Chapter 13

Michael

☼☼☼

Oh my god. Sophie.

She was now sitting on my kitchen counter and everything was really tense. She had an ice pack pressed to her head and her hand was clutching my hand tightly.

"I'm so sorry, Sophie. I'm so sorry," I said for the millionth time that hour.

"Don't worry, Michael. I just don't do well with large crowds that are out for the kill," she said annoyed but smiling sweetly. I wasn't sure if she was annoyed at me apologizing or if she was annoyed at the mob. I should've stayed closer to her.

"I was so worried. You were out for like ten minutes," I said.

"It's happened before, I would've been okay," she said shrugging her shoulders.

"I'm so sorry Sophie," I said pulling her into a hug.

She almost fell off the counter but I steadied her.

"It's happened before and it's not even my worse injury. Don't worry," she said getting off the counter.

She threw the ice pack and made her way back to me.

"Can you call Calum so that he can take me to the mall?" She asked.

"Why do you want to be with Calum and not me?" I asked quickly getting offended.

"Because this was our plan earlier so I could pick up your birthday present dummy," she said shaking her head, slightly amused.

"Okay," I said pouting slightly.

She quickly wrapped her arms around me and I went to hug her back but something stopped me. Her hand was on my butt. I was frozen in place. She pulled something out and then returned to where she had been.

She had my phone.

Soph started typing and then after a few minutes she gave me back my phone. I was in awe. Normally, if the other guys tried to use my phone is hurt them but with Soph, I didn't mind. I actually liked knowing she trusted me enough and that I trusted her enough.

"Calum will be here in five minutes," Sophie said, "I'm going to go change."

She left the room and after a few minutes I went and followed.

I walked to my room and waited outside the door.

"Dammit Soph, it's easy. Just one arm through one arm-hole and another arm through the other arm-hole," I heard her mutter through the door and my heart fluttered a bit.

I pushed the door open and saw Sophie standing in a pair of shorts but without a shirt on. She was wearing a black lacy bra and it looked hot.

"Need help?" I asked grinning.

I heard a shriek and Sophie was on the floor.

"Knock next time, Clifford! For all you know I could've been naked!" She exclaimed trying to cover up her front. I laughed.

I had already seen her naked once; why was she being shy?

"Then I'll make sure to definitely not knock next time," I said smugly and she rolled her eyes.

"What do you want Clifford?" she asked from where she was still sitting on the floor.

"I think the question is what do you want. You seem to be struggling," I said laughing and she glared at me.

"I can't my shirt on," she pouted.

She stood up and walked over to me handing me the shirt. It wasn't even her shirt. It was mine. I was going to have to talk to her about wearing her own clothes.

"It's my shirt," I pointed out.

"But you love me so you'll let me wear it anyways," she said giving me a quick peck to the cheek and my cheeks heated up a bit. I hated being this pale sometimes.

"As long as that means you'll walk around in just a bra more often I'm fine," I said winking and she blushed a bit.

I loved seeing her nervous and blushy. It showed that even my stupid words could affect her and that she was even more adorable than previously thought.

She hit my arm and I pouted.

"So like what size are you? C? D? Double D?" I asked and she hit my arm again.

"So like what size are you? One inch? Two inches? Maybe three inches? Can't be bigger than that," she said and she started laughing.

"That's rude," I pouted, "I can very much show you here and now that I'm bigger than three inches."

"Please don't," she said shielding her eyes and I laughed, "Just help me with the shirt."

I put it on over her head and she put her arms through the arm-holes.

"Wasn't so difficult, see?" I teased and she pouted.

"You're so mean to me," she said.

"I am not," I whined.

"You are too," she said.

"If I were mean to you would I tickle you?" I asked poking her side and she giggled.

"Yes you would!" She exclaimed.

I poked her side again and she kept giggling.

"Michael, no!" She begged as I kept poking her sides.

She tried running away and I followed her. Soph turned around and fell on the bed. I fell on top of her. I sat on her and kept tickling her. Her laugh echoed around the room.

"Please stop," she begged.

"No, I like tickling you," I said over her shrieks.

"Michael, please. I beg. I'll do anything," she said.

I stopped tickling her and the laughter stopped. Her chest was moving up and down quickly and her hair was sticking to her forehead from trying to push me off. Her eyes were shining brightly and her pupils were dilated making the rim of brown in her eyes shrink. Her... My shirt was slightly hanging off of her shoulder and her hands were resting on my arms. She was beautiful.

I leaned in to where our foreheads were touching and our noses were brushing against each other. A loud sound echoed through the room and had me fall off of Sophie and off the bed.

I really hated my phone sometimes.

She got up and answered the phone. I was really going to have to get her a phone that worked in Australia without wifi.

"It's Calum and he's here. I'll be back later."

Calum this. Calum that. I was getting tired of hearing about Calum.

I got up off the floor and Sophie quickly hugged me and gave me a quick kiss to the cheek.

"Bye Mikey. I'll be back soon. Love you!" Soph said before leaving the room.

"Be careful; love you too," I called out after her but I'm pretty sure she didn't hear. She was already gone.

I was walking around the mall with Calum as I tried to find the store I had ordered Michael's present from.

"You like Michael; don't you?" Calum asked and I stopped in my tracks making Calum run into me.

"I mean... yeah, he's my be-best friend," I said but I stuttered and Calum grinned widely.

"I knew it," he exclaimed.

"Please don't tell him," I pleaded.

"No, I wouldn't do that," Calum said but there was a look in his eyes that showed he was planning something else.

"No, please Calum. You can't tell him. I don't want to lose my friendship with him," I begged.

"I won't, I promise," he said.

"Pinkie promise?" I asked holding up my hand.

He linked his pinkie with mine and I let out a sigh of relief.

We continued walking until we ended up in front of a store.

"What do you need at this pawn shop? I didn't even know we had one in the mall," Calum asked.

"I managed to call the store a few weeks ago to see if they could ship in what I ordered," I said.

"What did you get him?" Calum asked.

"You'll see."

***
"Oh my god. Sophie, that's perfect," Calum said looking at what I had in my hands.

I had managed to get one of the 200 guitars in the world signed by all of Nirvana and it was in my hands.

"How did you manage to do this?" he said looking at the musical instrument in my hands.

"My brother knows a guy," I said.

"It must've cost a fortune," Calum said touching one of the strings.

"Yes, now don't touch it," I said slapping his hand away.

I closed the case and we left the store as I said goodbye to the guy that worked there. He even seemed in awe.

"How did you even afford this?" Calum asked.

"It wasn't as bad as you think," I said shrugging my shoulders.

"He better appreciate it or I'm taking it from him," Calum stated and I laughed.

"Trust me if he doesn't I'll smash it into pieces while he's asleep," I said and Calum laughed as well.

The sun beat down on us as we went to Calum's car and I placed the guitar in the trunk.

"Can you leave it in your trunk so Michael doesn't see it in his room?" I asked and Calum nodded.

"Yeah, I wouldn't want to ruin the surprise," Calum said gripping the steering wheel tighter.

"Do you want to go out to eat maybe?" Calum asked after we had sat in silence listening to Nickelback for a few moments. It hadn't been my choice but Calum liked them so I wasn't about to complain.

"Like now?" I asked.

"Yeah, we can invite Michael and Ashton and Luke. It'll be fun. We can take you to actual Aussie cuisine and not just an Outback," Calum said and I laughed.

"Do not be mean to Outback. It's the greatest thing ever," I pouted.

"Send a text into the group chat and tell them to meet us at Sandy's," Calum said.

He gave me his phone and gave me the password. I sent a quick text and Ashton responded saying he couldn't make it but Luke and Michael agreed.

***

"I'm never eating again," Luke whined.

"Shut up, you'll probably end up snacking in half an hour," Calum said.

I started laughing and so did Michael. My sides started hurting and Michael laughed harder because of my laugh.

"It wasn't even that funny," Luke whined and Calum poked him in the cheek until he stopped.

"Dammit Hood! Stop," Luke whined more.

It would've been really annoying if we were anyone else but saying we knew Luke it was hilarious.

I listened to Calum and Luke argue more when I felt a few fingers brush against mine. I giggled and Michael eventually grabbed my hand in his. I intertwined my fingers with his and he played with the ring on my finger. It was a ring that Halen had gotten me when I was 13 and I had never taken it off. If I lost it I don't know what I'd do.

Michael squeezed my hand and I squeezed his hand back. My head rested on his shoulder and his head rested on my head.

"Are you doing okay?" Michael asked looking down on me.

"I'm so tired; it's been a long day," I said yawning.

"You're always tired," he said.

"I'm still dealing with the different timezones," I muttered into his neck.

"Are you ready to go?" he asked and I nodded my head.

I placed a small kiss to the base of his neck and pulled away from him. I stood up and Michael stood up as well.

"Are you guys leaving now?" Calum asked. Michael nodded his head.

"Be safe. Use protection," Luke exclaimed and Calum hit him on the back of the head, telling him not to be rude.

"See you tomorrow; right?" Michael asked.

"We wouldn't miss our best friend's birthday for the world. Oh and we wouldn't miss yours either Michael," Luke said and this time Michael hit him on the back of the head.

Luke rubbed the back of his head and pouted.

"That's what you get for being a douche," Calum said shrugging.

HI I FINALLY UPDATED. THIS IS A LONG AUTHORS NOTE SOMEWHAT BY THE WAY. I HONESTLY HAVE THE BEST EXCUSE (somewhat) ON WHY IT TOOK SO LONG SO HERE IT GOES; the first week I was two hours away in Indiana to meet up with friends, the second week I had a lot of projects and I had two essays and ugh school was killing me, last week I MET FUCKING PIERCE THE VEIL AND SLEEPING WITH SIRENS AND MALLORY KNOX (aka reason behind the picture of the chapter) (I was that close to the stage) OKAY SO HERES THE STORY:
I'm dedicating this post to my ptv/sws experience:
I ended up in the car with my (ex) crush and somehow he ended up choosing the playlist that was about him without even knowing it.
We waited in a line for three hours. It was cold. We cuddled. We held hands. We met the coolest people too and there was a dad that his first concert was Metallica and he was wearing an a day to remember shirt and damn that's just dad goals.
I met sws. I told them I had been a fan since I was in the 6th grade and my inner 11 year old was freaking out and that I felt bad that I hadn't listened to them much recently since then and Kellin asked why and I said because I'm no longer like fangirl I'm future mrs Kellin Quinn obsessed and he laughed and made fun of me and Jack smells like vanilla FYI.
Now to the point in the story where I may or you may cry. I met PTV. I asked tony if I could hug them and he was like why wouldn't you and I told him when I met Demi I wasn't allowed to touch her and he was like well shit and he pulled me in the biggest bear hug ever and then a group hug by all of them. I was almost crying. I hugged each of them individually and I have them the letter and painting I had made. Vic was like woah that's so cool. You're like all artsy and shit and I was like yeah it took like three weekends of not having plans and I'd work on it six hours a week. He said that was "hella cool" I told them that I was thankful I had met them and that their music really kept me happy and positive through possibly the worst three years of my life while getting bullied and having to deal with a strict dad and having a grandma that would make fun of me and feel like shit. They told me they were proud of me. Jaime said life can suck sometimes but it's the struggles that make us stronger. Vic said he believed in me. He knew I was strong and told me to stay strong. I hugged them all again and before I left I was like bye guys I love you and they each individually said I love you too. After the show I got to chance to meet Mallory Knox (aka one of the opening acts) and can I tell you they are the fucking most sweetest guys I've met. They also are from England and that cutest accents but I went up to them and I thought they were going to sign my cd first so I waited for a bit because Mikey (the lead singer) had the CD but then he was like get in here love we don't bite and I was like oh shit that was my first thought this bastard was going to bite me. He laughed for a solid three minutes and it was adorable. Then Davey and I talked about bass and stuff and then he was like oh my god you're a blueberry and he joked around with me about my blue hair. It was great. The whole band was really sweet and they were amazing during the concert as well. (Literally Mikey's voice was so fucking hot lolololol)
Now to talk about the concert. I was so excited. I was singing and screaming my heart out. I knew all the words to all the songs and they were all amazing live. Vic's vocals were great and holy shit Jaime is so freaking talented and Mike is great at the drums and Tony's solos were amazing and I'm going to cry if I keep discussing this. Sleeping with Sirens was also amazing.
I was hoping to cuddle and flirt with my crush (ex) a bit more and sing all the songs with him and have a great time. He cuddled someone else and made out with them in front of me. She didn't know any of the songs for PTV and only knew two for sws and was basically just there because she was dragged there. Anyways, it was a wake up call. He told me he thinks he really likes her. How can you like someone after two hours? He asked me on my opinions I kept them to myself. He then tells me the next day that my boobs looked great in the shirt I wore since he could see my bright red bra (meant to attract Jaime not him). I haven't talked to him since. I don't feel dependent on him anymore. I still had a great time at the concert and it gave me a new beginning I guess. I'm super thankful for last weekend.

ANYWAYS I CANT BELIEVE IM ALMOST AT 11K READS. I remember when this story was only at 200 reads. Thank you guys for reading this and I love you all lots. You mean the world to me and writing this story keeps me going and knowing you guys love it means the world to me as well. I know this letter doesn't have the best grammar or punctuation right now but I'm trying to just write everything out quickly and update. I love you guys all so much and if you ever have a problem or need someone to talk to I'm here.

I'm updating again soon and y'all should read my other stories while waiting because I'll be updating them today as well and I think you'll like them :-)

I love you guys lots (I've said this a lot in this letter lol) and thank you for everything. You guys are the greatest.

With all the love xx
