"That's nice. But what'll happen if that John guy thinks you're cheating on him?"
"I'll tell him we're just friends.."
Unedited
....
John's eyes groggily opened, the warmth of the blanket he was swaddled in and the sound of faint music playing reminded him that he was still at his apartment.
He wiped the crust from the corners of his eyes while yawning like a dog, sitting up and looking around.
Where's Alex? He thought as he scratched his head, noticing the boy not laying beside him like last night.
Last night....John lifted his fingers to brush against the skin of his lips, smiling sheepishly and blushing deeply.
Last night was amazing.
Last night John had the ability to control Alex, last night John felt what being loved felt like. Last night, John lost his virginity.
He had been a flower picked directly from the virgin garden of Eve.
He wanted to hide his face full of embarrassment, though no one was in the room either than him and Nala. John kept his smile as he stretched his hand and yawned once more, swinging his legs over the bed to go see if Alex was in the bathroom or kitchen.
John personally hoped he was. That way he can walk up behind and wrap his hands around the slim thicc shape of his boyfriend, leaning his head on his shoulder while watching him cook his special carribean style stir fry.
It was perfect.
Only if any of that had ever existed though.
He didn't hear the shower running so he assumed Alexander wasn't in the bathroom, and he sure enough hadn't smelled food cooking so Alex wasn't in the kitchen.
Come to think of it, John hadn't seen any of Alexander's things on his bedroom floor, nor did he see the pair of timberlands laying carelessly on the floor like last night.
Oh no.
Had he become a victim of an unplanned one night stand?
John felt his heart beat speed up as he lifted up the blankets, not caring about the Spiderman underwear he had on since last night as he searched desperately for his phone.
This couldn't be true, Alexander couldn't have played him like this! Was all the little kisses and sweet things he had been told last night true? Or was it all a hoax to get John where he wanted so that he could get sex out of him.
That was the main reason Alexander had contacted him in the first place.
(basically chapters 1-9) He distracted him with sweet talk and fake innocence for so long, John had forgotten who Alex truly was. A whore.
A whore who stole his time, heart, and virginity.
Damn he was so stupid. So stupid to fall for someone he knew was bad for him.
But for the first time in a long time, it felt good to be touched, it felt good to be cared for and loved on. And he guessed that maybe he was just in need of that sort of attention. That maybe he had tricked himself into thinking Alexander was what he wanted him to be.
A loving, kind, and occasionally funny boyfriend.
His mind had filtered out all of the things he hadn't liked about Alex and left him with the stuff he did like about him.
So who really is the bad guy here?
The whole time after figuring out he had been stood up, John's eyes were watering and he sniffled a bit, trying to keep his crying to a minimum, though the pain in his chest was way more than that. Because he thought Alexander was healing him, not breaking him even more.
His chest ached and craved for the boy who had left him as more tears started to roll down his face. With all the smiles Alex brought him, he never thought it could cause so many tears, so much pain in just the span of ten minutes without being with him.
He felt betrayed, oh John felt deceived as to what just happened.
Instead of getting up and doing something like murdering all of Alexander's family or tying him up in a basement so he could never escape again, John decided on holding himself while crying, eventually crying louder and louder until he heard one of his neighbors scream.
....
Upon waking up startled by a scream, his eyes groggily opened, the warmth of the blanket he was swaddled in and the sound of faint music playing reminded him that he was still at his apartment.
He wiped the crust from the corners of his eyes while yawning like a dog, sitting up and looking around.
Where's John? He thought as he scratched his head, noticing the boy not laying beside him like last night.
Last night.... Alex lifted his fingers to brush against the skin of his lips, smirking smugly and blushing lightly.
Last night was amazing.
Of course, not as amazing as it would be to wake up to see the morning glow in the eyes of his new lover.
Which brought him back to waking up.
Alexander shot up rather quickly looking around for the source of the scream. He stood up and tripped over his bag, making his way to the bathroom where he could here crying.
Was he crying because he was in pain? Surely he could just take a hot bath and it'd be gone but that's obviously not the case.
Alex decided to fuck being courteous and open the door, frowning as he saw John sitting on the floor, covered in water- or tears- in his Iron Man underwear because "Spider Man is overrated."
His instincts told him to crouch near him and stare a bit. Trying to figure out what was wrong.
At first he thought he had fell off the toilet, but then he'd be holding his ass cheeks, so no.
Then he thought, maybe he slipped. But as expected, John wasn't holding his leg or something.
So then he assumed that maybe it was a different problem. Alex tried to meet his eyes but figured John hadn't even notice him. "John? Mi amor, are you okay?" He started slowly, trying his best to fight the urge to hug him.
Nearly scaring the shit out if him, John gasped loudly and started spitting out questions.
"W-where am I!? Where's Nala? Did she eat? Is she okay!?"
"You're at home, Nala's in her tank, yes she ate last night, and yes, she's okay."
John stared ahead for a minute before looking at him. "A-alex?"
"Yes John?" Alexander somewhat smiled slightly at his adorably confused boyfriend.
"You're Alex," John frowned at him in a dumbfounded way.
"I'm Alex," Alexander echoed.
"You're here. With me?"
"I'm here with you, baby." He watched as John licked his swollen lips in thought, turning away from him to think.
Alexander, who couldn't stop chuckling, watched with an amused expression. When John turned around, he had tiny tears in his eyes.
"I thought y-you...you left me a-and-" He embraced Alex in a tight hug, crying into his bare shoulder.
"Noo, no, no...baby why would you think that?" Alexander held him, not even half as tight as John was holding him.
"I had a dream t-that you left me a-and I was so sad, because I thought that you loved me but you didn't and-
and-" John didn't let himself finish as he cried even more into Alexander's messy bed hair and shoulder. The air trapped in his throat prevented him to breathe correctly.
"No, baby. I love you very much, so much, actually." He forced John away from him so he could wipe the boy's eyes with his thumb, kissing each of his tear stained cheeks.
"Don't ever feel like I don't care about you, even if this technically is our second day meeting each other, I still feel a great amount of fondness for you so don't ever," Alex leaned in so that his nose was smushed against John's like a four year old would do to exclaim absolute seriousness.
"Ever, ever-" he kept his face on his, staring into his teary eyes.
"-think that I don't love you." He ended his sentence with a kiss to John's lips, smiling as he pulled back.
John tried to hide a shy smile, wiping his eyes. Alex helped him stand up and they both walked back into John's room, flopping on the bed lazily.
"I just want to sleep forever, sometimes..." Air mindedly, John murmured, face stuffed in his blankets. To be honest, they'd forgotten to wash them.
Ew.
"I know right? But then I wouldn't be able to be with you," he kissed his hand lovingly and John's heart was about to spontaneously combust into glitter.
He smiled at Alex and rested his head on his bare chest, listening to his heart beat and the weird sounds his chubby tummy made. John thought it was adorable that Alexander was a bit chubby. Plus, he had an innie bellybutton which caused John to pretend his finger was getting sucked in by a black hole.
All was well.
Until a phone rang.
"Hello?" John kept his head on Alex's chest as he talked.
"Hey son! I'll be at John's place in about ten minutes. Kinda got stuck in traffic but I'll be there in time."
Alex froze at the sound of his George's voice. He forgot that they were supposed to go out to eat so that his George could meet John.
Shit... Alexander jumped up, startling John who was playing with his bellybutton.
"Hey man! What's up?" John scratched his head and frowned as Alex scurried off to find some pants.
"My George will be here soon! He's taking us out for breakfast! Wash up and get dressed, John!" Yelling from John's kitchenette, Alex said
John, shook, stood up from the bed, wincing at the pain in his lower abdomen. But when wincing, he also smiled a bit. Alex did that to him, and to think something that hurt so bad would make John so happy.
He slightly limped over to his tiny dresser and pulled out a nice pair of jeans and a dark green Joker shirt. He quickly put them on in the bathroom, rubbing his bruised neck in the mirror and sighing.
The marks were starting to go away bur to John they just looked pretty blending into his toned, freckled skin. The purple and red marks looking like a vibrant Vincent Van Gogh painting. "A work of art," John heard Alex say. He wrapped his arms around his waist from the back and looked at their reflection.
"You left so many marks, Alex..." John muttered, bringing his hand to run them under his fingers.
Alexander smiled and kissed his cheek, tangling his fingers in the curly brown locks that he's grown to like. "Because you're my human and I'm your sexy vampire boyfriend," He made playful scary hand gestures. I'm supposed to mark my property."
"Oh," John giggled.
"Don't you have makeup to cover them up? George might suspect we've been doing some shady things." He wiggled his eyebrows before walking out of the bathroom and sliding on his hoodie.
The other shrugged and looked to Alex, "Oakland Raiders?" He read out loud and Alex was confused until he looked down at the hoodie he just pulled on.
"Oh, yeah! That's Thomas' home town team, they haven't been to the super bowl since 2003, but I bet they'll have a comeback soon." Alexander spoke, slipping on his timberlands and grabbing a hair comb from his bag.
"Who's Thomas?" John raised an eyebrow in the mirror, trying to cover up the hickey's with baby powder. He often refused using the concealer Lafayette had bought for him because it made his freckles go away and then he'd look weird with a body full of freckles and no freckles on his face. He probably would look like he had no eyebrows.
Well, he didn't have any to begin with anyway.
"Thomas is just a friend of mine who likes Oakland shirts. He's a big dork so don't worry too much about it." Alex was now standing next to John, combing through his hair.
Why is he wearing his sweater then? Is that what friends do? John looked at Alex for a bit before focusing on his own hair.
John's watched tons of movies and usually the boyfriend gives the girlfriend a hoodie. And not that he's suspecting something but last time John checked, Alex was from New York.
"How'd you get an Oakland hoodie in New York?"
"Thomas likes to travel."
"Why'd he give it to you?"
"He didn't give it to me, I stole it."
"Oh, okay." John let up his interrogation, pulled his hair into a pony tail, and walked out of the bathroom. He tugged his shoes on just as there was knocking on the door.
When Alex opened it, he grinned widely. "George!"
"Son!"
John watched their interaction with curiosity as they hugged each other with big smiles. He wish his dad would hug him like that, but his dad was nowhere to be found.
"George, look, there's John!" Alex pulled away and pointed at his boyfriend who stood awkwardly in front of the older man, waving a bit.
"Ah, John. The famous boy Alexander always complains that he blushes too much." George gave a welcoming smile while John's face darkened with a shade of pink.
"Nice to meet you," George offered a handshake, which John accepted and repeated the statement given to him.
John stood noticably uncomfortable and George decided to make it easier on the boy. "So, you're all ready to eat? I know this great cafe that serves the best pancakes ever, trust me." He spoke while they followed him out of John's apartment.

........
Time passed quickly and before John knew it, they were at the cafe, ordering their breakfast for the day.
"Georrrge, mi hermoso padre-"
"No." George answered simply.
"But whyyyy?" John raised an eyebrow at Alexander's childish behavior, which is a sight he hadn't seen. He was way different in bed.
"It has way too many calories, do you want to get all fat and have to roll on the floor to get to the kitchen?" George pointed to the adult section of the menu. "Eat."
"No...that stuff is sugar free, do you want my blood sugar to be as low as my grades?" Alex huffed, pushing the menu away from him.
"Alex, I'll share the pancakes with you, if you want?" This was John's first time talking since arriving and Alexander's eyes lit up.
"Really, John?! ¿Lo feliz que estoy?!" Alex leaned towards John's menu, purposely avoiding George because he had offended his amount of sugar and calorie intake.
"Why do you switch to french all of a sudden?" John had to ask, he was a bit curious. Maybe it was national speak French day because Lafayette had did the same.
"It's Spanish. And it's usually to annoy George when he's being a butt face," Alex scrunched his face at his George who stuck his tongue out in return, wiggling his fingers under his chin.
"Hi, I'm your waiter, what would you like to order?" George looked up and saw a pretty woman, about the same age as him and smiled.
"I would like two plates of pancakes-"
"George!" Alexander slid closer to him on the booth they sat in and whispered, "please get me the red velvet pancakes!"
"No," George was about to order again when Alex pulled his shirt sleeve.
"Pleeasee? I promise I won't attack your brother again!" The older looked down at the big puppy eyes and and pouting lip and sighed.
He turned back to the waiter who smiled cheerfully. "Can I get two plates of pancakes, one regular and one red velvet?"
The waitress nodded happily while scribbling down the order, taking George's before walking away.
"She seems pretty," Alex absent mindedly commented while adding something to his Instagram.
John looked at him for a second, then to George who waved him off with a soft smile. He was curious as to why Alexander seemed to act more child like with his George. Perhaps because he hadn't have had one? Alex did mention that his father left and his mother died.
Once they had gotten done eating, George had drove the back to John's apartment, where Alex looked a but unhappy. John wanted to ask what was up but George seemed to pull him aside and talk to him separately, leaving John in his tiny living room concerned.
They talked for about five minutes and then George left, waving to John and leaving an upset looking Alexander in the kitchenette.
"Hey, what's up?" John tried to casually approach him but failed horribly.
"George says we'll have to leave Carolina earlier than we thought. Apparently, his boss needs him," rolling his eyes and crossing his arms over his chest.
"Well, that's just life-"
"No it's not," Alex cut him off frowning. "Because we are supposed to stay a week longer but now we'll be leaving in four days."
John sighed and gave Alex a side hug, letting the smaller lean into his comforting warmth. "It's alright." With no reply, they stayed like that for a while, leaning against the kitchen counter top.
The thoughts of Alex began to fill his mind. Like how he acted around his George, John wanted to confront him. And he should because he's his boyfriend so that's what boyfriends do. Check up on their partners.
"Hey Lexi? Why did you act like that?"
"Hm?"
"In front of your da-....George?"
"What do you mean, John?" Alex looked up at him, frowning in confusion. John stared at Alex a bit before shaking his head and restating his comment.
"I mean, you act childish in front of him, why?"
"No I don't. I act the same around you," the smaller laughed a bit, more of his confusion showing in his face.
Just as expected, Alex thought nothing of his behavior. John sensed that maybe he just has a goofball relationship with his George. Maybe the reason why he never called George dad was because his dad was an ass?
Who knows?
John decided to let the topic drop and bring up something else. "So...." He rocked on the balls of his feet. "I'm saving up to head to NYC...maybe in the summer."
"Really? John that's..." Alex started to smile but then it dropped quickly.
"Alex, what were you going to say?"
"I..." He looked up at the boy who seemed to be pondering something in that big ass head of his. John unwrapped his arm from the smaller and sighed.
"It's okay if you think it's a bad idea, I underst-"
"Marry me!"
John choked on air, wide eyes looking at Alexander like he had three legs and had an octopus family waddling behind him. "W-what?"
"Marry me! That way you can move to New York with me and the both of us can have kids, live long, and die old! Oh John, I want like, five kids!"
F-five...kids?
John thought he would surely pass out at the given information. New York? Marriage? Kids? He could barely support himself and Nala, he didn't need more mouths to feed. And the hell was Alexander thinking? This is their third day together as an official couple, they hadn't even had a date yet but he was already proposing.
"A-Alexander....you can't be serious," while rubbing the back of his neck, John said to Alex who's eyes were like glittery saucers.
"I'm as serious as a bunny having a heart attack while giving birth." He smiled big. "Just think of it, you wouldn't have to ever worry about being alone because we'll be sleeping in the same room together!"
Okay no.
Actually, hell no.
"Alex, I know that you think this is a good idea and all but... isn't it all too sudden? We haven't even gone on a second date, let alone and official first one." John felt bad as he saw his smile drop. He took his hands in his.
"I mean, yeah obviously," Alex looked away sheepishly. "But don't you want to leave Carolina? It's boring here."
The freckled boy sucked his teeth, casting his eyes to the ground in a scowl. "Not really, Alex. South Carolina is my home. It's what makes me me," he looked back up to him and frowned. "I'm all for visiting the Big Apple, but moving there is just too much of a wild move for me."
Despite his sad let down, Alexander nodded in understanding, biting his lip and his cheeks going red in embarrassment. "You're right John, I'm sorry. I was just letting.y mouth move before my brain and now I look like a fool."
"You're not a fool." John, still holding his hands, attempted to kiss his frown away. "A dumbass, maybe, but never a fool."
"Even if I want five kids?"
"Even if...." It pained John to say, "Even if you want five kids."
"Promise?"
John smushed his face against the latter's, making their noses do cute bunny kisses. "I promise."
"Ew," Alex pushed John away, laughing. "Your breath smells like ass."
"Your ass, of course." He slapped him playfully as they stood in the kitchenette engaging in tiny conversations as they held each other with a smile placed delicately of the both of their lips.
And all was well.
..
"That's all we should've ever been."
"I know.."
......
