I should act my age — what’s my age again? If you got that reference, you know how old I am. AKA old enough to know better, and tired enough to not care anymore.

3)" What are your hobbies?"

My hobbies these days mostly include preventing myself from jumping off the deep end on the regular. But when I’m not growing a Jay Leno sized stripe of gray in my hair, I’m usually too busy to have hobbies. And when I’m not, I’m doing something creative — singing, designing, drawing. Or playing a stupid phone game that involves burning people’s castles — ya know, cause I’ve got a lot of aggression to get out. They don’t call me “Baby Tyrant” for nothing!

4) "When did you start writing and why?"

Serious answer to a serious question. My dad was always the writer in the family — and I would often ask for his help with homework. He would usually do my homework for me, which I actually hated, because it didn’t actually help me. But alas, my dad wasn’t around much, so it was quality time spent. Didn’t matter that a 9 year old didn’t know what facetious meant — it was the thought that counts. My dad also wrote my moms college term papers, so it was a bit of a family affair.

Anyway, something happened at school my senior year, and my dad wrote an article that he put in the newspaper, and it moved the entire community to action and emotion. I then realized the power of words and started developing my own stuff without any intervention from Dad’s help.

I continued to write — starting with fam fam fiction for some 90s boy bands, and somehow found my own style along the way. I’ve kept adapting it since.

5) "Which was your first story generally?"

Actually, my first stories are some of my more unread stories like Washed Up and Another Chance. Then I decided to do a bunch of smutty shorts and called it the Dirty Series, and then I started writing Un-Tying the Knot, which was a reboot of an older story I had started writing a long time ago.

6) "Do you write in some other website except Wattpad?"

Nope, Wattpad is it for me, and probably always will be. I’ve had offers to put my work elsewhere for money, but Wattpad is enough work for me.

7) "What has given you motive to keep on writing?"

I write for personal reasons, but the readers comments — especially the funny ones — make it worth it. I try to do the same for my favorite authors, as it’s easy to get crappy comments by people who don’t know how hard it is to write good material.

8 )"Have you ever wanted to give up everything? (writing I mean)"

Every other day. Honestly, I haven’t written much in the last year. I was in the hospital the beginning of last year and the beginning of this year for extended time periods, and I just haven’t really found the motivation to get back into it. I stay pretty active in the reading community, though, and have updated a couple of times. I’ve been slowly working back up to get into finishing Another Sunken Anchor. Or to start a new one, maybe.

9) "Which is your favorite story on Wattpad?"

Ugh, that’s hard. There are so many good ones — but probably the best I’ve read are WhoopsHarryStyles Appeal Denied and her Nowhere / Somewhere / Everywhere series, and Meet Me in the Hallway by @aggressivelyfriendly. I think my favorite underrated writer is @sarbearfive, all of who’s series are amazing and she does not get enough reads for the quality of her writing. Oh and On Her Majesty’s Secret Service is an amazing thriller by @Lunaxxstyles that also doesn’t get enough cred.

10) "Have you gained any friendship from Wattpad? If yes, which are your Wattpad friends?"

I’ve made a ton of friends here — too many to name and credit, but they know who they are. There’s a nice circle of us that all read each other’s work and comment as well. I have some amazing readers too who have become friends. My DMs are always open, even though it seems like I’ve fallen off the face of the earth lately.

11) "Do you relate with any of your characters from your books? If yes, which one and which characteristics are similar?"

I think as a writer you relate to every character in some way. Sometimes in more ways than we realize and it can come out in our writing. It’s one of the reasons why I’m so adamant on commenting on my friends stories to help them sometimes come out of their blinder zone.

In a lot of ways, I actually identify with all of my characters, not just my female leads. They are either inspired by real life people I know, or they are elements of my personality that I wish were there, or the way that I view the world through other people. Writers are an introspective bunch, I think.

12) "What did you study /are you studying/do you want to study?"

I went to school for music business, and then went for my grad degree in touring, and then finished my next grad degree in media psychology. I’ve actually worked in artist management for big artists, and I’ve toured the world and done and seen some crazy things. In many ways, I think that’s why I relate so much to my Harry characters. Many of them are reflections of my past clients in ways.

13)" Describe yourself in 3 words."

Philosophical , Sarcastic, and… punny? Lol.

14) "What do you advise new writers?"

Write for yourself. No one else’s opinion matters, unless you think it can improve your writing.

15)" Questions based on ' Un-Tying The Knot ' :  How were you inspired to write this story?"

It’s actually an older story, and it was inspired heavily by what happens to major artists after their moment in the sun is over. Many of them get into abusive relationships or have a hard time navigating the after shocks of fame, and that intrigued me. Especially as it pertains to many of the crazy women that are gorgeous that a lot of them end up with who ruin their lives (and those who don’t).

16)" Who's your favourite character in the book and why? "

Nick, actually. He’s the comic relief everyone needs when everybody does stupid things. He’s also the most like me, I think.

17)"If you were asked to publish your book , would you do it?"

Sure, why not.

18)"Which is your favourite a)  funny,  b) dramatic,  c) romantic, d) sad scene in the book?"

Funny?
I think the scene where they’re in Holmes Chapel drinking and sharing stories is my favorite funny moment. I think it’s when you see Harry at his most comfortable, and I think it’s when you see that he really loves her, but through the lens of comedy. But there’s so many amazingly funny moments that happen there.

Dramatic?
I think this is when Livvy finally quits after Harry rejects her at the wedding. She finally musters up enough courage to go back to the office, only to find out everything was an elaborate set up and she’s in a lot of danger. This was definitely the quickest scene I ever wrote in the book.

Romantic?
I think a lot of the earlier chapters and scenes are the most romantic, but I would argue that probably the time in the woods in Holmes Chapel was the most romantic. You can really see them falling in love with each other here, in my eyes.

Sad?
When Livvy finally begs Harry to not marry Eleanor before the wedding, and he rejects her. Gets me right in the feels every time.

19) " A phrase or a scene that you write and you'll never forget.(and why)"

I think the epilogue is a scene that I’ll never forget. I actually cried writing it — and it felt like I was there. And to be fair, I wrote it before Harry went on his HS1 tour, and re-reading it after is even more emotional. Just because it’s how I think Harry genuinely feels about his music and his fans, I think.

20) " How much time did it take to plan the whole plot?"

I actually never plan my plots. I just write on the fly. I know that sounds crazy, since I have a lot of intricate details in the stories, but yeah — everything is just on the fly. I let the movie play in my mind, and then I write it.

21)" How many unpublished and half-finished books do you have?"

Lol, way too many. I started a memoir series based on my own personal journaling needs since I have a high stress job and a high stress life and a high stress family, but I worry it’s too personal so I publish and then unpublished it regularly. I’d like to go back and finish Nympho, though.

22) " If you were asked to change just one thing in the storyline that could change the whole book  completely  , what would it be?"

It’d be a lot of things based on readers — the most popular being that Harry would have run off with Livvy far before the wedding. Ideally, instead of taking Eleanor back after the broke up, he should have gone with Livvy for good instead of going off the rails. But my point with the entire book is actually about abusive relationships, and that people often discount how hard it is for people to walk away from those that they can’t seem to let go of due to the abuse. My personal plot change is that he would have actually married Eleanor, but you know — I’m a bit sadistic. Hehe.

25)" We never really learned exactly what happened on the wedding day. Are we going to somehow?"

Yes, you will learn it in the sequel, Another Sunken Anchor. The whole point of that book is to cover what happened between the last chapter and the Epilogue of UTTK, with plenty of flashbacks to boot. It heavily covers Livvy’s journey in finding herself now that she helped Harry find himself.

24)" I was reading the first chapters of Sunken Archor ( sequel) and I was like WHERE'S THE BABY? And then you clarified that they lost it.... WHY WOULD THEY LOSE IT?"

Lol — I get that question a lot. She had a miscarriage, mostly due to trauma. And it’s important to the plot, mostly because I wanted to talk about postpartum depression and miscarriage and how it changes a person. And I wanted them to have a sufficient challenge in their relationship. It doesn’t go from a sham wedding to rainbows and butterflies. They have some serious things to work through, which are important if they’ll ever be together for life the way their love seems it ought to be.

26) "Any spoilers for future plans?"

Well, the epilogue is a good spoiler in that it shows you they get through it, but there’s a lot of ups and downs for Livvy personally, as well as Harry.

27) " Choose- 'challenge' two writers that you want to know about to do this interview like you."

Hmmm! You got a lot of my favorite authors in here already, but I’ve got some suggestions for people who aren’t in here yet. #1: @aggressivelyfriendly (my boo boo!) and @lunaxxstyles because I’m really curious to know her as a person.
