Chapter 5
KEN'S POV
The sun is kissing the sea. The orange light color combined with the grey clouds is filling the sky. The sea is calm. Waves are dancing with the wind and gently approaching the shore.
I rest my arms on the table. Watching the waves while the sun slowly hides in the sea calms me. The waves seem like taking away all the uneasiness in me.
I decided to go down earlier when I was sure that Zion was already asleep. I'm so distracted by his presence. I can't think of any plan or steps on what I should do next while he's beside me.
I stared at the phone that my boss gave to me before Zion arrived. He said if something happens, I have to call him immediately. If I want something, I can call him directly. His number is the only one that was saved on this phone. He strictly instructed me to call him only if something happened.
I heaved a deep sigh. I looked at the sea again.
Zion for me is a walking danger zone. I don't know why I feel that way about him. I was nervous in his presence. It seems like anytime something bad happens to me. The way he stares at me, the way he asks me to sleep beside him is giving me a chill. My mind says no, but he made my mouth say yes. He made my body follow what he said. I don't know how he did it. All I know is whatever he asks me to do, I cannot refuse to do it.
"I thought you ran away from me." I turned around in surprise. Zion is walking toward me. He is wearing a black tank top and knee-length printed board shorts. His messy wet hair completes his messy gorgeous look. He also walks like a runway model.
I cannot stop myself from observing his biceps and legs. It's so beautiful. It's firm and smooth. It's like it's good to touch.
I mentally slapped myself. How can I think that way?
"You're awake." I didn't bother to stand up. I just wait for him to sit near me.
"Hmm. And I was a little bit shocked when you weren't by my side. I thought you left."
"Even if I want to leave, I have nowhere to go." I looked away from him or her. I can't stand his stare.
"Staying here is the best decision you made."
I turned to him again. "Why?"
"Danger."
I frowned. What does he mean?
"I know your situation. Matthew told me everything. I already asked some of my men to dig some information about that guy. They already sent me a bit of information."
He fished out his phone from the pocket of his shorts. He tapped and scrolled before he gave it to me.
"Read it by yourself."
I took his cellphone and read the flash on the screen
Name: Emman Mosh Morningstar

Citizenship: American

Bloodtype: O
I scroll down a little bit and see the picture of the man who's pretending as me.
"Is this him?" I suddenly asked. His appearance is very far from the picture and his appearance now.
"Surgery."
Oh, that explains why who looks a little like me. Surgery can do miracles when it comes to appearance.
I gave him back his cell phone and looked at the ocean again. I just realized now that money really does miracles. From face down to the information. Money is a very fierce and challenging opponent.
"Thank you." I said in a low voice but enough for Zion to hear.
"Small things. Treat it as my obligation to you as my personal assistant. I signed a document where in one of the agreements is your safety."
"Still, thank you." I swallow the lump in my throat. I want to cry about what is happening to me. It hurts to know that other people are helping me. To other people, I still feel my value as a human. Whereas my parents, there, believe in the impostor with them. What hurts the most is that they don't know what their child looks like.
"Don't blame your parents yet. You don't know everything yet." Zion said.
I didn't say a word. My eyes stayed on the sea that was gradually getting darker.
Silence embraces us as the surrounding slowly gets darker. The wind became cold, pairing the coldness I felt inside me.
I made a concrete plan in my head. A plan where Zion is involved. After all, at this time, boss Matthew and Zion were the people I could hold on to. They are the only people I can count on and rely on.
I close my eyes for a while and when I open them, I let out a deep breath. I smile then, I look at Zion.
"What do you want to eat?"
"Anything that you can also eat."
"I can't eat shrimps because I have allergies but I can order for you if you want." I want him to taste our seafood croquettes that our visitors to the other island bring back again and again. That is of our best sellers. I can't eat it just because of the shrimp. Well, I tasted it once and I ended up in the hospital. I didn't know that there was a shrimp with it.
"Order food that you can also eat." That tone of his voice again. That tone that you cannot even say NO with what he said is not because you don't want to, but because you feel you can't refuse.
"Okay. Stay here." Then, I left without hearing his answer.
I ordered grilled fish steak for Zion. Because boss Matthew said that Zion doesn't like pork or beef very much. It is said to be more on fish, seafood, and vegetables. I also ordered a Caesar salad for him. Then I order a steak for myself.
When you came back to my place with Zion earlier, you didn't hand me anything. Instead, Zion is on the shore with my boss. They are talking seriously. I just shrugged my shoulders and sat in my seat earlier.
After 5 minutes, the boss left and Zion returned to our place. He is looking at me with a serious face.
"What?" I want to ask.
He didn't answer. He kept staring at me. I really hate how he stares. It's like absorbing energy. His stare is like a black hole.
"Stop staring at me. That's rude, in case you don't know."
I turned my back to him. I can't see anything in the sea because it's dark. I just imagine in my head the view. Thanks to the sounds of waves, I can clearly see the sea in my head.
"Can you be my lover?"
