Chapter 8: A Hero in Danger
Third Person POV
The van pulled up to the hotel that the Pine's and their friends were staying at while they were stuck in this dimension and parked in the parking lot. Ford jumped out of the van before it had even stopped moving, rushing to the backseat where Sam, Tucker and the currently unconscious Danny were sitting.
Sparks: Whoa Sixer, so badass.
Blitz: Think he'll ever be in an action movie?
He threw open the doors. "Come on, we have to hurry." He urged. Dipper and Soos got out of the car and headed over to Ford.
Sam and Tucker held Danny protectively. "We're not going any farther until you tell us what's going on!" Sam shouted at the older man. It was bad enough they were talked into getting into the van, they weren't going to just blindly go along with what the stranger said. They wanted answers.
Ford groaned and pinched the bridge of his nose. "I promise all will be explained in time. Right now we have to hurry. Your friend could be dying!" He said.
Sparks: SAY WHAT?!
Dipper and Soos looked shocked by Ford's words. They knew there was something wrong with the teen, but Ford never mentioned he could be dying! Sam and Tucker looked equally shocked. The two friends shared a look before silently agreeing. Soos helped Sam and Tucker get Danny out of the van. Stan got out of the driver's seat and walked over to the group. He leaned against the van scratching his head. "Hey Ford, how are we going to get an unconscious teen up to the rooms without it seeming suspicious?"
Ford smiled at his twin. "We go in the back door." Rolling his eyes, Stan headed to the back entrance of the hotel and began to pick the lock. Sam and Tucker each slung one of Danny's arms over the shoulders and carried him to the back door. Soos offered to help but Sam and Tucker refused. They made it to the back door and after Stan had picked the lock, giving them an 'all clear' sign, the group made their way into the hotel. They appeared to be in some sort of storage area and a stairwell was on the right side of the room.
They made their way to the stairs and went up. Sam and Tucker were having trouble getting Danny up the stairs and finally allowed Soos to help them. Ford walked behind them and Dipper was by his side. Stan led the way up the stairs until they reached the floor where the Pines and their friends were staying on. Making sure the halls were clear, the group rushed to the rooms where they were staying at and ran inside. "Put him on one of the beds." Ford urged as he ran into the room that he and his brother shared. The group was currently in the room that Soos and Dipper shared. Sam, Tucker and Soos gently placed Danny on one of the beds.
Danny groaned softly and started mumbling something under his breath. From the next room over, Wendy and Mabel ran in. Mabel gasped when she saw Danny and Danny's friends jumped in surprise when they saw more strangers. "Just how many of you guys is there!?" Sam questioned. Tucker smiled once he laid eyes on Wendy.
The red head noticed and rolled her eyes. "Don't even think about it." She warned. Tucker's eyes instantly looked away from Wendy and blushed.
Blitz: Ouch, poor Tucker.
Sparks: Did you seriously just say that?
Blitz: What? She could have at least given him a chance.
Sparks: Don't you start shipping them on me! One fandom at a time girl!
Ford rushed back into the room, holding a syringe. He neared Danny with it and Sam immediately jumped in front of him. "Hold on a minute! Just what do you think you're doing?!" She questioned.
"I need to take a sample of his blood." Ford replied.
Sam shook her head. "No way. You're not going to touch him! Not until we start getting some answers!" She said firmly. "Who even are you people?"
Ford sighed. "We really don't have time for this!" He muttered.
Dipper stepped forward and cleared his throat. Sam's attention went to him. The brown haired boy gulped as he felt Sam's icy gaze on him, but swallowed his fear and began to explain. "So, I guess I'll start with introductions. My name is Dipper. This is Ford, Stan, Soos, Wendy and Mabel." As he introduced everyone he pointed to them. "We're from an alternate dimension."
Sparks: Wow, straight to the point eh?
Tucker scoffed. "Yeah right."
Dipper frowned. "It's the truth. Great Uncle Ford invented a dimensional transporter. He accidentally activated it and we ended up here." Everyone nodded to confirm his story, but Sam and Tucker still looked skeptical.
"Okay, say that we believe you. What do you want with us then?" Sam asked, still standing protectively in front of Danny. Tucker had walked over and now joined his gothic friend in defending his best friend.
Ford answered that question. "When we arrived in this dimension, the first person we met was your friend. Though he had been in his alter ego at the time." Sam and Tucker's eyes widened. "Yes, we all know about Danny Fenton being Danny Phantom." Ford said. "But that's beside the point. I was curious about this ghostly hero and decided to do some research on him. We went to a scene of his latest fight and I collected an ectoplasmic sample." Ford placed a hand on his chin. "Quite an interesting makeup. I ran some tests on it and discovered some frightening results."
Ford glanced at Danny's still unconscious form. "I used a sample of my own blood to analyze the multiplying factor of ectoplasmic cells and at first, the experiment proved successful. That is, until my cells self-destructed."
Sparks: Does no one in this family know how to sugar-coat anything?
Blitz: Oh hush! Like you sugar-coat anything.
Sparks: Hey! I do sometimes! Like back in Vegas I-
Blitz: I'm going to stop you there.
Sam and Tucker gasped, their eyes darting to their friend. The others in the room who hadn't known about the results of the experiment gasped as well. Mabel looked over at her brother and he gave her a reassuring smile. Despite not knowing him for long, Dipper was concerned about Danny. Ford noticed the concern and rushed to calm Danny's friends. "Now that could still mean many things! It doesn't necessarily mean that Danny is in any danger. It could just be me. But I would still like to run a few tests to make sure." He cautiously held up the syringe as Sam looked back at him. "I will not do it unless you are alright with that. I promise I will not hurt him." Ford said.
Sam and Tucker glanced at each other, equally concerned about their friend. They still didn't trust these strangers but if what they said was true, they couldn't afford to say no. Danny's life could be in danger and Ford could possibly help him. Sighing, they nodded and moved out of Ford's way, though they did stay close to Danny. Ford walked over to Danny and stuck the syringe in the teen's arm. Danny winced in pain as Ford drew blood into the syringe. Once he was done, he removed the needle and taped gauze over the area where he had stuck the needle.
Blitz: *shudders* Ugh, I hate needles. What about you Spar- *looks at Sparks* Not again.
Sparks: *is nowhere to be seen, but there is a Sparks shaped hole in the wall*
Blitz: *groans* You didn't react this badly when you got that tattoo, what gives?! *runs out Sparks shaped hole in the wall after Sparks*
Ford left the room and returned to the one he and Stan shared, with Dipper following after him. Stan left the room to go get everyone something to eat and Soos went with him. That left Wendy, Mabel, Tucker, and Sam alone in the room with Danny. Silence filled the room. Mabel was the one to break that silence. "What's it like helping a superhero?" She asked eagerly, looking over at Sam and Tucker.
Sam glanced at the younger girl, a small smile gracing her hardened features. "It's pretty awesome. But it's also pretty dangerous... and weird." She chuckled. "One time, we actually got sucked into this dystopian future and Danny had to battle his evil future self." Mabel's eyes widened in amazement.
Wendy smiled. "Sounds pretty hardcore." She glanced at a clock on one of the nightstands next to the beds. "We have a lot of time before those two nerds in the other room will be finished with their experiments. Why don't we get to know each other better?"
Sam glanced at Wendy. There was something about the older girl that Sam liked. Maybe it was her laid back attitude. It didn't really matter though. They had time, they weren't going anywhere and the two other girls in the room seemed nice enough. And so, the four began to share stories of their own experiences.

Ford and Dipper began to test Danny's blood. They did many tests, gaining good and bad results. As of yet, Ford could still not determine what exactly was happening with the young halfa's blood, but he knew it wasn't something good. There was something wrong with the teen and he needed to figure it out. A life was in the balance of this. Ford became distracted and his elbow bumped a vial of blue liquid. Dipper and Ford both scrambled to catch it, but their movements became slow. The blue liquid spilling out of the falling vial paused in midair and the vial stopped falling. Time stood still.
A purple cloaked ghost exited a blue portal holding a gear shaped medallion. He floated over to the older man wearing the trench coat and slipped the medallion over his head. The man slowly regained his movement and fell to the ground. He looked around wildly and his eyes fell upon the vial frozen in midair. "Fascinating." He whispered. From the corner of his eye, Ford noticed the floating figure. He whipped around to stare at the being, amazement in his eyes.
"Hello Stanford Pines, I am Clockwork." The floating figure said. "We have much to talk about."
A/N: Hey peoples, sorry I haven't updated in forever and that this chapter is so short. I am currently working through a writer's block.
Blitz: *enters dragging Sparks in as well* You have no idea how long it took me to catch them. By the time I finally caught up Sparks, they were in the 4th dimension!
Sparks: I do not like needles
Me: *rolls eyes* Anyways, thank for reading and I'll see you all in the next one!
