Chapter 7- Cabin Everblaze
(Original chapter and concept by GhostOblivion , edited, revised, and posted by NephaliMations)
I watched as everyone split off, walking to their own cabins in excitement. I hadn't fully gotten used to being the tall hybrid beast that I had created with Oblivion. My hand reached to my side to find Nighty Night. My- no, sorry, Oblivions trusted axe. I just decided I would accept the fact that I was Oblivion. I felt a dull ache in my left wrist, not caring too much. I decided I would check anyway. I slowly unwrapped the gauze that covered my arm, and as I pulled it back I gasped in surprise.
"But- this shouldn't happen-." I whispered quietly.
I heard footsteps approach me from behind and I swiftly turned on my heels, smacking Hunter Socks in the face with my long dragon-like tail. He rubbed his face with his disfigured hands.
"Oops my bad, still not used to this you know?"
I chuckled awkwardly after a spoke. The half-zombie Socks agreed,
"Uh.. sure."
He paused, then asked me,
"I heard you say 'This shouldn't happen,' what the heck does that mean?"
I breathed in sharply and spat out,
"Uh- don't worry about it."
In the OblivionteaSMP back in the real world Oblivion had been bitten by a Phantom, turning herself part phantom in turn. I would need to figure out the connection. As that same bite resignated on my arm, it was already slowly turning a purplish-black, like a terrible bruise. I didn't want to, but I lied,
"It's a long story and I'm tired."
He nodded as if he understood. I could see he was tired too, guilt resonated in his eyes. I couldn't blame him. He had introduced himself to us by attacking Rainbow.
"Let's go to the cabin."
He gestured for me to follow, and I slowly walked behind him. I wasn't used to my long legs, my hair bouncing, my tail dragging in the dirt. We arrived at the cabin and I realized it suited my height perfectly. The building itself was almost ten feet high. A foot higher than I was. He opened the door and I walked in behind him. The building itself had Black painted walls and a red carpet. One wall seemed empty and a line of bunk beds pushed up against the other wall. I smiled as I thought,
Room for improvement.
The building seemed bigger on the inside than the outside. I almost broke down laughing when I saw Assassin Socks arguing with the loopy after the fact Socks. Dying light Socks, one of my personal favorites, sat on one of the bunk beds lined up against the wall. I had no clue why the simplistic design made me feel comfortable. Assassin Socks snapped,
"You stupid winged monster- stop! Our creator is going to be here soon!"
After the Fact Socks, who was a demi-god and not a winged monster in the slightest, stopped and nearly smacked Assassin Socks in the face with his tail like I had done to Hunter Socks a few moments before.
"Uhm, Hi." I said awkwardly.
Despite the fact that Assassin Socks had tried to prepare After the fact Socks to get ready for me, his face fell and he looked disappointed. Until his eyes hovered over Nighty night. No one, not even me, who was almost blind because of the bandages wrapped around my eyes, which were somewhat see-through, could miss the flash of interest and excitement in his eyes.
"Why hello there!" After the fact Socks shouted.
I laughed at his delirious sounding voice. He reminded me of Wulvic. Dying light Socks looked uncomfortable and I sighed. I decided I would give him some time to warm up to me. I then noticed behind Assassin Socks there were some of my own original characters. People like Echo, Moxie, Omora, Obsidian, Golden, Dekka, and Grayfall. Assassin Socks explained to me as if he had already done so a million times to the other characters,
"Okay, yada yada. You know no abilities work here, and other things. Like hunter Socks won't attack anyone. Unless he wants to. Dying light Socks imposter side is neutralized. I can't go to Phoenix and Zach won't bother us. And other crap like that."
Wait a minute-
"Wait, hold on, does this work?"
I then concentrated all my rage and felt my head explode. A few seconds later it regrew back, and I was back to normal. Horrified looks met me and I smiled.
"Sorry, any strong emotions make my head go... kaboom, you know?"
All my Ocs and Au characters still stared at me. I assured them,
"I'm immortal and it won't damage me, I'll just recover."
This made them feel a bit at ease. Dying Light Socks piped up,
"That doesn't make any sense. Everything and I mean everything can be killed."
"I can be killed. Just not in any cool ways. I can be burned alive and poisoned, nothing else."
There's another way-
"Anyways, we have something to talk about."
I turned around and glared at Hunter Socks. He gave a weak smile, although he knew what I was going to bring up. Just before I could start grilling him about attacking Rainbow, the door opened and I was surprised to see what I saw.
"Swapped Socks? Cursed Helmet Socks?" I asked.
I realized I had way too many 'Socks related characters.' Cursed helmet Socks had no helmet on, and Swapped Socks had bright red eyes and fangs.
"What's up?"
Cursed helmet Socks said this, not fully recognizing me as the person who created him. He pointed out,
"Oh hey, it's Oblivion."
I gave him a 'Duh' expression. Swapped Socks said nothing, but gave me a tiny wave.
"This place is gonna get crowded real fast.."
I observed half to myself, but I felt comfort being surrounded by characters that I knew like the back of my hand. It would definitely help in the long run especially since I had quite a bit to hide.
