Hi guys! So I took time to interview some Nigerian authors on wattpad few questions and here are their replies.

Let's go!

WHAT IS YOUR INTAKE ON RELATIONSHIPS?

Emy_Akpan : My intake on relationship will be having someone to share your happy and sad moment with. That is if that person is willing.

BritneyRoRo : A relationship is like a bond or connection between two personalities. It's something that connects people together be it platonic or romantic relationship.

Eddy622 : Um..... Well I see relationship as a connection. It could be with someone you've got romantic feelings for, or just friends and family. There must be a bond before that relationship gets established.

Victoria_yemi : Well I'm not against relationships but I will only advise whosoever who wants to be in a relationship should be ready emotionally and mentally and also date to see a future with the person not to date for fun.

ivory_inklet : I can't say much on relationship because I don't believe in it.

TomiGrace_xx : There are plethora kinds of relationships, parents - children relationship, siblings relationships and romantic relationship.

CAN YOU EXPLAIN LOVE, LUST AND PITY?

yewandejoseph : To me, LOVE is a response to values. Liking someone or loving someone is because I see values I have in them and it intrigues me. It is patient and requires mutual understanding. LUST is infatuation. You see a thing and want it immediately. To me,  I will call it greed. PITY to me is willing to do something for someone because of what they've been through. Like choosing to be with a man because he needs help from  woman. You can help without putting your happiness in line.

BritneyRoRo : LOVE is having an unexpected attraction to a person or even a place. It's wonderful to love but not everyone can get it. LUST is when you are attracted to someone just by their physical appearance. There are no strings attached. And this kind of thing is often mistaken for love. PITY is a feeling of sympathy for someone due to their misfortune or suffering.

Eddy622 : I personally think LOVE is a deeper connection between two people. I also don't think there's a thorough explanation for love, since everyone has their different experiences with that word. The general understanding of love is meeting the right person and feeling a deep connection OR meeting someone and letting that deep connection grow. LUST isn't that deep. It's define by being sexually attracted to someone. PITY series could be mistaken with love. It's feeling sorry for someone and putting your happiness in line.

ivory_inklet : I'll say LOVE is everything, the whole world revolves around it. Love is a personality and don't forget the Bible says God is love and love is God. LUST is like craving something you want at all cost,  what you get your minds or eyes off until they become yours. PITY is like a sympathy one feel for or towards someone due to a situation that person was or is going through.

Emy_Akpan : LOVE is unconditional, it changes every being. LUST Springs up infatuation. Leading to temporary pleasure just to satisfy the longing you have or feel towards someone. PITY this is by far the worst. A person just end up being in a relationship out of obligation or duty.

Victoria_yemi : LOVE is loving the person's soul and personality.  Everything that makes the person. LUST to me is just loving the person with his/her physical attributes. PITY is just forcing yourself doing what you don't want.

TomiGrace_xx : Briefly I will just say this are apparently different phenomena confused by those who just want to do so or those who are just plain ignorant. Unlike LOVE enigmatic depth, LUST and PITY on the one hand, is a mere feeling of impure attraction and sorrow respectively.

CAN A RELATIONSHIP BE BUILD WITH LUST OR PITY?

Emy_Akpan : Yes, a relationship can be build with LUST and PITY since relationship has to do with association. But a healthy relationship and strong relationship can't be built with lust and pity. The foundation is just too weak to sustain the turbulence every relationship suffers.

yewandejoseph : No. One party will end up hurting if they try to.

BritneyRoRo : Well.... This is tricky. But there are people who have maybe never felt love before. Or those who deprived of it. They can be used thinking it's love. But no. It's LUST or it's PITY.

Eddy622 : I'll say no. No matter how you try, that relationship is gonna fail.

ivory_inklet : A relationship built with LUST or PITY won't stand the test of time.

Victoria_yemi : No relationship can be built on LUST and PITY cause it will never last. You both won't feel the real thing called love.

TomiGrace_xx : Relationship can't be built on either of those two factors.

WHY DO PEOPLE CONFUSE LOVE TO LUST AND PITY?

yewandejoseph : Lack of knowledge. What you don't know, you don't know. And what you know us what you operate on.

Eddy622 : Ignorance.

Victoria_yemi : Some do that because they think being in live means listing over a guy's features or a girl's features and deep down they know they aren't made for each other but all in love or whatever they call it they fail to see it.

ivory_inklet : People often confuse the together because they all have to do with liking and feeling for something or someone but the outcomes are all different.

Emy_Akpan : I believe most people are ignorant of the truth or they don't want to admit it.

TomiGrace_xx : Because they want to. There should be no confusion among these obvious different factors. The feeling is different. The fantastic attraction,  the sorrowful feeling and vulnerability is different from the crystal pure feeling of love.

HOW DO YOU KNOW IF A PERSON IS THE RIGHT ONE?

Emy_Akpan : When you meet the right one, you feel a sense of peace. This is essential. That person will be real with you. And not some made up fantasy.

yewandejoseph : I really don't know. Men are new everyday. I choose to be with a man who has the same value with me.

Eddy622 : Ah, tough question 😂 I don't know to me honest. Guys are simply chameleons. One day they are perfect and the next thing to you, they are the worst specie on earth. But I guess you'll know through mutual taste.

BritneyRoRo : To be honest. In my view. Someone who is right for me has already been ordained by God as my partner. God sends sign out. And it's time. I would know.

Victoria_yemi : Well I believe if you know the person is right for you there are some characters that person exhibits and also, you can pray to God to lead you right because sometimes you might think the person is the right person for you but it is otherwise.

  ivory_inklet : If you are placing my happiness over yours common you are definitely the one for me.

TomiGrace_xx : Your intuition will tell you that.

AS A GIRL, CAN YOU LOVE SOMEONE YOUNGER OR WAY OLDER THAN YOU? IF NO, WHY? IF YES, WHY?

Emy_Akpan : It's society that made age a barrier. Not God. I don't really mind if that person is young or old as far as he admits me and puts me first, I'm good to go. Why I'll like if he's older is because he is matured enough to handle me.

yewandejoseph : I can love both because a younger guy could be way mature than the older guy. And the older guy could be actually way matured. Whoever makes me happy.

BritneyRoRo : Older than me. For one, I don't want just a husband. I want a teacher, a trainer. A person who install Wisdom into me. Someone I can look up to. So yeah. An older person.

Eddy622 : There's something I usually sat a lot. Maturity is no longer by age but by the mind. If I see a guy younger than me (but not too young) and truly likes me, I'll date him. If it's an older guy and he's equally sensible, then it's a win-win cause I'll date him. But not too old either 😂💔

ivory_inklet : Yes. Age is just a number sounds like a cliché but it's actually true. Age difference shouldn't define love with both share.

Victoria_yemi : Yes I can date someone younger than me and I can also date someone older than me. It depends on the level of maturity the person carry or portray.

TomiGrace_xx : No one will tell you who to love, that is your decision to make. You CAN love anyone you want. That is when your sense, heart and mind should work for you.

WHAT ARE THE ATTRIBUTES TO KNOW THAT SOMEONE IS THE RIGHT ONE FOR YOU?

yewandejoseph : His values.

Eddy622 : Respectful, God-fearing, integrity, hardworking, trust worthy, Handsome💔 A bit taller than me cause me I'm tall. 💔💔💔💔💔

Victoria_yemi : Well I can't really say this is it but once I meet that person I'll know. All we should be praying for is for God to lead us right.

ivory_inklet : Trust, Good communication, true love and dedication.

Emy_Akpan : He should be God fearing, good relationship with family, have good vision about the future and works towards carrying me along. Supportive.

TomiGrace_xx : Pay attention, you know he/she is the right one without a junk list of attributes.

Moving on to a lighter topic

FUFU OR EBA?

Emy_Akpan : Fufu obviously.

BritneyRoRo : Fufu

yewandejoseph : Eba. But I wish I could choose Amala dudu. That goes for me any day, any time 😁

Eddy622 : I'm not a fan of swallow. But I'll choose Fufu over Eba any time.

ivory_inklet : Fufu I stan and re stan. Eba is too popular and confusing. Why does it have to come in both white and yellow.

Victoria_yemi : None. I don't like Fufu or Eba.

TomiGrace_xx : I hate swallows.

WATER OR MINERAL?

Emy_Akpan : Water.

BritneyRoRo : Water.

Eddy622 : Water. No matter how many mineral I drink, it doesn't quench my thirst.

ivory_inklet : Omo, water is life, it's tasteless, colour less and odorless. I think it's only me that no matter how much mineral one drinks it doesn't quench thirstiness.

Victoria_yemi : I prefer both water and minerals.

TomiGrace_xx : Would have choosen ice-cream but water please. Water is actually the best here.

RAINING DAYS OR SUNNY DAYS?

yewandejoseph : Raining days. I will still put on fan 😁 that's how I like everywhere being cold. I don't mind shaking and hiding under the blanket till the next day.

BritneyRoRo : Sunny days.

Emy_Akpan : Raining days.

Eddy622 : I'm a girl of both. I usually like sunny days during the day just in case of emergency.  I'm not ready to start struggling with umbrella, cold and slippery ground while walking on the road. But I like listening to the rain sound while sleeping. It's kind of peaceful. But not with those Nigerian thunder that will make you fly from your bed.

Victoria_yemi : Well I prefer warm days.

ivory_inklet : Till this moment I'm still not able to choose between those days. Come rain come sunshine I'm still me and always me.

TomiGrace_xx : Rain, anytime except a day I have something to do outside. I just dislike sunny days. I don't know if it's just me but sunny days are tad bit stressful and uncomfortable.

NIGERIAN MOVIES OR NON NIGERIAN MOVIES?

Emy_Akpan :  Non Nigerian movie. (I have a lot of Nigerian dramas going on with me).

BritneyRoRo : Non Nigerian movies.

yewandejoseph : Hey, hey 😁 My love for Korean and Chinese movies pass anything in this world.

Eddy622 : Babe, I'm a sicker for American, Korean, Chinese and Thailand series. Please don't carry Nigerian movie and near me, unless about eight people convince me that it's interesting. Worst is Indian movie. A friend sent a Nigerian movie that was mixed with Indian to my phone; Namaste wahala. They even sang! I cried out of frustration and deleted it once I was done 😭💔

Victoria_yemi : But Nigerian and non Nigerian movie is okay for me as long as it is very interesting.

ivory_inklet : Non-Nigerian movie biko, I'm tired of Nigeria industry and cliché. Just a first scene of movie person don know watin go happen for the end o.

TomiGrace_xx : Non-Nigerian movies.

FAVORITE NAIJA NOVEL ON WATTPAD, EXCLUDING YOURS?

yewandejoseph : Tangled by One Daniels. I fell in love with that book, and it was the best decision for me choosing to read that book over any other book back then. No longer on Wattpad.

Eddy622 : I was reading a book by Donaldprince and it was titled Being the pastor's son. I think it's no longer available on Wattpad.

Victoria_yemi : I have so many favorite novels on Wattpad so I can't say this is my favorite.

TomiGrace_xx : I can't have, different amazing books everyday. Damn, I love every good book.

FAVORITE NOVEL YOU'VE WRITTEN AND WHY?

Emy_Akpan : SEE ME TOO. I'd say when writing it, I was able to think I existed with different attributes. I connect with the characters. And it's mostly my fantasies made real in the book. I just totally love it.

BritneyRoRo : TORN. Only Novel.

yewandejoseph : I don't have yet.

Eddy622 : Love all books equally. Can't choose yet.

ivory_inklet : Our Last High School Years. It was my first novel, it opened my eyes to many things on Wattpad, so sad I had to tear it down for some personal reasons.

Eddy622 : C.R.U.S.H : About a lady in need of money. She finds herself working as a maid with a huge pay. Meeting the second son along the line, she developed feelings. Drama... Drama... Drama once you read. BLOSSOM HIGH SCHOOL SERIES : All three books gives insight to the characters high school lives. Drama... More drama once you read.

ivory_inklet : Our Last High School Years : It was an insight into the lives of high school students as they live the last few years high school as to offer. Wallflower : In this book we see how regret can actually play a great role in one's life. My main shattered broken due to the guilt of killing her mother. Butterfly Effect : Davin has a deep hatred for his mother Jenny never knew who her father is. They got attracted and their closeness is left to be define by the outside world.

Emy_Akpan : See Me : A teen fiction foreign based novella. It's short with just 15 chapters excluding prologue and epilogue.  See Me Too : Is a sequel of See Me but it is a romance Novel but still a work in progress with 16 chapters for now. Essence : Collection of poetry.

TomiGrace_xx : Sweet Storm, One too soon, A break to forever, Start, Breaking Those Shadows (Available on wattpad)

Emy_Akpan : Never give up on your dream. You may think people do not appreciate your gift but know your time is coming but before then, work on your gift and find new ways to improve on them.

yewandejoseph : I know you're trying, but try a little more harder. Maybe that's all it takes to become better. It is better than giving all your hard work up in one day. Think about it.
