No one's POV

After meeting with Najenda and Bulat and learning about the revolutionary armies goal to create a harmonious world where people could be happy, Akame had decided to betrayed the empire. She left Najenda and Bulat, along with Najenda's assistant, Lubbock, Akame traveled back to the Empire and reported back to Gozuki about her failure of her assassination mission.

Gozuki, the Father of the Elite Seven was clearly disappointed in Akame, but he ultimately gave her another chance, due to how successful she is in the last few missions. However, Gozuki started to feel suspicious of his own daughter due to Akame whom is always suspicious of the Empire's activities lately. A few days would pass and during one of their Danger Beast hunt, Akame managed to sneak off her group and meet up with one of Najenda's spy in the Capital's slums, Leone.

The two of them would then discuss Akame's escape plan, where Akame would only be able to bring the people that she could, which was affectionately her younger sister. Not only that, during the night she managed to sneak inside Bill's office only to find out about the medicine that her little sister had been doping was shortening her own lifespan. Due to this information she decided to kill Bill and his underlings. However, her movement was found by Gozuki so she decided to flee.

Akame: Kurome!

Akame came inside her room where Kurome was in a hurry.

Kurome: What's the matter, sis? You look pale. Sis?

At first Kurome was surprised that Akame had suddenly hugged her, only for her conscious to suddenly turned blur. Akame had hit her neck to render her unconscious.

Akame: I'm taking you with me even if I have to carry you myself.

After securing her sister, Akame was now on the run away from the Capital. Sadly for her, luck wasn't on her side. Despite her preparations on making her escape route, Gozuki was able to caught up to her in the forest near the mountain where she would make her getaway.

Gozuki: I've got you now, Akame.

Akame: !!

Gozuki: I figured you'd bolt quickly. Good job making it this far.

Coming to a halt, with Kurome still unconscious on her back, Akame turned around to face Gozuki. Gozuki being the father he is tried to convince Akame to come back, using Poney and Natala as leverage, but sadly for him Akame's heart had already made her choice. Laying Kurome gently down onto the ground, she faces Gozuki once more and unsheathed her katana.

Gozuki: Oh! Let me guess. You want a fight to the death with your old man? My darling daughter. I'm still willing to forgive you if you change your mind now.

Gozuki was hoping his taunt would agitate her to throw Akame off her game, however he just made her resolve even more strong since she immediately switched into her Killer Mode.

Akame: If we keep talking, the others will catch up to us. Before that happens, Father...I'm going to bury you.

Seeing that his plan had backfired on him instead, he scratched his head in annoyance, drawing his Murasame, before switching to his own Killer mode too

Gozuki: You've had plenty of chances to reform your attitudes, but now it's come to this. You're not my daughter anymore. You are nothing to me. I'm going to finish you off.

The battle between parent and child could no longer be avoided. Though the fight had began, the two assassins hadn't made a single move. Akame knew she need to be warry of Murasame since she could die instantly with the slightest nick. Not only that, she needs to be warry about her Father's entire body that could expand and contract at will. If she died here, all her preparation would be for naught. While she knew she couldn't be careless in the battle, she couldn't let the fight drag on. Should she do so, the reinforcements that Gozuki had called in would catch up and would most likely execute her.

Akame: I was able to make it this far because I also have friends with me.

Gozuki: Oh?

Akame: Leone!

Gozuki: ?!

Gozuki immediately looked back in search for Akame's friend. Taking her chance by Gozuki's distraction, Akame sped forward. However, Gozuki knew it was a fake out in order to catch him by surprised. He extended his nail on his right leg in order to claw her down, but he was surprised by the girl's speed, Akame zipping past his nails and landing a cut on his lower chest.

Gozuki: What?!

Akame(mind): I got him...!!

Akame hadn't missed Gozuki positioning himself in a way that would facilitate an attack with his nails. And Akame had purposely made her trap come off as obvious. She knew Gozuki would see right through it and choose that moment to attack. The assailing nails would extend in the direction of his foot. So once she knew that, she charged him, avoiding their trajectory. Gozuki clicked his tongue in annoyance, using his hair as weapons as he had them engage the girl, the ravenette had jumped backwards.

Gozuki: I was wrong to think...you're no longer my daughter... that attack you made just now was something you could only do because you're my child and knew me so well...!

Akame: I'm going to put you in the ground.

Gozuki: You can't beat me, Akameee!

As the leader of the Rakshasa Demon, Gozuki had extended his entire right hand. He swirl his hand around the place as he tries to slice her with Murasame. Akame raised her own katana to blocked Gozuki's strikes, however Gozuki's strikes was enough to cracks in her own sword. The Shingu were created to be just as powerful as the Teigu, but they never reached that capacity, so in short, the Shingu were much weaker.

Seeing the crack on her own sword, Akame knew she couldn't waste anymore time and need to struck Gozuki down with one strike. Of course her father could tell that as well, he once again extended his hair as they all came at once as they plunged themselves into the ground towards Akame like a drill. However Akame was known to be the second fastest in the team next to Ryu for nothing as she dodged all of the attack towards her.

Akame: !

However while she was focusing on dealing with Murasame and Gozuki's hair she didn't realized the other oncoming attack. Gozuki had stretched his left foot kicking Akame right on the left abdomen.

It was a direct hit that sent further into the forest and crashing into a tree. The initial impact caused blood to come out of her mouth, splattering onto the dirt. However, Akame was resilient, due to her training with Gozuki, so she was able to recover quickly and jump to the nearest tree branch. She begins to flee further into the forest.

Gozuki(mind): She's planning on going into the woods!

Gozuki of course wouldn't let Akame escape him that easily, so he decided to gave a chase. He jumped towards the same tree branch that Akame had used to escape only for him to find Akame standing on the side of the three branch preparing her attack.

Gozuki: !

Using his surprised as an advantage, Akame kick off the tree branch with tremendous force that it actually made a dent on the branch. The parent and child met in their final clash.

Akame:...

Gozuki:...

Despite being their father, Gozuki had once again underestimated Akame's speed to be far superior than his. As they clash, Akame was able to make another cut on his left abdomen, blocking Gozuki's last strike with Murasame. But in turn, her Shingu shattered, no longer making it usable.

Akame's strike was lethal to render him useless. As a final gamble, Gozuki tried to take Akame down with him. He extended his tongue to try and strangle her, but sadly for him the length was too short to reach her. The two latter landed on the ground with Akame's back on a tree kneeling on the ground while Gozuki landed flat on the ground in a pool of his own blood.

Gozuki: I'm impressed you chose to rush me rather than run away...

Akame: I didn't die when you kicked me. Which told me my first strike cut deep...

Gozuki: So you figured as long as you watched out for the sword, you could survive one hit... That was a risky bet... Koff!

Akame: !

Gozuki: A human who's trained many years... at the temple of the imperial fist... is tough. I won't die...guh...! So easily.

Gozuki was severely weakened, him leaning up against a tree. It was quite obvious to Akame that her last strike with her Shingu wouldn't kill him, so she looked her last option. Which was her Father's Murasame.

Akame: You will if I use this sword...

Gozuki:...True. Even I would die instantly.

Showing no time at all, Akame stabs it into Gozuki's chest. Murasame's poison kicks in instantly and Gozuki's life would end in a few seconds, but not before letting Akame off with one last piece of advice.

Gozuki: This Teigu possesses a trump card...it involves discarding one's humanity. I was never able to activate it, but you...might just be able to.

Gozuki closed his eyes accepting his death. A fitting end for an assassin. He then succumbs to the poison, dying with a smile on his face. In his final thoughts, he dreamed of the Elite Seven as children, all of them extending their hands out to him.

Gozuki(mind): Huh? Wait. Why am I seeing this?

Although he never deserved to see this in his dying moments, putting them through a harsh and horrifying ordeal, a father is still a father when all's said and done. Akame look at him with a face filled with nothing but grateful.

Akame: Goodbye, father.

Seeing her face for one last time, Gozuki was surprised himself that he feels so happy. Finally giving in to the posion, Gozuki, the father of the elite seven die with a smile on his face.

Akame:...

Heading back to the clearing, Akame picked up Kurome's unconscious form. But she stopped when she heard running footsteps and voices. The Empire's reinforcements had caught up to them. So she began to run further into the forest and heading towards the mountains. But due to her injuries with her fight against Gozuki, this slowed her down.

Coming out of the forest, she came across a gap, hearing running water below. Her current way of escape with Kurome was to jump into the river, she wasn't able to. A shot rang through the air, the ravenette having a bullet wound to the side of her abdomen, her dropping Kurome to the ground. Behind her was a gunmen with several Imperial grunts heading her way. She swiftly cut them down, the rest of the Imperial reinforcements Akame has Murasame in her possession.

Now that close range was no longer an option, more gunmen arrived and began unleashing bullets upon her. Akame couldn't block all of the shots, the ones weren't blocked giving her bullet wounds near her abdomen.

Akame(mind): I still have to get my sister...

Akame: KUROMEEE!!!!!!

Due to this, she was being pushed back and fell into the river, leaving Kurome to the hands of the Empire. Minutes later, Poney had arrived on the scene, standing over a dead Gozuki. She crouched down and begun weeping tears for her dead father.

Imperial Soldier: Hey. Hurry up and help track down Akame! You need to avenge your comrades. She was injured, so she can't be far. We just need to find her.

Poney: I've lost everyone...why would Akame do this!?

Imperial Soldier: I already told you! Because she's a traitor!

Poney(mind): I don't understand how Akame could kill Daddy. Nothing's making any sense. Is she being manipulated by the enemy?! Should I fight Akame?! If only the chief...if only Najasho or Ryu were here.

Imperial Assassin: Poney. Aren't you going to get up? Can you not do the mission?

The auburn-haired girl froze. The person talking to her will kill her should she be unable to continue.

Poney(mind): He's going to shoot me if I don't move.

Imperial soldier: Wha-?!

Poney: !!

Before she could preserve one had happened, the three imperial soldiers that were behind her were now dead with their head cut off. Standing behind her was a man that instantly brought her so much fear. She saw a man wearing an entire set of black clothing with a skull mask. A set of cloths there are also tinges of red sewn in throughout the clothing.

Poney: Huh...?

At first she was terrified at the visitor, but her fear immediately dissuade when she saw the katana the boy was wielding. It look exactly like a certain boy she knew. With a quiet and a trembling voice she asked:

Poney: Ryu... Is that you...?

The man in the black cloak open his hood and his mask and tears started to stream on Poney's face. With a quiet voice, Ryu smile.

Ryu: Hey, Poney.

Poney: Your alive!

The surprise in her voice was obvious. Her hand started twitching and her. She ran towards him and brings him into a backbreaking hug. The latter didn't say anything and accepted her embrace.

Poney: I-I thought...

Ryu: I would've died, if I didn't receive help. But that's not important right now.

He slowly push Poney away from him. He could still see the tears on her face.

Poney: Ryu, what is going on? Akame betrayed the empire. Everything doesn't make sense anymore. I don't know what to do.

Ryu listen all to Poney's complained without the slightest panic. He instead gently wipe her tears away.

Ryu: Leave.

Poney: Eh?

Ryu: Leave the empire for good. Head towards the only man you love.

He took out a map out of his back pocket and handed them towards Poney. Inside was area she didn't even know about as Ryu smiled.

Ryu: Najasho went west, far enough where we couldn't track him. At least, without some strings attached. You should probably find him at the continent of Kuja.

Poney: W-Wait! Aren't you coming with me?

Ryu: My fight is not over. Until then, I can't come with you.

Poney: T-Then, let me fight with you?

Ryu: You don't know what you are fighting for anymore, don't you?

Poney: !

Poney was surprise by how right Ryu is. In fact she just now told him that she didn't know what to do anymore. Ryu once again smiled at her and gave her one last hug much to her surprise.

Ryu: Poney... No matter how far we are apart, it doesn't change the fact that we are a family. Even if I'm not with you, our heart is always together, and I'm sure one day, you me, Najasho, and Akame will go back to being family.

Poney: Ryu... I...

Ryu: Go.

With tears on her eyes, Poney left Ryu all alone. Poney's new mission was to search for Najasho, him heading westward as the blonde was determined to head that far in that direction. Ryu look down by the river, where Akame might be. He saw a trail of blood and a sent of a lion. He knew right away it was Leone. Knowing that she had found Akame, Ryu breath a sigh of relief as he went on his own mission. Akame would eventually be found by Leone and later taken to a small hut in the forest to be tended to her wounds.
