Apathy is my middle name
It's a shadow I like to keep
One that follows me even during sleep
I'll watch while everyone else runs away
But I stay just to be consumed for another day
Others will poke and prod
Trying to get me to spill
But I say nothing with all the pills
Somehow silence helps
Keeping shut out feels right
Fore apathy has incredible might
Possibly it's because I don't feel needed
But I know others would disagree
That doesn't changed my thoughts
Though they said they wish the could find
The key to a slowly dulling mind
What a rarity that'd be
Since it's lost so far out in the sea
I'm sure I'll fade soon
Into my own black lagoon
