Chapter 10

Sophie

I woke up with a feeling of suffocation. It was incredibly warm where I was and there was an arm around me. I started panicking until I saw the light green walls next to me. I relaxed instantly into the arms that were wrapped around me.

I turned slightly to see that Michael was asleep basically on top of me. I giggled at the sight. I grabbed my phone from the bedside table and took a picture of us together. It seemed unreal to me that I was finally with my best friend. I set my phone back down and cuddled deeper into Michael.

"I see you're awake," a voice whispered into my ear. I squealed not knowing that he had been awake. I felt myself blush.

"Did you take a picture of me sleeping?" Michael asked. His voice was raspy and deep from being asleep for awhile.

"No?" I said blushing.

"Oh really?" Michael asked smirking.

"Yeah," I said a bit more confidentially and less like a question.

Michael got up from where he was lying and crawled on top of me. I felt myself blush even more. He sat down on top of me and I let out a huff.

"Michael, you're so heavy," I whined.

"Oh really?" Michael asked again smirking.

"Are you going to keep asking the same question or?" I asked trailing off.

"No," he said and then his hands were on my stomach; tickling.

I was laughing as hard as I could and Michael was laughing along with me. I was trying to fight him off but he took my hands in one of his hands and kept tickling.

"Michael! Stop!" I squealed. I tried kicking but he was literally sat on my waist, I was kind of out of options. I was laughing and Michael was laughing at my reaction.

"Only if you admit you took a picture of me sleeping," Michael said stopping the tickling for a few moments.

"Fine, I did," I whined to try and get him to stop. I was comfortable.

I watched Michael grabbed my phone off the bedside table and took a picture.

"What did you take a picture of, Clifford?" I asked.

"Me sitting on top of you," he said nonchalantly.

"Why?" I asked.

"So the guys think I'm getting some," he said shrugging his shoulders.

"Michael Gordon Clifford!" I squeaked. I don't know what it was but I was guessing it was Michael being taken by surprise as I was able to jump up on him and now we were reversed. I was sitting on him as he was lying underneath me.

"I was kidding," Michael grumbled at the fact I had him pinned down and he couldn't move.

I let go of his hands and we sat there in peace and a comfortable silence.

"Can I see the picture you got earlier?" Michael asked speaking up.

I handed him my phone.

"What's the password?" He asked.

"1-1-2-0," I mumbled.

"My birthday?" He asked and I blushed. I buried my face into his chest to try hiding my blush and I was now lying on him.

"Maybe," I mumbled.

"You're so cute," he cooed.

I saw him open up the pictures and looked at the one I took.

"This is adorable," Michael awed.

"I'd like to say that my picture taking skills are great," I said grinning.

"Arrogant, aren't we?" Michael said grinning back.

"Always," I said smiling.

"How long was I asleep?" I asked after I let out a yawn. I was still exhausted.

"About 5 or 6 hours," he said. My eyes grew wide in shock.

"I'm so sorry, you probably had something planned to do and I slept most of the time," I rambled.

"Even after knowing me for three years you still ramble when you're nervous," Michael chuckled. He grabbed onto my face to get me to stop talking.

"Sorry," I mumbled.

"No, it's cute," he grinned. I kissed his nose and he chuckled.

"Are the boys still coming tonight?" I asked out of curiosity.

"Yeah, in about thirty minutes," Michael said.

"What?" I gasped.

I quickly got off of Michael and ran towards my stuff.

"I have to shower and get changed and not look like shit," I rambled.

"Babe, calm down. You have plenty of time," he said from where he was still in the bed.

"How is half an hour plenty of time?" I asked running around the room looking for my suitcase.

"They probably will be late," Michael said. His voice was now a lot closer and he wrapped his arms around me to get me to stop pacing.

"About how late?" I asked.

"I have no idea," Michael admitted sheepishly.

"That doesn't help," I whined.

"Just relax Soph," Michael said. He kissed the top of my head and finally let go of the embrace we had.

"You go shower or whatever you want to do and I'll be downstairs, okay?" Michael asked.

I nodded my head feeling more calm at his words. Michael left the room and I went to start getting ready.

I pulled my floral skirt and tucked a red plaid flannel into the skirt. The flannel had been Michael's and he later gave it to me. I didn't want to look terrible meeting his friends. I wanted them to not hate me in person, if that makes any sense. I put on my black vans and fixed my skirt again.

I had spent about half an hour curling my hair and it didn't look like a wreck anymore. I didn't do much for my make-up out of laziness but I did manage to use concealer and mascara.

I walked out of the bathroom once I thought I looked decent enough and grabbed my phone from the bedside table. Michael had one of those rooms that were connected to the bathroom and it was like heaven.

I walked towards the end of the hallway and was at the top of the stairs. I heard a lot of voices coming from downstairs and my stomach dropped. The boys were here.

I slowly started going down the stairs and hoping that their conversation wasn't on me.

"She's great. She's better than I imagined. She makes me really happy," I heard Michael say, "Earlier today she got so nervous and she was pacing and it was adorable."

"I can't wait to meet her," I heard Ashton chirp.

"Soph is still probably showering so she'll be down here soon. Be careful though. She's scared as hell to meet you guys," Michael said. His voice got quieter as he said this.

I slowly walked down the remainder of the stairs and they all stopped talking. All of their eyes were on me. It felt like high school all over again.

"Hi," I mumbled.

"SOPHIE!" Calum yelled. He got up from his seat. He hugged me and spun me around. I laughed and clung onto him for dear life.

"Hi Calum," I said.

"How are you?" He asked.

"Tired. Jet-lag is a bitch," I muttered into his shoulder.

"I know what you mean," he chuckled.

"Hi Sophie," Luke said laughing. He hugged me and I hugged back.

"Hey Luke," I said smiling.

"It's so good to meet you in person," Luke said.

"You too," I said still smiling.

"Sophie, my main bitch, what's up?" Ashton said coming up and hugging me.

"I'm your main bitch, Ashton? I'm so sorry that I only made you a side chick," I said and Ashton giggled. He fucking giggled. I laughed along with him as he kept giggling.

"Your laugh is great," I said pulling back from the hug.

"I'm the main bitch," Michael butted in pulling me away from Ashton.

"You wish you were the main bitch," I muttered and Ashton started laughing more.

"I'm deeply offended Soph. I let you stay in my house. I let you eat my food. I let you sleep in my bed and I'm not even the main bitch?" Michael scoffed.

"No, you're not Valeria," I said.

"Rude, I should've just left you in Minnesota or Missouri or wherever you're from," he said.

"I'm from Michigan, dumb-ass," I said.

Michael pouted and I giggled.

"Are you wearing Michael's clothes? Oh my god, you guys have only been together for 5 hours and you're already going at it?" Ashton asked with a look of horror when he saw the flannel I was wearing. I let out a giant laugh and Michael joined.

"You're stupid," Michael said thumping the back of Ashton's head, "She's had that flannel for about a year."

"I'm hungry," Luke butted in.

"You're always hungry," Calum groaned.

"True," Luke said.

"Should we order in food or go out?" Calum asked.

"Order in. I want to watch Netflix and and cuddle," Ashton said.

"Fair enough," Calum said.

"What do you think Soph?" Michael asked.

"I'm cool with that," I said.

We had finished eating pizza and right now we were watching Human Centipede. I had no idea why but all I could say that it was creepy as fuck. People were eating out of other people's butts!

I didn't mind watching it though because Soph was cuddled into me. We were talking during the movie and the guys would yell at us for talking to loud.

"This movie is terrible," I whispered.

"You can say that again," Soph muttered.

"This movie is-" I started but was shushed when Soph put her finger on my lips.

"I didn't mean it literally," she said laughing.

"Let's take a selfie so I can tweet it," I whispered.

"You just want to gain followers," she scoffed sarcastically.

"No... Spsh... Maybe," I said stuttering and she laughed. The guys gave us an angry "shush" making us laugh harder.

I took out my phone and tried to get a decent picture of us but we kept laughing. I ended up getting a picture of us mid-laugh. It was so cute.

"Don't tweet that, please," Sophie begged.

"Why? It's adorable," I said.

"I look gross," she pouted.

"No, you don't," I said pouting back.

"Fine," she muttered.

"You better retweet it," I said glancing over her as I pulled up Twitter.

"I'll even make sure to favorite it too," she said sarcastically and I laughed.

"You're the best," I said while typing.
