The battle at the GraveKeepers hideout rages on. Akame was currently facing off against the leader of the GraveKeepers named Weneg. Weneg is currently pissed off since standing next to Akame was none other than Ryu whom he failed to kill. And because of that, his ability was exposed. But then, his irritation was replaced by grin instead.

Weneg: You say you have a means...to defeat me? Very interesting. It's been a long time since someone's threatened me with that. Let's see what you've got then!

Weneg elongated his nails slightly, making them razor sharp. He then lunge himself forward for an attack while grinned wickedly. But, thanks to her training, Akame had sharp senses. Not only that, she was quite speed, matching the Elite Seven number 2's own speed.

Dodging his attack, she slashes Weneg's chest, him letting out a grunt. He then started to inhale the air around him, sucking it in before he lets it all out, a blast of fire leaving his mouth.

Weneg: What's the matter? That was only a scratch!!

Seeing the giant flames, Akame dodge the oncoming attack thanks to her quick feet. Her sense was as high as it could be, watching Weneg intently as she kept dodging each fire blast from him.

Weneg(mind): I'll keep spouting fire until you're nothing but ashes!

Kurome: Sister! You can do it!

Akame: !

Hearing Kurome's words of encouragement gave Akame strength. She then came to a halt, moving her body to the side as a fire blast went past her. Dashing forward with quick speeds, Akame slashes Weneg's arm, him raising it for defense. But it did nothing as the cut was already inflicted upon him.

Weneg: Hrm?! Where did that strength come from...?

Akame: My little sister cheered me on!

Akame said while panting.

Weneg: So that's the reason. Your youth actually worked to your advantage. But no matter how much you cut me, it's no use.

Ryu: Your overconfidence will be your own downfall.

Ryu said as he continue to watch the match without showing any signs of aiding Akame. In fact, he was currently on guard to make sure that no one, whether it'd be his teammates or other GraveKeepers, interferes on this duels. Since he know all too well about Akame's strength. Weneg then looked towards Ryu and was intrigued by his words.

Weneg: What are you talking about? I'll heal from a shallow flesh wound like this in no time...

Weneg glances down to where Akame had cut his arm. Much to his surprise, the cut hadn't healed and was dripping blood.

Weneg(mind): Huh? The cut's not healing?! It can't be!

Akame: Here I come!

Akame once again rushed forwards with incredible speeds and she was already in front of Weneg, preparing to draw her Katana Shingu. But Weneg grinned in response, thinking he had the upper hand.

Weneg: Then take this! The damage you inflict on me will come right back at you!

Black marking started to appear on the center of his stomach. The same marking that had taken Gai out. And true to his words, as soon as Akame slashed his stomach, Akame felt a huge pain in her stomach area as well. Akame skids back, sending a glare towards Weneg.

Weneg: You cut your own throat!

Akame: It's only a graze. Even if you throw it right back at me, it won't do much!

Akame(mind): Just as I thought. Even though my ability makes it so that the wound never heals, it looks like that one feature isn't included in the return. Only the damage itself is inflicted upon me.

Akame: So I can do this!

Akame's Shingu, Kirichimonji, made it so that any wound inflicted upon by it's blade can never be healed. So the target can never heal their injuries and will eventually bleed out. That was Akame's strategy. And the same thing crossed onto Ryu's mind as well. Since he couldn't do a single thing, he could only rely on Akame's Shingu. She had dashed towards Weneg and began to thrust her blade forward, rapidly. Akame began making small cuts everywhere on his body. Fearing the worst, Weneg gritted his teeth.

Weneg: So your strategy is to cut me little by little until I die. That steady process will come right back at you!

Each slash she made on Weneg, the same marking will appear on her body and the same cut would appear where she slashed. Whether it was Weneg's arms or legs, cuts would appear there as well. But she didn't let up, Akame continuing her slashing as yelled to the top of her lungs, using all her strength for powerful slashes.

Akame: Haaaaaaaah!

Weneg: Guh...! You little she devil!

Weneg was getting pretty desperate, his strikes were also getting sloppy, due to that reason that his attacks would never hit Akame. She was quicker than him in both dodging and inflicting damage. Studying the fight between Green and Ryu had taught her things of Weneg, in turn having her come up with a plan to potentially kill him.

Akame: Rest in pieces!

Weneg(mind): I'll use your own power against you! I'm the stronger of the two of us! I'll let you cut me deep so you can feel it that much more!

And so the two dashed at each other, Akame bringing her sword's blade to Weneg's neck. Weneg grin since that was part of his plan for allowing his neck to be cut, but was shock when Akame stopped her attack inches away from his neck.

Weneg(mind): She stopped...?!

Seeing this made Weneg flinch even for a second. Akame took this chance to slash Weneg's chest where there is no black marking on it. And since there wasn't any marking, Akame's own attack didn't get reflected. It's when Weneg knew, he was in deep trouble. Akame's reactions time was on par with Ryu's.

Weneg(mind): First was that boy and now her. She has a natural gift for taking a life.

(Timeskip)

The fight continued on, Weneg still unable to land hits on her. Blood was all over the walls, the leader of the Gravekeeper out of breath.

Weneg(mind):.....She took so much out of me.. halfway through the fight, I stopped being able to return the damage...

Weneg: Ugh...

The leader of the Gravekeepers lets out a dry laugh, him falling over. Ryu and Akame gasp in surprise. The rest of the Gravekeepers were surprised as well. As this happened, they were all being killed by Natala, Gin, and Kurome. After killing one, Kurome hopped down from where she was and was running towards her older sister, a smile on her face.

Green: Me and Ryu will keep an eye on the fallen enemy, Akame.

Akame:...

Ryu: Yeah...you go on and be with your sister. You've been waiting for her for a long time, right? Go on.

Akame return the smile at them.

Akame: Thank you... both of you.

Nodding to the two boys, she ran off towards her sister. Both of them had smiles as they embraced each other, Green and Ryu watching with smiles as well.

Kurome: Big Sis!!

Akame: Kurome!! Oh, Kurome... I've missed you.

Kurome: Me, too...I've missed this whole time...

Then she looked towards the wound and said in a worried tone.

Kurome: Sis...are you gonna be okay?

Akame could only gave a sheepish smile.

Akame: The pain's enough to make me faint...

Kurome: Huh?!

Akame: Or, at least it was. Now that I'm with you, the pain's all gone. I'll be fine.

Kurome: Sis.

Seeing their interaction, Ryu could only smile as well, remembering something similar.

???: Big Bro! We'll always be together, right?

Ryu: Yeah. Always together.

Ryu recall towards the day where he was force to part ways with his younger sister. And that memories was still as strong as ever. Seeing Akame and Kurome together like this, Ryu could only looked down in sadness.

Weneg: So you were my bride's older sister...no wonder you were so strong.

Akame: Bride...?

Kurome: He proposed to me.

Akame: I see. You're so cute, I can't blame him.

Akame then glare at Weneg.

Akame: But I'll never forgive you for trying to get with my Kurome.

Ryu: -_-

Green:... Akame, you're not acting like yourself.

Weneg: I'm the one who won't forgive you. We Gravekeepers kill any who meddle with the tomb. Besides that, we've lived in peaceful solitude...and yet, the Empire barges in here for the treasures that slumber within...'

Ryu(mind): Again...? It's the same thing again...

Ryu was getting more and more doubtful. Every mission, every assassination. All of his victims were saying the same thing. The Empire is Corrupted.

Akame: It's the other way around. You guys didn't have enough offerings, so you stole from the Empire.

Weneg: So that's what they're telling their soldiers, is it? We are the ones being robbed.

Ryu: Doesn't matter whether what you say is true or not. You kidnap our allies. There was more than enough to make you our enemies.

Weneg then looked at Ryu. It was then he noticed the monstrous gauntlet in Ryu's sideways belt.

Seeing this he grin.

Weneg: So you have even taken my most price treasure?

Ryu: You mean this gauntlet? Well one of your pals took my Gun, so in return I'll took something from yours as well.

Weneg: Doesn't matter whether you have it or not. Since none of us GraveKeepers were able to use it. But beware! Those who've worn those gauntlet, can never return back to being humans!

Ryu:...

Ryu once again thought about the huge wave of dark energy from the gauntlet. His mind was brought back towards the huge shadow vampire that engulfs him. He was about to ask about this gauntlet, but Gin interrupted him.

Gin: That squid guy said the same thing before he died. Accused us of being the ones who pillaged them. So their stories match up, huh? But why would we ever believe you guys? You put us through hell.

Gin then suddenly showed up after pursuing one of the GraveKeepers and she told her team about what he had told her.

Weneg: Then look into it yourselves. You'll realize the Empire's been lying soon enough. Assuming you get out of here alive...of course. This place is crawling with Gravekeepers. They'll crush you by sheer numbers alone. They'll swarm this room soon enough.

Gravekeepers: Boss..

Weneg: There you are...now get them--

Suddenly, the Gravekeepers that were coming fell off the ground, on their back was a huge gash. Looks like someone had already dealt a huge blow that it was practically a miracle that they managed to get this far just to gave a message. One of them had their upper body crawling towards Akame and the others.

Gravekeeper: The enemy's reinforcements are too strong...we're...we're done for...

Weneg:.....What?

(Elsewhere)

On the surface... An icy blue-haired woman grinned to herself as she crossed her arms under chest. Behind her, many Gravekeepers were either buried alive, or encased in ice.

???: That was a pretty entertaining fight. It made taking on all those Danger Beasts and coming here on my own worth it.
