Adrien Agreste sighs.  

     Ten years ago, his mother died, so now Christmas is just another reminder that his father is too busy for him. Natalie left a year ago because she grew tired of the man, Gabriel's ignorance and lack of love.

     Some Christmas, no tree, wreath, holly, or Christmas decoration in sight. No egg nog and no Christmas cookies to await him.

     He wishes the whole world would cave in on him because it was that bad. 

     He hears a noise at the door. Who could that be?

 The weather forecast calls for more snow. It had been snowing non-stop now for almost a week.

    It was a cold winter.

   Yep, he did not even have someone to keep him company as he sat by the fireplace.  His cat Plagg had gotten sick. He told his father which did no good. His father always hated the animal. Soon, Plagg got freedom from the whole horrible Agreste household when his mews quieted down and he closed his eyes in death.
