Chapter 14: Know it All
Sasuke.
Damn.
Uchiha.
Of all smart people in this whole school, it had to be Sasuke Uchiha. Hell, I would've even taken the lazy ass Shikamaru Nara.
I stand at the doorway, looking shocked. Sasuke is sitting at a desk, with his arms folded on it. The strings from his thin, black hoody are dangling from it. His face looked hot as always, and his hair was spiked cooly as usual. To say the least, he looked really intimidating in my case.
"Don't just stand there, Sakura. Sasuke's waiting." Kurenai-Sensei says.
I sigh, and walk towards the the two desks. I guess Sasuke pushed another desk next to him, for me to sit down next to him. I do as told, and sit next to him. I shift uncomfortably in my seat, and look at Kurenai-Sensei.
"Alright kiddos, I have to go, but I'll be back once the tutoring is over." She says, then leaves.
I lean put my shoulder bag on my desk, and get my math binder out, along with some paper. I'm already dreading this. I mean, isn't this what I wanted to do in the first place? Talk to him? I just didn't want to talk to him now. He's too hot right now.
"Get out some paper." His deep, velvet voice demands.
I do as told, and slide some paper to his desk, and wait for him to talk.
"Pencil, please?" He asks coldy, while raising an eyebrow.
"Don't you have your own pencil?" I ask.
"I put my stuff in my locker."
"Wow, so much for being a prepared tutor." I scoff under my breath.
"It's not like I wanted to be here anyway." Sasuke says coldly, "Pencil, now."
I get out a pencil, and throw it on his desk, angrily.
"And you think I do?" I ask.
He picks up the pencil awkwardly, "Stop using a calculator, then you wouldn't have to be here."
I stay silent, and open my binder, ready to take useless notes. I look at Sasuke, waiting for him to speak, but he doesn't.
"Seriously?" He asks raising an eyebrow.
"What?"
"You don't have any other writing utensil?" Sasuke asks.
I look at the fluffy, pink pencil in his hand, and scoff.
"What? To good for a fluffy pencil?" I cross my arms.
"Hn."
I take out my own fluffy, pink pencil, and get into a writing stance.
"That's seriously all you have?" Sasuke asks.
"I bought a twelve pack of these yesterday." I answer.
"Whatever."
Sasuke grabs a peice of paper, and looks at me.
"Well?" He asks, impatiently.
"Well what?" I ask raising an eyebrow.
"You gonna tell me what you need help on?"
"I don't need help." I say stupidly. Really, Sakura? I am just trying to make myself sound more stupid by the second.
"Says your grade in this class." Sasuke scoffs.
I stay silent, and furrow my eyebrows.
"It wouldn't hurt you to try." He continues.
"You know nothing about me." I snap.
"No, but I do."
Why did that statement make butterflies flutter around in the pit of my stomach?
"You're Sakura Haruno," Sasuke says standing up, "You're a stubborn seventeen year old, who is obsessed with the internet," He stands in front of the desks, "You're invisible in school, but have a bestfriend who you think will always be there, but the honest truth is, he won't be. Your dream is to be a web designer and you think school doesn't help one bit for your future career, so you think it's okay to be care free." Now he's staring seriously at me, "You lack self-confidence, and have a low self-esteem."
"Wha-"
He leans close to my face, and I cut myself off.
"So yes, Sakura. I do know about you."
He's so close to my face, I can't even breathe. To my dismay, he leans away from my face, and smirks, "Point Sasuke." He says arrogantly.
I stand up, and furrow my eyebrows. I slam my palms down on the desk, and lean close to him. It looked like we were having a staring contest.
"Two can play at this game." I lean away from him, and continue, "You're Sasuke Uchiha. An arrogant, seventeen year old, who is so perfect. You hang out with a group that thinks they're better than everyone else. Girls drool over your looks, but you show them no affection, when deep down, you know you couldn't live without all the attention you get." I strike back.
He chuckles, and stares at me, "You obviously know nothing about me." He says coldly.
I look down, feeling embarressed. He's right. I know absolutely nothing about him, but I'm so open to him, he knows a lot about me.
"So, let's take this one hour of time in here, to formally get to know each other." He says.
I look up slowly, and his hand is held out to me.
"Hi, I'm Sasuke Uchiha."
