@ashesofinfinity
1) "Name?"
Rashee.
2) "Age?"
17.
3)" What are your hobbies?"
I love writing (obviously), reading and singing (although I have a terrible voice).
4) "When did you start writing and why?"
You could say that I started writing when I was 15 because that's when writing became my passion, but my first poem dates back to when I was 12-13. I couldn't write properly after that for two years due to lack of inspiration and vocabulary. But then I found Wattpad and reading here helped me with my writing.
5) "Which was your first story generally?"
It was a poetry collection. It's not published now cause it isn't good but it was the beginning of everything. It was called "Walk to the dead" (CRINGE).
6) "Do you write in some other website except Wattpad?"
I do write on Instagram if that counts. And above all of this, I write on my own website/blog.
7) "What has given you motive to keep on writing?"
That would be myself. No other source could inspire me as much as to make me keep writing, through thick and thin. It was my own selfish motive of releasing my emotions that keeps fueling me to write. But also there are my readers. They are amazing and so dedicated. They are one of the reasons why I keep improving myself.
8 )"Have you ever wanted to give up everything? (writing I mean)"
Not that I remember of. I'd never felt that suffocation with writing. I write when I want. And sometimes I go around not writing anything for months but I'd never completely gave up on the thought of writing again.
9) "Which is your favorite story on Wattpad?"
I have a whole reading list of my favorites. It includes "Twelve ways to spend one's Christmas Eve", "Natalie's Diary", "The good girl's bad boys", "Take me home", "Confessions about Colton", "How to fall in love" etc. You can search there.
10) "Have you gained any friendship from Wattpad? If yes, which are your Wattpad friends?"
I don't have many. I don't know if I can call them friends or not since I don't know if we're all on the same page or not.
11) "Do you relate with any of your characters from your books? If yes, which one and which characteristics are similar?"
Um... Almost all the poems of my books are relatable to me because I wrote them from experience so like... Yeah. I think they all share a common characteristic of feeling of being caged or pushed around. That's something that a lot of people feel including me.
12) "What did you study /are you studying/do you want to study?"
I'm currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Biology.
13)" Describe yourself in 3 words."
Creative, Loyal and Honest.
14) "What do you advise new writers?"
To be honest, everybody has different work environments. My advising them to "keep writing" might not work on them if they like to take time with writing. My advising them to "read" might not work on them if they don't like reading. So the most basic advice; do whatever the heart says.
15)" Questions based on ' Dear To You': How were you inspired to write this story or a poem book?"
My readers! I saw in my comment section how so many say that they feel vulnerable or tired of things and I wanted to inspire them even in the smallest amount. In hindsight, I got inspired by other's works to write my own, so maybe I could help others write something. That would be such a huge honor!
16) " The poems are easy to read but difficult to understand, at least for someone that doesn't really read poetry. What is the emotion of each poem? All of them are a part of the same story? And they try to explain the feelings of the main character or something?"
First I would like to apologize, in case anybody didn't understand my poems. Second, that's something every reader would ask. And I would say "yes and no". In a way, I wanted the book to be about self-love. To be about accepting yourself. I don't know if the story would lead there. The story hasn't taken its shape yet since I never plan my books before. I am indeed a Pantser. This book is gonna be a long one. But yes, it's explaining the feelings of the main characters, but no, it's not the part of the same story. It's like a mixtape of a city. Thousands of different stories, thousands of characters, thousand feelings but in the same world.
17) " Choose your favourite of them and analyse it. What were you feeling while writing it? What was that thing that made you say that this poem had to be written?"
I'd say I love the 3rd chapter the most. The imagery in that was beautiful to me. It felt real. While writing it, I must have been sitting in my house thinking about how winter would look in NYC. The poetry is all about details. The choir scene in it is my favorite.
18)" How many unpublished and half-finished books do you have?"
I have around 9 which includes A LOT of novels that I couldn't complete.
19) "Any spoilers for future plans?"
I MIGHT be leaving Wattpad :(
20) " Choose- 'challenge' one writer that you want to know about to do this interview like you."
Hmm... @QuillAtDusk
CRITICAL QUESTIONS
1) " What would some fairy tales be like if they took place in the present and included modern technology and culture?"
Lol.
-Cinderella would have ran out of her house away from her step family to go live in the big city and become a stripper.
-Ariel would have already been extinct before prince Eric could find her.
-In "The ant and the grasshopper", the grasshopper would have actually gotten everything he wanted because he had the looks for it.
-In "Alice in Wonderland", Alice would have told everyone about the rabbit hole and media and scientists would have seized the place to do an experiment on the Cheshire cat and study her genetic combination.
I think that's enough to traumatize the kids.
2) "What is something that is really popular now, but in 5 years everyone will look back on and be embarrassed by?"
Probably the memes they make over animal extinction or climate change. When after 5 years they'd look back on it, they'd realize that instead of making fun of it, they could have done something. On an un-serious note, I hope tiktok videos.
Thank you so much ashesofinfinity !!❤❤
All the love,
