1) "Name?"

Well on Wattpad my name is Luna so I’ll stick with that :)

2) "Age?"

Just turned 18 in July!

3)" What are your hobbies?"

I play a couple instruments, mostly the guitar and the piano. Honestly music is such an important part of my life, hence my obsession with Harry, so listening to music is a great hobby. Obviously, writing is also one of my favourite hobbies.

4) "When did you start writing and why?"

I think I started getting interested in writing when I was quite small. I remember I had some short story published in my schools newspaper when I was in 4th grade or something like that. I enjoyed writing essays and that sort of thing for class and my teachers always said I had a great ‘voice’ and all that. I didn’t get into actual fiction and creative writing until I was about 13 and I wrote my first book, if you could call it that.

Writing was never really in the forefront of my mind before I discovered One Direction. I took the path that most fans take and started reading books on Wattpad and all that. I guess the idea of creating your very own world where you could make whatever you want happen just sounded super appealing, so I decided to start doing it myself. It ended up just being really fun and I loved rereading everything I wrote so I could pretend I was living it.

5) "Which was your first story generally?"

So I wrote my first story in 8th grade right after I became a fan, which was 2015. My favourite back then was Liam, so I wrote this horrible fanfic about Liam and the boys meeting a character which was essentially me. It was a full book but I don’t think I ever gave it a name. It was just written so awfully and the plot was TERRIBLE.

6) "Do you write in some other website except Wattpad?"

I’ve never really branched out to other sites before. I always felt like Wattpad was the easiest to use so I stuck with it. I know one of my friends who also writes used One Direction Fanfiction but I could never be bothered.

7) "What has given you motive to keep on writing?"

I just think that being able to create a world that conforms completely to the parameters you set yourself is so cool. Fanfiction is really neat that way and I think it helps fans feel closer to whoever they like. After I finished my first book and started my second, not only did the fact that it was about Harry motivate me, but I also started to get really invested in the individual characters I was writing and their storylines. I also love, love, love hearing from people who read my books and getting to know what they think about the story and the characters. If I can make someone feel any emotions at all with my writing it’s 100% worth it to me.

8 )"Have you ever wanted to give up everything? (writing I mean)"

I mean there have been a couple times when I’ve been stuck plot wise in the middle of a story and I can’t think of something exciting to propel the plot. It gets tough to sort out the logistics and stuff in your head, but I always seem to figure it out if I’m passionate enough about the story in general. If work gets in the way it’s tough to find time to write, but I’ve never ever thought of giving up writing as a whole. It’s sort of therapeutic and my guilty pleasure, so I break out my stories whenever I feel like I need a break.

9) "Which is your favorite story on Wattpad?"

I know this is super cliche but I started off with After before I even started writing. I know that there are some problems with it as other people have pointed out and the movie was god-awful, but I think it’s really special to me because it was the first book I ever read that made me feel really strongly (like crying and getting angry, that sort of thing). I got super attached to the characters and I was super passionate and it got me interested in writing. Besides that one, I really enjoyed the 1789 fan fiction by everlasts. I think it was written super well and I’m a sucker for historical AU’s.

10) "Have you gained any friendship from Wattpad? If yes, which are your Wattpad friends?"

I wouldn’t say that I’ve gotten super close with other writers on Wattpad, although I’d really like to in the future! I usually use the site as a way to upload chapters to my book and respond to comments but that’s about it. I don’t really use it as a social media site for talking to people. But I think I’m missing out and I’d really like to meet people who also write and read like me. In real life I did make a couple friends cause they enjoyed some of the stuff I was writing (they were One Direction fans too, obviously).

11) "Do you relate with any of your characters from your books? If yes, which one and which characteristics are similar?"

Honestly, the character Charlotte in the first book I uploaded (The Bachelor), is completely based off of me. I started writing it in 9th grade and when you’re that young it’s sort of hard to create characters that are completely different from yourself. Anyway, I wanted to kind of write it like I was the one with Harry in the story (who doesn’t!?). Like she looked like me and she lived in the same places I did and she kind of acted like I wanted to act, that sort of thing.

In my second book, I didn’t actually base the main character (Rosy) off of me or anything. I wanted to try and make her different. I would say the way she’s emotionally kind of closed off and reserved is similar to me, but everything else is designed in a way to be unique and independent.

12) "What did you study /are you studying/do you want to study?"

Right now I’m starting university for Political Science in Toronto. I’m hoping to go into government or something like that, but I’m not exactly sure what the future holds.

13)" Describe yourself in 3 words."

I would say sarcastic, kind, and a little reserved I guess?

14) "What do you advise new writers?"

Honestly my main tip is just to practice as much as possible. When I first started writing it was absolutely terrible. The grammar and writing style was terrible and super unprofessional. My characters were not developed at all over the story and the plot was almost unreadable. After I started writing all the time I slowly started to improve bit by bit. Reading other books and other author’s writing also helped me to improve by a lot.

I’d also say for anyone struggling with writers block or that sort of thing, don’t try to force it. When you’re in the right mindset, good things will happen. If not, just wait for the moment to come. That’s what I usually do at least. I guess that’s why it takes me so long to write my books :)

15)" Questions based on ' Her Majesty's Secret Service': How were you inspired to write this story?"

So the idea for a mission/spy type book came to me right as I was finishing The Bachelor. At the time I was really into James Bond and Mission Impossible and that sort of thing. I also thought Harry as a spy would be pretty hot. I thought with all the action sequences it would be super interesting to write and read, so the plot came to me pretty quickly! Also I’ve always been a huge fan of the hate to love sort of arch, so I was happy to slip that in cause it was so different to what I wrote in The Bachelor.

16)" Who's your favourite character in the book and why? "

I mean I’d really like to say Harry. I’ve given him his own personality that’s completely different to Harry’s in real life and I like the way he was hard in the beginning and he’s starting to show sort of a softer side. I’ve always been a sucker for the closed off characters slowly starting to show emotion so I think his character arch is going really well.

17)" Have you decided the end of the book? "

I do have the end of the book planned out! I know how it’s going to end as of now and I’m pretty excited to write it. When I first started the book I had a vague idea of what I wanted to happen, but I didn’t get down all the details of the ending until about a month or two ago.

18)"If you were asked to publish your book , would you do it?"

If people enjoyed it so much that I was asked to publish, I definitely think I would. Although I think that a lot of the plot is kind of stolen from other stories that already exist, sort of like a frankensteins monster of a spy book, so I don’t know how entertaining or interesting it would be as a published book to someone who’s not a fan of Harry. Either way, I’d love for more people to be able to read my writing so I could improve and get feedback, that sort of thing.

19)"Which is your favourite a) funny, b) dramatic, c) romantic, d) sad scene in the book, until now?"

My favourite funny scene must be either of the times Harry and Rosy were stitching up each other’s legs. It’s back when they still hated each other and both of them were kind of sniping at each other. That kind of back and forth was always super funny and great to write.

I think a good dramatic scene is the part where Rosy is trying to get down to Harry after they’ve been set up on one of their missions and he’s about to be pushed into the pool. You can kind of see the urgency she feels to save him and the fact that he was terrified made it very dramatic. I think it’s the perfect kind of drama for the plot cause she was willing to give up her mission to save him, which obviously starts to show true feelings

The most romantic scene must be when Harry tells Rosy he doesn’t want to share. I know it’s not a grand gesture or anything, but personally I’ve never really liked grand gestures or anything super sappy. It was cute and simple the way he said it, but I think it meant a lot so it was good.

I think a good sad scene is the one where Harry tells Rosy about his past and why he’s so afraid of the water. It gives you a peak into his personality and also makes people sympathize a little bit more. I think it was good for pulling at the heart strings a little.

20) " A phrase or a scene that you write and you'll never forget.(and why)"

In Her Majesty’s Secret Service I think one scene that was really important to me was the part where Harry had just discovered the secret room while they were playing capture the flag and they ended up shooting each other. I’m not sure why it sticks out so much, but I think it was the first time I felt as though I had come up with a plot point that was dramatic and shocking and just read super well. I also like the consequences of the actual scene and the repercussions they have later on in the book. I just really enjoyed writing it and I thought it was a great part of the story.

21) " How much time did it take to plan the whole plot? Are we near the end?"

I was so passionate about starting this book in particular that I wrote the outline for about 3/4 of the story in one sitting. I was hazy on the ending and the details back then so I left it for later. If I added up all the time I took to plan the plot and all the details, I would say only 3 or 4 hours?

22)" How many unpublished and half-finished books do you have?"

I have maybe 3 or 4 half-finished books that are really bad. They’re mostly for my own enjoyment so I can go back and read them later and that sort of thing. I haven’t really written a whole story that’s just sitting unpublished. Usually one I’m really excited about something, I’ll post it.

23) "Any spoilers for future plans?"

At the moment, I really don’t have any spoilers to share. Right now I’m focused on getting On Her Majesty’s Secret Service finished before the end of the year, and probably before that. I just started university, so I’ll try my best. Other than that, nothing else has been in the making recently.

24)" The base is actually for M16 training and just bad guys have taken over it or it's something completely different?"

I mean I don’t want to give away too much of the ending of the book cause it’s unfinished. I guess it’s a little more complicated than bad guys just taking over an MI6 base.

25) " Where is Andrew? Is he with the good ones or with the bad ones?"

I think it’s safe to say that Andrew is on the good side. I didn’t intend to ever write him in as an antagonist.

CRITICAL QUESTIONS

1) " If the all the States in the USA were represented by food, what food would each state be represented by?"

I’ll be honest, I really don’t know anything about the United States or know any of the states off by heart.

I will say that I usually associate California with avocado’s cause that’s where all the hipster vegan people are I think.

Chicken represents Texas cause of the fast food chain Texas Chicken and

I think of Pizza when I think of New York? But only New York city, I don’t know anything about the actual state. The only other state I can think of off the top of my mind is Florida, and I have no idea what food they eat down there. Maybe popsicles or icecream?

2) "What would some fairy tales be like if they took place in the present and included modern technology and culture?"

I mean I think they would focus less on the whole ‘damsel in distress’ narrative and focus on independent adventures and actions. The antagonists would definitely be more political than they used to be. Instead of dragons and ogres it would most likely be the government and the sort of thing, sort of like 1984.

Thank you so much LunaxxStyles!!❤❤

All the love,
