What I Need

I don't need a rock, I need a river. I don't need hard surface that is stiff, that has the ability to break in a single strike. I need something I can float on, something forever changing. Something calm, that will pull me to the surface, not chain me to the bottom and wait for me to drown.

My river is strong, free flowing. It takes me to shallow waters and follows everywhere. I'm never alone, even through the roughest storms that may break your rock. My river will cradle me its depths and envelop me in its warm waters. In these storms, it carries me away to a safer place.

My river is my sanctuary, my home, my palace. I don't need a rock, all I need is my river.
